Starbucks in Bern

The Hirshengarben branch is an excellent place to work at, very comfortable! But the food options are small and getting smaller by the hour. They're never renewed, which apparently is expected at Starbucks. Go figure..

Internet hasn’t worked in two weeks

Ordered cheesecake with raspberries to take away. Received “ordinary” cheesecake. A little less bored demeanor and a little more attention would be desirable

A bit of a long wait... Service seems deeply relaxed

Coffee was good, service friendly. Toilet is just disgusting. It hasn't been cleaned properly for a long time. Hence the bad rating.

Simply too expensive for sugar and water, prefer to support regional products.

Consumption on December 2nd, in the afternoon: The four baristas were talking to each other at an uncomfortably loud level and it took almost over ten minutes to make an espresso, even though there were no other customers in line. There was more chatting than work. A bit disappointing for the usual service at Starbucks.

Very good Starbucks with a very nice atmosphere. The service is unfortunately slow... Always only one box open and preparations take time.

Absolutely worse service possible, 2 employees at counter completely ignore us for a minute and when they finally looked at us no „hello“ not even to ask what we want to order, of course at end of service no goodby or at least minimum of politeness, and the worse part, I was few times before in this Starbucks and almost every time is same or similar situation, absolut zero of service.

Great place to drink a coffee, to meet with people, to work or read a book. It is well located, it is big and the service is fast

The staff isn't necessarily friendly and you get the feeling that it sucks for them to work. Drinks good, ambience not cozy like coffee at a train station

Really cozy place, the service is good and for the drinks and food it's also good. I mostly order through the app and haven't had any problems at all. Sometimes, they forget the whipped cream, but they add it once I ask them.

Service not like you would expect from Starbucks service. Pretty disappointing. Drinks were somehow 'splashed'. Ambience?? There wasn't. Everything was quite hectic and quite disorganized.

Super nice people working here, customer focused and helpful. The chai tea latte was really tasty. ^^

Outrageously small portions via Too Good To Go. And this despite the fact that I was practically the last person to pick up just before the store closed and there was still a lot of perishable food on the shelves! The employees probably put these in themselves and the customer then gets the mouse portion...

Starbucks... It's probably similar all over the world. Expensive, but you know what you're getting. Very practical to linger if you have to do something on your laptop in the morning before you continue...

Typical Starbucks regarding food and drinks. Service was not super fast, the Atmosphere was a bit too cold for my taste, could have been more cozy. Bit still great for my Sunday morning work time.

My first Starbucks experience was in Bern. Calm and chic environment. Bathroom with digital code instead of a key. Fast and polite service to tourists.

It is a place where you can relax in a cozy atmosphere, having a coffee of the varied types they offer and at the same time eat a sandwich and a good dessert.

Starbucks near the station It was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was okay.

What I especially like is that there are many vegan alternatives - soy chai latte, almond/oat milk for coffee, for Frappuccino...etc. It also has vegan desserts and sandwiches. But the prices are quite high.

Pleasant atmosphere and comfortable seats. Ordered Cookies&Cream Frappuccino, Coolies&Cream Brownie and Caffè Latte. Everything tasted very good and there was even a lactose-free alternative. Friendly staff.

This is Starbucks in front of Bern Station. If you sit here by the window and watch the busy people and trams in front of Bern Station, you can get a different feel from other parts of Switzerland. It felt even better on a rainy day. Unlike other regions, iced coffee is available, so if you're a fan of eating, be sure to visit.

Very crowded with students and people. The bathroom were decent. The latte were good too. A lot of seats and power outlets.

Overpriced and overrated. My cappuchino for 7.- wasn't even nicely presented. Tables were all dirty, generally not really clean.

Went to Starbucks for a drink on January 22nd. I'll put it this way - regarding service - you're either lucky or you're not. The store manager and barista were very unfriendly and you could see that they didn't love their job. After we asked for a clean cloth to clean a dirty table, we got an eye roll and an “if necessary” in return. The coffee and the rooms are cozy, but that's the only thing that's good about this shop.

Cozy, clean and always a great starting point for business thanks to fast WiFi. Since I don't actually like coffee that much - but there are plenty of alternatives, I'm happy to give it four stars. Unfortunately the toilets are not very clean and you could say run down. And it’s dirty too… well

Wrong goods delivered and drinks delivered without tubes plus poor telephone service and no replacement offered... worst Starbucks shop in Switzerland.

Starbucks, quite cozy, tasty (a little too sweet drinks), friendly service. I deduct one star for the fact that flavored drinks cannot yet be made sugar-reduced. That would be awesome! Everything else was great, I would love to come back.

Extremely long wait - even if there are only 2 customers in line, no cream in the evening - which they don't tell you - and then they charge the same price!

The waiters make an effort to speak your language, they are all super friendly.

I used to like Starbucks, but lately one can notice a deterioration mostly in the service and in hygiene. I have emailed the customer care before changing my review, they didn't handle my complaint properly so I feel itbis my responsibility to warn the readers. If you must go to Starbucks be careful when you get your beverage or food, check for spots, or lipstick traces on mugs and utensils before you drink or eat. And do try to avoid using their toilets. It is common knowledge that prices are high there. But you would actually expect the service to be friendly (since it is hopefully well paid), well organized and prompt (since there are enough people). But unfortunately that wasn't the case. There were dirty dishes all over and around the counter. You had to wait longer because there was only one person there to take the orders. The icing on the cake was the absolutely run-down, dingy toilet facility, where there wasn't even proper toilet paper. You had to wipe your hands and food with Starbucks napkins. The room was dirty, run down and smelled. Dear Starbucks, keep it up and your reputation will go hand in hand with hoo on the outside and yuck on the inside.

The service was terrible that day. I had to call out to them in a friendly way so that they would notice me. There were two young men and a young woman. They were so engrossed in flirting (which is ok when there are no customers) with each other that they completely ignored me and one other person. A pity. The leftover food hadn't been cleared away either; several tables were littered with it.

Much too noisy for some time: noise of dishes, vacuum cleaner half an hour before closing, etc. It was so much calmer before. Changed staff?

Mmh, was there again on a Sunday for a long time. More because nothing else is open on Sundays. Didn't think it was as great as it used to be: rather uncomfortable. It no longer has as many cozy corners, but now has huge tables. Rather a bit dirty, the tables and the toilet were almost dingy. Then the Indian music for over an hour. Occasionally I don't care, but in the long run it's more of a nuisance. They're nice, but instead of keeping everything clean when nothing was going on... It's a shame it turned out that way.

I always go to Starbucks when I go abroad, and Bern has a really cool building.

Seat not cleaned, coffee not warm, dirty in general

One of the few coffee shops in Bern that is also open on Sundays and offers internet connection. The employees are actually always polite. Unfortunately the music is often too loud and the toilet has been closed the whole time for the last 2 days. Given the prices, a functioning toilet would be nice :) and the music could be more subtle.

The blond small girl was very unfriendly and arrogant to me. Absolutely terrible customer service. I even got already used dirty cup (from red lipstick)...

I was there with my friends and it was very relaxed. The staff was super friendly. So if you're looking for a place to have a relaxed coffee, whether alone or with someone, it's highly recommended

Sympathy took me away, the staff seems to be in forced labor. I understand that it's not nice to work on Sundays, especially with the confusion, but they could try to be more friendly. Then 7.50 francs for a cappuccino with a bit of syrup is a bit exaggerated. Then it's better to pop into one of the many cafés in Bern.

Always a good time to share and have an hot vegan drink. I tried the latte (coconut) waffle caramel.... Delicious

Edit: thanks for the response, the portions for Too Good To Go are now decent. Original: The portions for Too Good To Go are very small. Of course it's still a good deal for 5.00, but you're supposed to get a portion worth 15.00 and that's certainly not achieved.

I got my first Americano in Switzerland at this location.

The coffee is very tasty but extremely expensive, it is clear that you pay for the name. The cold brew was very good, unsweetened and without milk.

At the upper "average price range" but high quality and very friendly.

Starbucks deserves 4 stars because it has a star atmosphere but costs too many bucks👌🏻😅 This Starbucks is very centrally located in Bern. There is a good atmosphere in the really beautiful building, which is furnished with a generous amount of space. We each had the delicious large hot chocolate and some good little things, like the Raspberry Cheesecake, which is highly recommended. There are only 4 stars because the prices are really extremely high and it's actually just normal hot chocolates etc.😅 You go there more for the feeling. In our case, we said goodbye to 2 friends who are returning to their home countries after 2 years on mission.

I think the hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. No matter where we visit one is always dirty!! I find it very unfortunate
