The staff is very courteous and committed. They are very attentive. The food was delicious and the portion size was absolutely worth the money. We went home very satisfied. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated.

This rural restaurant with a cowboy theme is said to have received 667 mostly very positive reviews??? Yes, but hardly from real visitors who have sat here themselves. My 2 stars are for the burger. It was barely edible. However, without sauce, sophistication and passion.

Fantastic location, beautiful view of Lake Zürich. The restaurant has several environments with typical American pub decor. Very well decorated. The food options in styles from several different regions of the USA are very well served.

We had an excellent meal. The meat was so tender, just heavenly good. The fries were also really good. Two sauces and herb butter rounded off the culinary delight. The beautiful view of Lake Zurich left nothing to be desired. The children's hamburger was juicy, with various ingredients to fill yourself... the child was perfectly happy and full. Top service! Very attentive and friendly. We would be happy to come back.

Great food! I could eat there every week!!! As one of the biggest food lovers, I def. A piece of heart left! The ambience alone is brilliant, but the way the talented lady and her additional chef cooked our food... amazing! One could now point out that the only thing that wasn't typical was the coleslaw, as it was served with curry and spiciness. The cocktails were also on top!! (If necessary, you can get the best "grandma's coleslaw" recipe from me in Kentucky style) ;)

A really cozy location with great service and delicious cuisine. The ambience continues seamlessly inside after the external appearance. Every time you visit you find something new that you haven't seen before. The staff is courteous and knows what good service means. The kitchen prepares food not only beautifully but also really tasty. Even with steak, the desired cooking point is achieved perfectly.

We went to the restaurant for dinner for the first time today. Previously I was a bit skeptical because of some negative Google reviews about the service. However, the service staff was very courteous, well-positioned, friendly and quick. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was unique and clean. This was definitely not our last visit.

Cool totally American location. The view of Lake Zurich is magnificent. In the restaurant you feel like you have been transported to the USA. The menu is manageable - the food is typically American. I had 3 steaks on a hot stone - it was very tasty.

Went to Sunshine Hill as a couple. View: great. The starters (onion rings and chicken wings) were ok. However, everything that followed was questionable at best and only the reaction of the managing director(?) could top that. For the main course 1x Caesars Salad and 1x Ranger Pork T-Bone. I probably would have done a better job with the salad myself (I'm not a cook). The quantity definitely doesn't justify the price (especially not in a supposedly "US" restaurant) and the bacon in the salad wasn't edible. The T-bone was served on a hot stone and had already become far too dry when it arrived at the table. The beans (as a side dish) were not fully cooked and tasted like they were “straight from the can”. After 3 bites of the meat and beans I had to admit that I didn't want to eat this. Food returned to the kitchen with appropriate feedback (always friendly). The manager(?) came after a good 15 minutes and tried to explain to me that pork had to be like that and that the outside temperature was to blame for it being so dry. He also brought over a few raw beans to prove to me that they weren't canned beans... well meaning, but it didn't change the taste or condition of the beans on my plate. They then tried to convince us to have the same dish again. At this point, however, I had lost my appetite and, thanks to the supposedly friendly treatment of the manager, I had also lost the desire to discuss it further. If a guest doesn't like the food, you can simply accept this and not obsessively try to explain why the guest is wrong. It's a shame - the bill was paid in full and certainly not a second time!

Great view and great ambience, the service could be more accommodating but otherwise we would recommend stopping in and eating something.

Unfortunately very disappointed with the service. There were tables who ordered after us but got their food before us. Our order for dessert was forgotten. Because they don't write it down! 30 minutes later I complained, but you can see they don't care. It's better to hire one or two waitresses instead of letting the two of them run around! But here you can see that savings are being made at the expense of the customers. Overall it was a bad experience.

Warm summer day so garden seating. Nice view of Lake Zurich, well shaded. We order dinner from a large selection of American delicacies. Baked nachos as a starter and a burger that you can choose the size of. There is an additional charge for supplements but the price is still okay. Fast service so there's almost nothing to say. What I missed for an American food restaurant is music. New Country music would be a great fit, it wouldn't have to be loud, just enough to be able to eat and talk. We will be back. Greetings D. We were there on September 3rd. There towards evening. We ordered two American Dreams Cocktails. The main waiter was very rude and didn't even feel like working. He didn't even give us a receipt and rounded up the amount himself. And keep the 1-2 francs. The cocktails were horribly prepared without any love. There wasn't even any fruit on the glass. There wasn't even any fresh fruit in it. Only such cheap concentrates, let alone no trace of RUM. We would be really happy to receive an answer to this catastrophe and impudence

The stay was miserable. Service - some students who have no idea about gastronomy. Boss - Cheeky, impeccable and incapable of criticism. Food - Could be done better at home. Conclusion: never again

The food was initially served incorrectly, i.e. I ordered vegetarian, but the dish was served with meat. There were four of us and none of us really enjoyed the food. The wait was long and the service was poor. We then asked the boss and he came across as arrogant, incapable of criticism and didn't give us the opportunity to express ourselves. In the middle of the "conversation" he simply ran away from us. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. For this price it is definitely not worth entering the restaurant again.

Great....disappointing, the food is unreasonable for this price, service seems to have little to no gastronomic experience. Based on previous comments, the boss was extremely rude, and not just to us. We were also laughed at when we mentioned the topic of sustainability.

Saturday evening from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The terrace was practically fully booked. Courteous service, friendly staff with whom we had fun. The food: 2x hot stone (horse + lamb), 1x chef salad and 1x jambalaya came in no time and was super delicious - the jambalaya is highly recommended! Great view – a successful evening! We would be happy to come back.

The restaurant is in a great location with good parking and a very nice view of Lake Zurich. Unfortunately, it was by far the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant; - cheeky and arrogant boss - poorly trained staff - poor organization and restaurant management - the starter as well as the dish were ordered as a warm meal, but they were served to me cold. - very long waiting times for the drink (30 minutes or longer) and food (at least 1 hour). Because of this, several guests at our neighboring tables also left the restaurant. Actually, one star in my rating is still too many. I will not visit the restaurant again under this management.

Wanted to celebrate my birthday yesterday (as we always do in our family at Sunshine Hill). Six tables outside and one inside. One! one person for service and drinks distribution... Takes a really long time. With this service it is no longer worth a reference. Went to Männedorf for Chinese...

The food was really good. 250g bison with a baked potato and salad. The meat was excellent. The service, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. One person serves approximately 10 tables of 4 people or more.

In addition to American dishes, the restaurant also offers a fantastic view of Lake Zurich and the Rigi. This especially from the terrace. The menu includes various burgers as well as food Louisiana or New Mexico style. But also meat in the hot stone. So we decided on the “Little Boy” (lamb) and the Ranger Pork T-Bone Steak. The lamb was already medium rare; so that there was no need to go into the bucket anymore. That was a bit of a shame. The T-bone steak, however, was fine. The baked potato with quark, the crispy fries and the delicious sauces rounded the whole thing off. For dessert we had a small banana split and a Belgian waffle. Conclusion: A successful evening. When ordering, don't forget to order the meat rare or medium rare so that the "Hot Stone" experience can take place.

The starter plate was a bit meager for the price of 12.50 per person. The main course (burrito) tasted good and the portion was ok. Unfortunately, the boss probably had a cold every time he was around. As I walked past something further away, there was a wave of scents of “Vicks Vaporub”. Not subtle, no, as if he had bathed in medicine. A sneezing sound then came from the kitchen. I was happy that I had ordered something fried or gratinated. The scent combination between Vicks & food took some getting used to, although I didn't get used to it until the end. Apparently the restaurant is known for “meat on a hot stone”. In any case, some guests ordered this menu and after a while I could only see my colleague through thick fog. Apart from the smell. The window was not allowed to be opened, otherwise a guest would have caught a cold. We then took the coffee somewhere else. However, the view of the lake was great. I would only visit the restaurant again in the summer months when you can sit on the terrace. Then the cold season is over.

Nice spot right next to a shooting range and horse stables, and with a fantastic view to Lake Zürich and the mountains in the background. Traditional US style cuisine, and it is actually pretty tasty. I had a burger where the meat was somewhat uninteresting (3 stars) and my wife had self cooked austrich filet on hot stones (she gave that 5 stars). Average thus 4 stars :-)

We visited Sunshine Hill for dinner with a family friend with children. The service was slow and we had to keep asking until we could finally order. The waitress then brought my colleague the beer he had ordered and the colleague then wanted to order a glass of wine, whereupon the waitress rolled her eyes and was visibly annoyed. We were later reprimanded by the owner of the restaurant that the children were not allowed to climb the horse statue next to the children's playground, this was "irresponsible" and we were reminded of our parental duty... In our opinion, it was rather irresponsible that there were no (warning) signs attached to the horse that the horse was not allowed to be mounted. We left the table with mixed feelings. Kind of a shame.

Unfortunately we were "received" extremely unpleasantly by an employee. It is absolutely clear to us that with a closed company coming up in about 2 hours, there are many tasks to be completed. Nevertheless, guests should feel welcome, even if large amounts of consumption are not expected. Since we didn't eat, we can't rate it and give it three stars instead of one. Nevertheless, what we experienced will certainly not happen to us again in this house!!!

Great terrace ideal for August 1st. Service was great and with the rain we were able to get a good seat inside. Very loving and full care.
