Authentic sushi and other Japanese cuisine at a fair price and in a charming atmosphere.

I'm actually not a sushi fan, but my last order proved me wrong. fantastic sushi, gladly again.

I lived in the area for many years and came across this sushi restaurant by chance. I've been to many sushi restaurants in Switzerland, but none were as authentic as this one. It looks like Japan and it tastes like Japan too. I can only recommend this restaurant. The prices are very fair for Zurich and the sushi is excellent.

The food was very fine. Staff are very nice and helpful. Negative points are: the TV played strange videos the whole time and the music was very loud. Unpleasant and you had to pay immediately when ordering. Otherwise everything was very clean and fine! Keep coming back!

I was at Uramakiya in Zurich-Wiedikon some time ago. The food is delicious and the service is very warm. I only have positive things to say about this restaurant. I'd love to come back.

Great sushi for quite reasonable price

Most other reviews are excellent, so I had high expectations. Maybe we were unlucky and something went wrong tonight, but the rice in our sushi was warm and that pretty much ruined it for me.

Small but fine Japanese restaurant with a limited number of outdoor seats. Recommend making a reservation for lunch. Friendly service. In addition to the usual drinks, there is also ramune, cold green tea and juices. What I particularly like is the “Yuzu & Lemon” juice. Very good Nikuman 🤤 The Tantan Udon was also good, with a fair share of minced meat, side dishes and udon noodles. I especially like the fact that they offer the Tantan with udon instead of ramen 👍🏻 Can recommend the restaurant. Next visit is already planned 😎

Absolutely delicious!!! It was my first time here, and I was more than happy with the food, service and price. We mainly had sushi, but I am sure that the rest is also tasty. Most notably, they use very high quality fish, so it almost feels like it melts in your mouth. There is not much more I can say. It was so good I also got take out for the next day and will add URAMAKIYA to my list of regular stops.

Authentic japanese restaurant with good quality

One of our favourite places in this neighbourhood. Freshly prepared and authentic Japanese dishes. We always order prawn tempura with udon noodles and agedashi tofu.

Really good sushi, everything very fresh. The Nikuman was so tasty and flavoured. Everything was delivered still hot. Very happy with the experience!

This is a place I enjoy eating at when I had a long day and I feel too tired to cook. The staff is very kind and helpful and the food is delicious and prepared with care. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is like a small area restaurant, friendly, simple.

This was by far the best Sashimi and Nigiri Platter I've had so far outside of Japan. The vaeriety and the freshness of the seafood is is outstandingly good. The other dishes are authentic aswell and the staff is really warm and friendly. You have my complete recommendation

Super delicious food, nice little resti. But unfortunately there is a lot to do due to the many orders for delivery and as a guest you have to wait a bit long. Still manageable😊

Fantastic Japanese restaurant. I often eat here for lunch and everything is very authentic. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere is also very Japanese and you immediately feel at home. I personally recommend the karaage. Good karaage is an art and these are fantastic here.

Delicious food, but tuna+avocado sushi I ordered had twice as much avocado as tuna. My bf ordered tuna sushi and had as little tuna as me and more rice to make up for avocado 🫤 Great sushi rice though

I am trying to understand the hype. Is this the best sushi I had in Zurich? Yes! Is this the only sushi I had in Zurich! Also, yes! But not something more than 3 stars. Quality, price or maybe that I went there for lunch but it's not for me.

Delicious sushis. The rice is fluffly and tasty and there is just the right amount of it. The salmon sashimis were perfect, very high quality fish. The wasabi is also very nice. But most importantly, the two ladies working there I have met are so nice and friendly. I will definitely go again.

It’s the best Japanese restaurant in town. I’ts a must when you live here or stop by. Believe me or not, it’s even better than in Japan itself. The only little disadvantage is that you got to wait a bit longer than in other restaurants, but thats because i’ts prepared with fresh ingredients around the world. When you want to eat immediately you can preorder your wished meal…👍🏽

Small bistro with very tasty sushi

Great little sushi joint with lovely owners and reasonable prices. However, the waiting time is horrendous. I waited twice 40 minutes for a tiny box of 15 sushi.

Very good quality, very fresh and good value for money. Very friendly staff, I can only recommend it. Much better than the chains... The rice in particular is perfectly cooked.

We ordered two menus (Yuri and Sakura) as well as Takoyaki (octopus balls) for take-away, everything was absolutely delicious and very tasty! We also tried the sesame and matcha mochi, which were delicious as well. Besides, the staff was very nice and super friendly! It was our first time and since we leave nearby, we will come back regularly for sure :-) ありがとうございました!

Can definitely recommend this place. Best quality for its price in Zürich that I have tried. Fish is fresh and the taste is authentic.

This is one of the best sushi places in Zurich at this price point. The rice tastes on point, miso soup is not watered down or too salty. Everything tastes like it should (which is quite difficult to find here in this city). The owner is super friendly. This is my first time and definitely won’t be my last. Highly highly recommended!

Just happened upon this restaurant and I think it's the best sushi I've had in Zürich! An unassuming, humble little restaurant that has some really authentic sushi. Even just the miso soup was delicious 😋
