Very cute establishment and location with a very beautiful landscape. As for food, we had a fondue for 29€/person, which comes to 58€ for 2! The sausage costs €9... I find the price exorbitant for the quantity that is served... As for the taste, it was very good.

Amazing! Well worth the walk up the hill. Excellent fondue and bratwurst. Exactly what I was hoping for in a swiss fondue experience. No view due to weather but would highly recommend regardless.

We finally managed to pay a visit to the barn. There really isn't too much promise😃 We felt very comfortable. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and it continued like that throughout our entire stay. The fondue was wonderful. It's clear to us that we'd love to come back, even in the summer when you can sit outside on the terrace.

Wonderful fondue, with Grindelwald cheese. With bread and delicious little potatoes to dip in it. I didn't know this variant. And such a pretty smile to serve us.

One of the BEST places you can spend an evening in Grindelwald...hands down. We come spend an evening here each and every time we are in town.

Beautiful surroundings, but the waiter is very rude and unwelcoming (maybe due to skin color). Our family of four visited and two ordered drinks, others wanted to eat but didn't find the best options hence didn't order. The idea was to have quick drinks by two members but was treated badly, and the other two were unwelcomingly told not to sit. Won't recommend this restaurant. I hope the service can be better next time🤞🤞🤞.

Went there after our hike - the Alpine Herb Raclette was - according to my boyfriend - amazing !! Also had the small green salad - and some local Beer 🍻 Very nice Terrace to sit outside and look down to Grindelwald and the Eiger Nordwand

We chose this place to celebrate after our friends’ engagement earlier in the day. I had emailed the owner Monika who promptly responded and was very helpful in setting up a table and menu for us. She even went out of her way to prepare decorations. The photos I had seen in reviews do not remotely show how incredible the food and views are. We were blown away by how good the Swiss food was- fondue, potatoes, bratwurst. Even though it’s a little bit of a trek, you can take a bus here and it’s worth it!

The view is really great and the meal is pretty good too. Just skip the coffee and dessert~

Amazing little spot in the mountains with very hospitable service and the best fondue.

We went to look for new views along those streets and we found a beautiful terrace with direct views of the mountains and the town. A true marvel. I had a good coffee and my wife had an infusion, as we always dreamed of. Coffee and infusion €8. You can pay by card. It has parking for one vehicle.

Magnificent dinner even though we couldn't enjoy the views from the terrace because it was raining. It is not expensive for Switzerland and the fondue is delicious. Very friendly. Highly recommended

Was at the train station and looking for something good to eat for lunch. Saw this spot has great ratings and decided to make the trek up the hill to the restaurant. It was about a 30 minute walk on a sunny warm day and halfway through I questioned how much the great reviews meant to me haha😅😅 but I figured the exercise would be good before my meal. Definitely glad I stuck with it, the owner/staff were very accommodating and pleasant. I had the brat and green salad, probably the best I’ve had in this area. It was so good that I ended up ordering the same thing for takeaway to have for dinner later. Also: THE VIEW! 😍 sad I’m staying in Lauterbrunnen or I’d be here a lot more. Stop by and check it out!!!

The salad was topped with a ready-made dressing. You can do better. Unfortunately, the potato salad that came with the bratwurst was also industrial. He was very vinegary. Something like that gives me instant heartburn. The little carrot hearts were nice. The best thing was the view from the terrace.

A restaurant where you can enjoy delicious fondue outdoors with a Swiss atmosphere. It looks like a restaurant in a rural town and the owner is quite friendly. It was my first time trying fondue, and I was disappointed because it was a lot saltier than I expected, but I don't know that salty tastes are unpleasant, so it was so salty that I didn't even feel thirsty. I ate it with the recommended local beer and it was delicious.

This was the most amazing off the beaten path find in Switzerland. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was magical. We sat outside and watched the sun set on the stunning mountains of the Swiss Alps. Our server wasn’t the most welcoming gal around lol.. but this was a special find for sure.

A restaurant worth visiting if you're staying in Grindelwald ~~ I guess it's a popular local restaurant, but a lot of customers come here haha. The fondue is soft but very salty 🫨 But I got used to it and ate it haha. They even checked to make sure I didn't have enough potatoes and bread. I was worried that the portion would not be enough, but the two of us ate to our fill (1 male, 1 female). I ordered a glass of white wine that was recommended and it was delicious. I heard that Switzerland does not export wine, so try it when you come!

A wonderful experience. The fondue was excellent along with the cheese/meat plate. Definitely recommend the Hotberry dessert. You can tell this is a local place (no English on Menu) and it is fantastic. Staff was welcoming. Highly recommend!!!!!

Excellent cuisine! Cosy restaurant . Beautiful scenery! One of the best fondue and raclette in town! The geeen salad was fresh and delicious.  highly recommended. The hospitality was the icing on the cake. The owners were always smiling, and the service was excellent.

Our favourite restaurant in Switzerland! The server was very nice and you can’t beat the view. We ordered the Raclette which tasted amazing. We came on a Monday at 15:00 and there were many seats available. A little out of the way but it’s only one bus from Grindewald train station. 100% recommend

Best fondu with the most incredible views!

Probably the best and most beautiful place in the world to go for fondue.

View from the top is absolutely amazing and stunning 😍. Food is good, apoarently coming from regional farmers so it's nice. Unfortunately, prices are quite high compared to the sizes. About 17-20 CHF for Raclette or Kaseschnitte. We also could not order one portion of Fondue (you need to order at least 2, which is quite expensive ~50CHF). Another problem was our waitress who did not speak english very well. Anyway, for a drink or small snack it's a perfect spot with wonderful view on the mountains.

Food is amazing!! we had potato salad with a grilled sausage and 2 coffees. You have to make a reservation to order special menu like fondue, grilled meats and etc. The view is also breath taking with delicious food. However, serving is a bit slow and menu has no English so it is hard to figure out the menu. I will visit again with reservation.

The place has a beautiful view... The staff are normal... I tried to order a fondue meal, but unfortunately the employee said that it contains an alcoholic drink (wine) 🍾 There's not much on the menu It is enough and serves ice cream and how many dishes I think it's not worth the effort

Arrived without reservation. Even though everything was full, we received a very warm welcome. Delicious raclette with absolutely quality cheese. The older lady served us with love. We would like to recommend this restaurant.

The fondue was delicious and the views are spectacular. At a good price and to highlight the kindness of the staff, I forgot my bag, I realized it when I was in another town and they kept it for me so I could go pick it up. Vielen Dank 🙂 A site of 10!

Nice little hut with a small menu but delicious, traditional food.

Absolutely incredible! Very small restaurant that's obviously for the locals with incredible views, food, and hospitality. We showed up with 9 people and the owner was completely shocked but happy that foreigners had some how found her place. There's only space for about 20 people or so to eat there at a time, and it was already full/booked for reservations when we got there. But the owner/chef was so nice and accommodating and she set us up on the lawn with some tables and chairs, and that's how we had our best meal in Switzerland! They were having a summer cookout, so we each had a steak or sausage which she cooked personally out on the deck along with various accoutrements provided. Absolutely lovely, but would recommend trying to call in to make a reservation if you have a large party.

Top service and the flam and raclette are good. I also loved the green salad which was perfectly seasoned and the cocktails.

Enjoyable lunch overlooking the Eiger North Wall and Grindelwald. You can enjoy light raclette and fondue at an affordable price. It's a great restaurant with friendly owners and a perfect view. I want to visit every time I come to Grindelwald.

the stable bar was on the way to the chalet short stop and a little refreshment very friendly and accommodating and the snacks were good My cheese slices with ham and pineapple were very good, i.e. the cheese 😎 beautiful sun terrace with fur on the chairs and a great view of Grindelwald and the mountains recommended

Very nice restaurant! Four of us were there spontaneously on Sunday after a day of skiing and we all had the raclette plate dish (18 CHF) The cheese itself was tasty, but after a day on the slopes I would have been happy with 2-4 more potatoes on my plate. The service was super nice and we would definitely come back :-)

Lovely place. Easy to take the bus there from the center of Grindelwald. We enjoyed the fondue and the house wine. Didn't realise we needed to prebook a taxi back (as the bus stops running in the evening), but we managed to get one 50 mins later.

Friendly and beautiful views of Grindelwald

Very friendly, very well supplied fleishtich.

What we liked most was the atmosphere of the place, it is like a little wooden house well insulated, and it is located in a place with very nice views. Although we went at night and you could not appreciate it. I would improve the service, in the sense that they did not explain to us how the cheese portions for the Raclette come. The cheese portions range from 15 to 18 fr. We asked for a mix of them, and she brought us 12 slices of the 4 types of cheese, nor did he tell us how many portions he would bring or what he would charge. There were 2 of us and we ate 4 slices each, what is more or less normal portion. When I asked her how many portions she had brought she didn't want to answer, she said: At discretion. I asked her again and she answered: Enough. But it was clear that she didn't want to answer, and that's because you eat 1 portion and he charges you for 2 portions. I'm not saying it's expensive, I'm saying they don't want to inform you. If you want Raclette, before ordering, ask how many slices you get. Another thing we didn't like, was that the pickles come 5, 2 of them were fatal, they were canned mushrooms and pineapple. A good customer service goes beyond asking: Alles gut.

Absolutely fantastic little place, away from the centre of Grindelwald with a fantastic view over the valley. The menu consists of local products made to perfection. We had the traditional cheese fondue and aperitif (meats and cheese). The place itself seems to be a renovated barn, made cosy with plenty of traditional Swiss decorations. The hostess Monika organised our evening via email prior to our arrival and was super friendly throughout the evening. There should be more places like this...

This place is beyond fantastic. Great fondue accompanied by excellent white. And the view is simply stunning. We will return.
