I really enjoyed the food. The burger was very tasty and value for money was right for me. The dessert was also good (Mövenpick ice cream). The ambience was quite pleasant and based on the Austrian style, but unfortunately the bench wasn't really comfortable. There were pillows, but not enough for everyone. The service was also friendly and it was a nice evening. There is also a photo wall (but the lighting conditions are not suitable for it).

Steakhouse zum roten Stier is part of the Melchthal Resort but can be visited by anyone. Dyring our stay at the resort we went to the steakhouse twice as the food was so good. All dishes were lively and of high quality. We had the cote a beuf, 800gr of meat which was fantastic! Then we also had Guidos Keule which was made with a beer sauce and also very tasty. The last main dish we enjoyed were the Spareribs (the bones can be pulled out by hand). As starters we also had the chorizo, the tartar and the salad. All meals were very good, I would recommend to accompany the meal with the house red wine. If you want to round off the evening I would recommend to try the “Heuschnaps” which is a product from Switzerland and is delicious.

We had dinner at the red bull. The service was great and very friendly. The food was very good and the whole restaurant is very friendly and cozy. Can only be recommended.

The staff, it couldn't be worse. No proper greeting. We had to defend ourselves from being given something to drink after the aperitif with our meal. At the next table, a group of six people sat on dry land for at least 30 minutes until people could place their food orders. They then got an aperitif, water and wine together. When we ordered our food, we didn't ask about the cooking level. The food was barely warm and not enough. You could have ordered additional side dishes, but then my steak would have been eaten in the meantime. Nobody from the staff even thought to ask if it tasted good. The gentleman with the black/red checkered vest, I assume the owner, probably had more important things to do than take care of the guests. The service staff was noticeably lacking concepts throughout the restaurant. I am aware that it is not easy to find staff, especially in the hospitality industry. But I'm going to say that not a single person in the service department is an expert. A new building in which the acoustics are catastrophic. It's hard to have a normal conversation in this restaurant because it's so loud. In the crowded theater pub, a day later it was easier to have a conversation. A steakhouse without a steak knife. Where can you find something like that? In the Melchtal!

Very friendly staff. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and served with matching sauces. I really like the atmosphere in this modern-rustic style.

Super hospitable, clean resort with high quality amenities. We were warmly welcomed, had a great room, were able to let off steam with the sports report, take a sauna and have a delicious dinner in the evening. We'd love to come back!

I ordered the Stierpfändli based on the recommendation and was thrilled. The homemade sauces are amazing!!! Service very friendly and accommodating. Children didn't want to leave anymore because they were so excited about the huge play paradise. We'd love to come back!!!
