Extremely rude and arrogant waiters, very long waiting time. Food is below overage, too over-salted and stinky. The prices are higher than in other places. The only good thing is view, everything else totally off. Never again!!

I have never experienced such bad and arrogant service. That a waitress (the one with short red hair) tells me “DEPARTURE”? Hello ? Food was also poor, and we had to wait another 15 minutes before we could steal anything. NEVER AGAIN !!!!

The one lady from the service reminds me of my sergeant major from my time in the army. Not a good idea for the Kasernen Hof, especially not for a Swiss restaurant. Wrong staffing in service. Harsh, rude, sometimes snotty and cheeky.

In recent years, Sternen has been a good place to stop. But today's visit was also the last. The waitress who served us was as incredibly unfriendly, snotty and cheeky as I have ever experienced. I don't need this a second time.

Mediocre service, overpriced (bratwurst fries 20.50chf). Half portion -2chf, extra plate costs extra. Tap water also expensive.

Service depends heavily on who is helping you. One was the best, the other very unfriendly. The goulashsoup was small with very little bread. Come on, "Ruchbrot" is the cheapest bread there is. Worse, the soup had zero, and I mean ZERO meat in it. Although quite sloppy from the kitchen, things can happen and it just depends on how they may turn a remark from a customer into something good. However, when politely addressing this, the unfriendly waitress had also ZERO interest, listened, looked annoyed, walked away without a word and nothing happened. I usually go to one or two other restaurants in the area and wanted to try this one. Clearly I will not return and staz with the other places.

There were no people because the weather wasn't that nice. In the morning we wanted to eat goulash soup and it wasn't possible because everyone was sitting together during the break. We wanted to order food again at 3:15 p.m. The kitchen was closed but all 4 employees were eating! Employees unmotivated (there has been a paper cup at the entrance since morning...!) IT'S A PATH FOR THE AMBIENCE

Very slow service even though the restaurant was almost empty. We had to ask several times about ordering before anyone even came, even if there was more than 10 minutes in between. After that, however, the drinks came quickly.

The food is not brought together. There were two of us and the goulash soup had already been eaten when the house rösti was served. The goulash soup was fine and well seasoned, and only half a piece of bread was served with it, so reordering is inevitable. That doesn't help to save stressful work either. The house rösti is not recommended, it was dry and tasteless. Pictures from earlier show fried bacon, today there were a few tiny cubes in it. The Rösti also lacks bread, which would certainly be appropriate for the fried egg on top. My impression is that something has changed in the stars. Today's visit just doesn't match my previous experiences.

Very nice hut. Unfortunately the entrance is not well marked. The terrace was closed due to the recent start of the season. They should change the concept from service to “barrel street” it is very hectic and like 10 minutes were ignored. 14 CHF for a hot chocolate and one with rum is also a little expensive...

I have only good things about Sternen Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its charming traditional decor. In view of the current shortage of skilled workers, which not only affects the Sternen but also other catering establishments, a waiting time of almost 30 minutes for the food is of course annoying, but also understandable and acceptable for us. As we all know, we call into the forest... The staff was consistently friendly to us. The food itself is also good and the quantity is absolutely acceptable for the price. The view from the terrace is of course great when the weather is right!

Super friendly service, 1 franc for 1dl of tap water with the explanation that it is very expensive up there is incomprehensible, especially when you pay 12.60 for 1.5 liters of ice tea and 15 francs for the same amount of tap water - that's not possible! Ketchup is also charged extra, but at a different rate of 50 centimes. The tap water does not have to be free, but within a reasonable range.

The price is okay, but in return you get tasteless, greasy food, the worst Rösti in Switzerland and the menu salad only comes after the meal, as long as the right number comes after you ask several times. There is no take-away box and no effort is made to help out. Not recommendable!

Addendum: 2/26/22. A group of young men were smoking inside. The boss/innkeeper took shots with the boys and, when asked by a guest to direct the smokers outside, pointed to the guest in front of people in the restaurant and cheekily replied that they could open the window and that he had already told them so , but it doesn't help. I've never seen anything so disrespectful in a restaurant. What year are we living in? It had many families with children. Allowing smoking in a restaurant is absolutely the last thing you want to do. The servants were also not happy with the boss's behavior. Voila. I'll never go there again.

Unpleasant service! The gentleman didn't even speak German and when asked what was gluten-free, he said, annoyed, only spaghetti and salad. So not only unfriendly, but also incompetent.

Great ambience and beautiful views into the distance. Extensive offering at fair prices. Really good food at such a height. This has been our top restaurant in Hoch-Ybrig for years. Bravo, please keep it up.

View fantastic. But this is not a service provided by the mountain restaurant. After asking and waving several times for the waitress, we can finally order. We order 1 coffee Schümli Pflümli, 1 coffee crème, 1 Rivella, a plum tart and a liter of tap water. We took it for granted that they would charge around CHF 3-4 for tap water. But Fr. 8.00 is already usury. The bill even showed CHF 9.80. So not even typed correctly. Conclusion: Unfriendly and incompetent rip-off. We will definitely avoid the Sternen mountain restaurant in the future.

A beautiful wooden building that fits perfectly into the mountains. The restaurant has a great location, with a great view. The disadvantage is that in December and January the sun only barely shines on the terrace. Very friendly staff. The Älplermagaroni with potatoes are very delicious. Costs 20.- are okay.

Absolute impudence: tap water costs 80 centimes per dl and if you ask for bread it costs extra, except for soups and salad! Nice restaurant. Pleasant to sit inside and on the terrace. We were here in the low season and were able to experience pleasant service due to the low number of guests.

Really good food especially for a restaurant on the pick of a ski slope. I really enjoyed the pumpkin soup in the bread dough.

Good atmosphere due to many exhibits from the 2018 Olympics. The service was a bit unmotivated and the portions were not particularly large.

Even when there was a lot of people, the service was extremely friendly and the waiting time was very satisfactory. The menu is typical of a mountain restaurant and still offers some selection. And the food was good.
