Super Service. Very accommodating drinks were refilled automatically. Modern kitchen. Greetings from the kitchen were offered.

We spontaneously went to eat at the city pool. Since everything was reserved, we had to make do with a seat near the entrance. It's your own fault if you don't make a reservation. At this time of year, this place is very uncomfortable as you are constantly hit with cold air (quite a lot of walking, including from the staff). You could certainly set up an airlock. The welcome was friendly and the restaurant was pleasantly decorated. The service definitely has room for improvement. The staff needs to be better trained, especially how and from which side to serve drinks and food. For starters we had soup, which was very good. However, I didn't understand why our bread was taken away immediately, austerity measures? The main course was cream schnitzel with butter noodle and vegetables. The butter noodles were very dry, stuck together in a ball and were bland. The meat was pretty dry, just ok. There definitely wasn't enough sauce. Overall it was OK, but definitely has room for improvement. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio for a lunch menu is at the threshold. I would have preferred to give 3 1/2 points, but you can't.

Cozy restaurant with a lot of charm and a small menu where the dishes change regularly. The service is very friendly, warm and professional. The food was always excellent. A great experience every time.

Unfortunately, the portions were definitely too small, but we paid a lot for that. The quality of the food is very good, but after the sweet potatoes I went home and still had to raid the fridge. For a menu without meat or fish, I think Fr 32 is a lot. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Good cuisine, but very expensive. Very small selection, staff great. Never again.

The quality of the food is definitely very good. However, the portion was almost embarrassingly small. The prices are high for that. The service is hardly convincing and the atmosphere is not really great. In addition, the selection of dishes is extremely small. In short, I'll never again and I can't recommend the city pool with a clear conscience.

Very tasty, even for allergy sufferers (celiac disease / gluten-free)! Atmosphere also very cozy.

Very cool and stylish restaurant right on the river. The atmosphere is relaxed and the furnishings are minimalist and cozy. I like the inverted cauldrons as lamps and the wooden tables. The menu is reduced, which I think is great, and filled with some Japanese dishes that are simply great! The small menu has a lot of unconventional things to offer and I would like to try it out! The service was also top. Very friendly and approachable, attentive but unobtrusive, just as I wish! An ideal place to stay!

The selection in the menu is small and seems to change. But the selection of what makes it to the menu is unconventional and excellent.

Delicious lunch menus at fair prices. Service attentive and not intrusive. Great table on the terrace with a view of the Aare. We'll definitely come back.

We (four greedy best agers) celebrated a birthday. The menu is original and varied, the service was very friendly despite the full tables and the food was really excellent: surprising, new but appropriate flavor combinations make you take your hat off to this cuisine! A ray of hope in the Swiss schnitzel, pizza and kebab desert. We wish you much success -

Thank you very much, the food was excellent, fine fresh salad and wonderful bowls. We'd love to come back. The service was super nice. We forgot our souvenirs from the canton of Vaud in the restaurant and only noticed them on the train to Zurich. After phoning the restaurant, the friendly service employee offered to send us what we had purchased home by post. We haven't had such nice service in a long time. Thank you for that.

Very good restaurant, service always courteous, very friendly! The food was a sensation. The food is finished at the counter for the last time before it goes to the guest. The head chef constantly prepares his works of art with a smile on his face. I can only recommend it, it's worth a visit if you're in Olten.. (:

The Strandbad restaurant has been newly renovated and has been open again since January 2022. I really enjoyed my first visit since then. The redfish dish was anything but run-of-the-mill. It impressed me both visually and taste-wise. A good prerequisite for further visits...

Wir haben zu zweit auf dem Balkon gegessen. Die Aussicht und die freundliche Bedienung waren sehr angenehm. Das Essen war sehr gut, würzig und schön angerichtet. Besonders zu erwähnen sind die Riesen-Gambas und die Croquetas mit Trüffel. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir haben reserviert und gesagt, wir kommen um ca. 13 Uhr, es kann aber auch ca. 15min später werden. Alles klar hiess es. 13:15 dort, wird uns gesagt wir sind zu spät: der Koch habe EINE SITZUNG (!). Absolut lächerlich, wess ja nicht wie das Essen hier ist aber für so eine Aktion verdient dieses Restaurant 1 Stern, was ein schlechter Service.

Sehr stickig, viel Rauch im Restaurant. Preise sind okay. Wenn man einen Platz an der Hausmauer hat, wird es sehr kalt. Wir mussten unmittelbar nach dem Essen wieder aufbrechen, weil es uns zu kalt und stickig war. Ansonsten schöne Atmosphäre, im Sommer echt toll.

Such a place! I visited many restaurants in many countries and I can honestly say that this restaurant is in my top 5 for sure! Amazing place with marvellous food and people. I could have not believe that in a little town like Olten you can find such a jewelry. The Chef and his team are just too professional if I could say something like this, always welcoming with a huge smile and never rushing you, giving you so much genuine attention that you really feel special. Regarding the food it is a fusion style tapas cuisine, very tasty and with a beautiful fine dinning aspect. After you finish the courses the Chef comes to your table to chat a bit with you and asking for feedback, always taking it with a smile and happy to hear whatever you have to say. The Service team is also impressive, going all the time their extra mile to create your experience amazing! I would definitely recommend it any time!

Sehr empfehlenswert, es ist ein Erlebnis!

Als erstmalige Besucherin hatten mich die Preise der Tapas erstmal geschockt- dies umso mehr, als die Kellnerin uns zu Verstehen gab, dass die Portionen nicht sehr gross seien. Die Portionen waren denn aber doch ganz angemessen und v.a. war das Essen geschmacklich top! Super gewürzt, leckeres Aroma, gute Kombinationen-- kann v.a. den Fenchel-Salat, das Lamm mit Chorizo, die Kroketten mit Pilzen sowie das Bruschetta empfehlen. War sehr lecker! Die Getränke waren nur mittelmässig. Der Wein eher teuer für den mittelmässigen Geschmack, und beim frischen/hausgemachten Eistee schwamm ein angeschimmeltes Ingwerstückchen drin. Nichtsdestotrotz: Würde wieder kommen! Das Essen, kombiniert mit der absolut genialen (!) Location mit Blick auf den Fluss, garantieren einen schönen Abend.

Das neue Konzept mit echt (und ich meine wirklich echt) spanischen Tapas passt perfekt! Bedienung super nett und in der Küche ein motivierter spanischer Koch. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

At lunch time only buffet which is amost exclusively veggie. You can get some kind of pasta. The location on the river is very nice, but food related , at least at lunch, I won't repeat my experience.

Tolles resti mit super qualitäts food. Hatte einen super burger. Im sommer schöne terrasse mit blick auf die aare. Klein und gerade deshalb gemütlich.

Der Weg vom Büffet, zur Suppenausgabe, an der Kasse vorbei zum Sitzplatz ist recht mühsam. Für's Take Away sollte es eine separate Lösung geben, damit die Restaurant Gäste nicht so lange warten müssen. Essen, Ambiente, Freundlichkeit ist top.

4 Gang Überraschungsmenü 1. Feine Supoe mit einem leider sehr schlechten Salami. Der Salami wurde von der Serviertochter als Haus-Salami betitelt. Leider sowohl geschmacklich, wie in der Konsistenz (sehr weich) nicht zu empfehlen. 3/5 Zu der Suppe gab es leider keinen Löffel. So dass ich die Suppe schlürfen musste. 2. Das Tartare auf Tomaten war sehr lieb angerichtet. Aber leider etwas zu fad abgeschmeckt. 3/5 3. Das Entrecote auf heissen Stein war sehr gut und perfekt angetichtet. Ohne Gewürze. Weder Salz noch Pfeffer. Kann man durchaus so servieren, aber dann sollte Salz auf dem Tisch vorhanden sein. Die in Folien eingewickelte Kartoffel war gut, aber auch da wurde sehr brav gewürzt, leider. 4/5 4. Das Dessert habe ich nicht ganz verstanden, aber es war lecker. Nur leider wurde nicht gefragt ob ich ein Kaffee oder so dazu haben möchte. 4/5 Der Koch war sehr bemüht und hat sein beytes gegeben. Obwohl er alleine in der Küche war und so einiges zu tun hatte. Das Servicepersonal war freundliche, aber  überfordert. Das Ambiente war gut. Kleines aber feines Restaurant an der Aare in Olten. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis: 66 SFr. geht völlig in Ordnung für dieses 4 Gang Menü. Werde sicherlich wenn sich die Gelegenheit ergibt, nochmals reinschauen.

ich war am burgerabend dort und hatte den veganen superburger. ich hatte echt schon viele vegane burger und weiss daher, dass diese sehr gut schmecken können. traf leider auf den superburger nicht zu. war essbar, aber sonst geschmacksneutral. sehr schade, vor allem in anbetracht des enormen preises bei kleiner portion.

Wow - das Essen war sehr fein und frisch zubereitet. Die total freundliche und sehr aufgestellte Bedienung war äusserst aufmerksam. Tolle eingerichtetes Lokal. Der hausgemachte Icetea ist suuper.

Sehr teuer für Leute welche viel Essen. Ich habe heute für ein Mittagessen ohne Getränk 49.- bezahlt. Und die Qualität war alles andere als 49.- wert! Das Angebot beschränkt sich übrigens vorwiegend auf Kohlenhydrate. Ich bin enttäuscht und kann das Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schön renoviert, topadresse für glutenfreies Essen und vegane Mahlzeiten. Freundliches, kompetentes Personal, einfach gemütlich und eine tolle Aufwertung des Restaurants.

Small, but nice view of the river

Das Restaurant wurde im Dezember 2016 mit neuem Besitzer komplett renoviert neu eröffnet. Das Essen ist sehr fein und definitiv "frisch", das Ambiente ebenfalls sehr schön gemacht (ich war vorher nie dort und habe daher keinen Vergleich).
