Starbucks in Basel

Ordered a cappuccino to enjoy in the cafe. Received in cardboard cup. When asked: “we have no more cups”. Conclusion: more appearance than reality.

After a good walk in Basel with the BB we arrived here in the basement, the places are quite large and had a good time with the family with a good coffee and small cakes. We were installed under the stairs and were able to put the BB stroller without problem in the middle of lots of young people.

Went there at carnival and were welcomed by friendly staff! I thought it was great that I was allowed to use the toilet without having to pay anything.👍

A classic Starbucks with a good street view. Downstairs is a silent and cozy working space. Toilets were clean.

I don't understand why they still serve boiled coffee in 2024.

Food/drink is okay, but expensive But we waited 25 minutes and the service wasn't that good or nice.

Have fun with diabetes. Sugar and water and then overpriced. I prefer to support regionally.

Starbucks coffee is and remains simply one of the best coffees you can enjoy outside. Unfortunately I still find the prices too expensive! It is still a very popular place, so you often have to expect queues and always worry that you won't find a seat. The cleanliness always raises doubts, as the staff often don't have time to clean the tables - let alone the toilet - due to their stress.

Very good location with a great view of the pedestrian promenade Freie Straße. We LOVE going to Starbucks, even if the baristas insist on making large coffee instead of medium.😂 The girls at the counter on New Year's Eve were not very friendly, but we understand them🥳 A big request to managers: in most coffee shops, your workers overheat the milk. This harms the drink and does not give an advantage in winter. And we still didn't have sticks to place sugar, we were forced to use drinking straws for two days in a row.

I wouldn't even give it one star! The woman asks, “with or without coffee?” I say "without" they say "only with" The tables downstairs were not cleared and the chairs were dirty. It wasn't worth the money to spend! Plus the prices are too high, which makes them even cheaper...I can barely afford a drink like that...

Not all the Christmas specialties (waffles and toffee) were present. Starbucks style products.

Was very dirty today. Employees were constantly arguing and things weren't moving forward. Received food in paper bags and drinks in cups even though we consumed in the restaurant. Tables in the basement are neither cleared nor cleaned. The elevator (I'm disabled and need the elevator) was extremely dirty and smelled of spoiled milk. My husband wanted to go to the toilet, came straight back out and said the lift was clean compared to the toilet, just disgusting. All in all a very negative experience today.

We love these cafes, they are always the first option if we don't know and don't see anything nearby. Everything was fine. As always petfriendly! Only that the bathroom was a little neglected I assume due to the number of people who use it! Due to the location of the cafeteria, it is within reach of tourists who do not consume at the premises and can use it. I recommend using the code on the bathroom door so it reduces it like many other Starbucks have done! The interior layout is super. I noticed that the used cups were accumulated on the shelf to leave mine, we had to organize the space a little 🤭

Normal Starbucks. Coffee was ok but the appearance wasn't very appetizing. The service was ok but no smile. I don't blame the workers, I blame Starbucks because they don't look after their employees well and pay them very poorly. The toilet is terrible. It smells dirty and the women only have 1 toilet.

Nice Starbucks in the city. Young team. Good vibes for working or just hang out. Just a point: cleaning more often downstairs.

Starbucks should be open longer everywhere in Basel, it closes too early and it would make even more sales if it was open longer in the evening.

Friday, September 29 in the afternoon, I placed my order as usual a cool lime refresha without water. Order that I have already tested in several starbucks with an extra that must be paid. Moreover having worked in the starbuck of the euro airport, I know that it is possible. But today in this starbuck I was told that it was impossible and that it did not exist. Okkkkk..... The girl at the counter is unpleasant, rude and talks about us with his colleague in German. I think they should be re-trained drinks because there are gaps. My sister if you don’t like your job leaves . Imbecile

Good wifi. New renovation. The place is conducive to communication in a cozy, calm atmosphere, thanks to the fact that the main hall is located on the -1st floor. Very suitable for communication and study. Very cool!! Children get a free BabyChino when sharing!!! There is one employee who loves children very much and cooks for them with great love!!!! Very expensive!!!!! And rude staff. The drinks creat with 2 click of essences, half cup of water, some ice cost almost 10CHF, are you joke with me ????? and the staff is very rude, they talk they drink. Not professional at all !!!! I don’t believe Starbucks ………. Also they used wrong cup for my drink. I used to like Starbucks. But since this experience, I will never go in my life!!!! Disappointed , disappointed , disappointed !

We go there often and have not had any complaints so far. Everyone is really nice and friendly and my caramel macchiato is exceptionally good. It has some tables outside and also seating in the basement. We are quite satisfied 💪🏻

i don’t recommend this place it’s dirty and the staff doesn’t know english. I went there with someone and first the staff didn’t know english which is a bad thing for me second i said i wanted espresso and the worker thougt i wanted double so i bought double and got 1 shot i know that it wasn’t 2 bc it obviously wouldn’t fit in the small cup. third the espresso cup was dirty (the cup and there was a lipstick) so i asked for another one and she just changed the cup not the cup and coffee. i really was in better places than that and for the record the other places were cheaper too.

I've had an iced coffee at Starbucks several times, but the one at this branch wasn't that good. It tasted very watered down and will stop me from ordering an iced coffee there again soon.

Starbucks equivalent to Starbucks elsewhere in the world. The prices are a little high but the drinks are excellent. We had a latte and an ice tea, we were not disappointed. The terrace is nice and the interior is spacious with a large, nicely furnished basement. The service is great.

It's really very hot 🔥 the air conditioning system is really broken.

The lady at the checkout was very unfriendly, almost cheeky and provocative! I felt very discriminated against! She also didn't listen to me properly, didn't respond to my wishes... and looked at me very disparagingly! Never come here again!!!

Long waiting times, unfortunately we forgot our drinks... then we picked them up again and then got other customers ready. Ice tea consisted more of water and therefore hardly any taste... for just under 9 CHF per person...

Gives us dirty plastic cups even though we drink there. I ordered a hot chocolate with cream and got so little cream that I can't even eat it. Then the saleswoman slaps a lid on me so I can't eat my cream. Lowest level, I don't recommend it to anyone, go to Starbucks at the Nike, they get it sorted out nicely. Drink way too warm. Never come back. Way too expensive for something like that. Really a shame.

The coffee is very good but very expensive.

At 11 a.m. on Monday there were few visitors and the toilets were already very disgusting and there was already no toilet paper to be found. If it's like that on Monday, I don't want to go there on a Saturday.

Ordering drink to drink in-house with a brownie. Drink was in a cup, but brownie in a bag. Pointing this out to barista, received brownie on a plate, no fork, no knife. Asked for fork and knife and watched a batista to pick a rag from underneath a sink, wet it, wipe a dirty fork with it and bring to me. Have serious doubts about cleanliness of the place now.

It's dirty even though you point it out, drinks are served in single dishes, spoons are made of wood instead of being washable (disgusting to have to have something like that in your mouth), hand disinfection is empty... a disgrace for the prices
