Susuru in Genève

Another delicious meal at Susuru, always welcoming, the boss takes great care of his customers! Local produce! Bright restaurant, everything is impeccable and makes you want to come back!!

No complaints. The setting is really very pleasant. Coming back from Japan, the dishes are the perfect mix between the West and Japan. And the managers of the place are very professional! Although a little expensive (welcome to Switzerland) without being shocking, it remains a good quality restaurant that I recommend!

As much as I wanted to like this place the food is not very good. If you have experience or an expectation of authentic Japanese ramen this is not the place for you.

Wasn't too impressed with the food here. Noodles looked and tasted like what you would get from a packet of instant noodles, which is surprising as you can see the chefs cooking. Eggs didn't seem to be as fresh as you would get from other places. It was harder and colder, like it had been stored in a fridge. At other ramen restaurants, the boiled egg is softer and much more warm, like it had been cooked at that instant. They also added ground black pepper to the soup, which personally i thought ruined it even more

Very good food! The suggestions are always good, very tasty surprises, I highly recommend them. The small problem is the vegetarian ramen which lacks a little flavor and whose tofu is a little spongy. The service is fast, attentive and pleasant.

Wanting to try a new ramen establishment, we chose Susuru and its super convenient online reservation. The welcome and service were attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and very pleasant although the “room” is a corridor. Regarding the dishes, I found the meat ravioli excellent, the vegetable ravioli lacked flavor. Same impression for the chicken shoyu which was good but nothing more. There is no taste pleasure or surprise, which is a shame. The noodles are fresh and very good. I regret that there are not more vegetables in this dish which remains basic. Nice surprise, however, for the breaded chicken which remains crispy in the broth. To finish this review, if you have to have an evening after this dinner, I suggest you change because the clothes absorb the atmosphere of the restaurant.

It was a delight, the starters were excellent and the dishes were well stocked. The atmosphere is simple, you can see the chefs cooking and there is also a bar where you can eat, really nice. It's a little tight, but honestly it's definitely worth it.

Susuru, which I had yesterday, exceeded my ramen restaurant expectations. The kind service and cosy environment made me feel like at ease. Susuru serves delicious, well-prepared ramen. I liked their traditional ramen. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the broth was substantial, and the toppings were fresh, well-chosen ingredients. Susuru's chefs are clearly proud of their work. Susuru's commitment to excellent ingredients sets it apart. Every bowl is made by hand, and every bite tastes fresh. The quantities were enormous, so I left the restaurant full and happy. The kind staff at Susuru made the experience even better. They responded quickly to my questions and offered ideas and menu clarifications. For ramen lovers, Susuru is a hidden gem. This restaurant will wow ramen lovers and newcomers combined. Anyone searching for great ramen ought to explore Susuru.

Usually the karaage are very good but here inedible, overcooked a real waste, the gyozas were excellent!!! What a terrible welcome at the Geneva Christmas market. The lady at reception should learn to smile “merry Christmas” all the same ;)

First time. The place is too “trendy”. Music too loud, space too narrow with winter coats, stool too small. Disappointing food. Ramen not amazing, bitter, broth too oily, even the egg was not good. Small portion. Very good service, pleasant and attentive people.

First time at Susuru. The space is very small. The service (by a young woman that evening) was really friendly. The gyozas are really good and the ramens (of the month, fried chicken, vegan, etc.) are a hit. Note, however, that personally I would have preferred that the vegan ramens were served without industrial meat substitutes but with a very generous portion of al dente vegetables (the broccoli was overcooked). Vegan “Tiramisu” (with black sesame) did not remind me of the sweetness and regressive creaminess of this dessert. Of course there were different layers (including an iced one) but that's all. After the disconcerting side (texture and taste) I enjoyed this dessert.

The dishes were well made but like the first time, I didn't really find the flavors of a ramen in Japan, it's more European style ramen... good but not the same! Prices quite high for the quantity and the place where we sit on stools and on the window sill.. I don't think I'll try a 3rd time..

Great restaurant! The ramen is delicious, fresh noodles made directly at home, well-seasoned broth, delicious. They have a large selection of alcohol, including Japanese and regional wines that I discovered at their place and which are worth the detour! The boss is very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant and intimate. Go there without hesitation!

Great place to have a ramen night in Geneva. The shoyu chashu is a must, the pork was perfectly crispy. Super concept of “Ramen ton chef” which brings dynamism to the menu. I’ll come back to try others food.

Amazing gyoza 🥟 Loved the vegan ramen but the other one missed a bit of taste. The yuzu mochi was from another planet: just amazing. I would definitely come back.

It's a little expensive for what it is, we wouldn't get up at night, the cocktails don't break a duck's three legs, 🦆quack-quack🦆, but it's rather nice and worth trying out. times at least.

Very disappointing place. I booked the restaurant for more than 5 ppl several days bfr and wasn’t told that each person need to have 1 main. We ordered 4 dishes to share and the male staff was unhappy that we ordered very little dishes. So, we ended up adding more dishes but the staff was still very happy (he forced us TWICE to order more dishes and kept on repeating that the restaurant was fully booked, when it wasn’t (picture attached showed the restaurant status after we finished)). This is a very unacceptable and disrespectful attitude. It was my mistake to not read more past reviews of the place. After the food arrived, we were very dissatisfied and disappointed with the taste as it is very sour and taste nothing like japanese ramen. We ordered the beef and pork ramen, chicken maze, and their tempura. All the ramen and maze tasted the same, nothing special at all. Store bought ramen would be better than this restaurant. Additionally, one of my guest accidentally bumped his knee on the edge of the sofa, the rude male stuff mentioned to him to not break the furniture when he should have said are you okay. My guest mentioned that he might break his knee (to play along) and the rude male staff again said unpleasant comment: “none of my business”. This totally ruined the ambience of our dinner time. WOULDN’T RECOMMEND TO COME TO THIS RESTAURANT AS THE STAFFS ARE NOT WELCOMING AND RUDE. FOOD TASTED NOTHING LIKE RAMEN AND ALL ARE THE SAME. trust me on this

We went there last night as a family, because we had Spanish cousins ​​visiting who really like Asian culture including ramen. As soon as I made the reservation over the phone, I felt like I was in the right place. The person had a pleasant voice and everything went well. When we arrived our table was ready and the drinks were taken immediately with a smile and a good recommendation for beer. The starters are excellent (I recommend the delicious shrimp). The dishes are exquisite, very well prepared and plentiful. We gave our cousin a gift and the waiters thought it was her birthday, spontaneously they arrived with a candle on a mochi (thank you a thousand times for the attention, it's a very appreciated gesture). In summary, top restaurant, impeccable service, the lady who took care of us was very attentive and always with a smile. The young man was also very professional. In summary, we will come back with great pleasure in view of the excellence of last night.

We come to Susuru regularly and we always come back with great pleasure! The quality of the starters, Ramens, broth and desserts is excellent, not to mention the choice of natural wines which accompany everything perfectly. We highly recommend this friendly and very welcoming restaurant! Special mention to the boss who was able to adapt the level of spices in our ramen according to our tastes.

We often come to Susuru and it is always a pleasure, feels like home with well chosen quality products and menus are always changing. The concept is great as well as the welcoming and the team ! I deeply recommend this place in Geneva, especially if you are a wine lover.

Superb welcome in this central restaurant. However, a little disappointed with the ramen. There is only a choice of broth, which is rather light. Too many toppings for my taste. I would have preferred a better quality broth, but the noodles were delicious.

The dishes are really delicious, the service very kind, however for me the portions are really too small, the dessert was particularly disappointing, 12.- for 3 microscopic slices of brioche and a mini scoop of ice cream, all just sweet without any real flavors and the music is deafening and not at all to my taste, difficult to ignore given the volume... too bad.

First time in my life. I paid for ramen over $30.00 here. Hoping that it must be good. It was mediocre. I should have bought a ramen package for $0.50 and cooked for myself and saved $29.50. I am giving two starts because of a good friendly waiter.

Magnificent dishes, prepared with care. In my opinion, the best ramen in the city, both for the noodles and the homemade broths. The setting is simple although a little small, it feels a little cramped. On the other hand, the terrace is very pleasant. Careful service!

Ramen broth is very sour and bitter, which makes the experience very unpleasant. Not good cocktails with raw egg taste. Good service. Conclusion: there are much better ramen in Geneva, I do not recommend this restaurant.

It's a decent but very sour noodle soup with high quality ingredients. Do not come here hoping for Ramen, which for this price I would expect, so only three stars. The service is friendly, but very hectic, as is the entire atmosphere in this place. I went during dinner time on a weekday.

Just westernized japanese noodles. I could have gone to the supermarket for the same thing - so yes, while it's okay food, it's nothing special.

Very good dining experience! We discovered this Japanese restaurant, and we enjoyed it. My girlfriend who doesn't eat a lot of meat was able to find what she was looking for. A wide choice of refined dishes at reasonable prices in Geneva. A very nice evening, thank you!!

What a breath of fresh air this restaurant is! Unfortunately very disappointed. I absolutely do not recommend the ramen with the wasabi broth… I like spicy food and especially wasabi but the broth was so strong that it was impossible for me to finish it. All this, added to an unpleasant smell in the restaurant. Enough to radically suppress your appetite. Plus, it's really overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't come back.

Quality ramen, actually here to remind you of the home of ramen. The gyoza with beef cooked in sauce like a bourguignon is stunning. It's a small place but the food is amazing.

Excellent restaurant, I recommend this address having been there several times. A warm welcome with pleasant and efficient service. Gourmet and copious ramen, the quality of the products is felt. With a great concept of “ramen your chef” which allows you to discover different flavors. I had a great time. It's a safe bet.

I returned for the first time in several years to this restaurant, of which I had excellent memories due to its simplicity but its great quality. This unfortunately gave way to the opposite extreme: ramen overloaded with sophisticated ingredients, but nothing particularly attracting attention... bland broth, disappointing meat, and a bunch of flavorless toppings. All for a very high price, in a musical atmosphere that prevents any discussion. The service, however, was with a smile. In short: there are better, cheaper ramen elsewhere!

I don’t advise going to this restaurant. 1. The staff were not nice to me and people at my table and were doing their job poorly, as well as speaking at elevated tone with me and my friend. We had to stay in the restaurant for 30 more minutes because they could not calculate our dinner and make us pay properly. They did refuse to give us a full bill to our table. So in order to pay one by one we had to go to the bar and recall them what exactly each of us did order. For my side, I did tell them what I wanted to pay and they did a mistake and made me pay wrong things. So when I proposed to cover the difference between the dish I took and the one I paid already, they asked me to “arrange with my friend”. After each of my friends paid, they forgot to calculate one ramen and it was a messy situation, because we could not figure out who’s ramen they did not bill. The cherry on the cake is that one member of stuff started to use a very unfriendly and elevated tone towards me, saying that he lost money because of us. Arguing his pint my telling that he lost money because one of our friends left the table, in front of all the restaurant. Big joke, because we were a table of 11 people. And all of us will not advise this place. 2. The ramen were looking pretty and cute, however they were not tasty. I have tried noodle to which I give 5/10 and beef ramen to which I give 4/10. 3. In the beginning they said that they are “offering” the kimchi, and of course we ended up paying for it. Good : 1. Pink gin cocktail was pretty and tasty. 9/10 2. The pink mochi was fairly tasty. 9/10 Overall : Unpleasant atmosphere created by stuff by creating a conflict from nowhere and really not such a tasty food.

I ordered spicy miso ramen. The specialty of this restaurant is the handmade noodles, so I had high expectations. The noodles were definitely delicious and there were a lot of toppings. The soup was a little thin, but it was spicy so it was good.

I find that the ramen was disappointing because the broth was bland, tasteless, without depth and was too liquid, without consistency. The topping had no taste. The only item that was good was the egg. Having tested several ramens, the price is too high for the quality offered. When I eat ramen, I expect a taste pleasure and comfort from the first spoon. This ramen doesn't offer that. Go your way.

Uninteresting cuisine, apart from the starters (kimchi, edamame). The broth has no taste (except the pepper used in large quantities), a poor quality egg, the meat not seasoned. 90CHF for two on the bill, including 2 umeshu liqueurs at 10CHF for an umeshu without depth, and an unpleasant service with an obvious incentive to consume paid drinks, in short, the absolute opposite of Japan. A money vibe in the restaurant! If you want a Japanese experience, go elsewhere.

It's been a long time since I came to eat at Susuru, at least 3-4 years. I had very good memories of it. However, this time, I was rather disappointed. The service was very good, and the waitress pleasant and professional. The starters (kimchi and kaarage) were quite good even if the chicken lacked crispiness and spices. The ramen, on the other hand, was quite disappointing. The broths were rather bland, lacking in taste and umami flavor. The cooking of the pork was particularly good, but once again, the seasoning was not present. Overall, it was not inedible, but rather ordinary. However, the marinated egg was excellent. Relatively mixed results, too bad! The icing on the cake: one of the cooks stared at me for several minutes, making me and my friend very uncomfortable.

Worst lunch ever. We were three. Waiters wanted to put us in a table for two. Why someone would pay the same as others and get half space of others?? When, we finished, waiter asked if we wanted a desert, coffee, we answered no, then she replied: "you 2-3min to leave, we must give your table to someone else!" Paying 30.- for a soupe with water, egg and 60g of meat and a drink? Total joke!! I understand, you need to get place as full as possible but this is not the swiss hospitality. If you are used to do it in France, this is not France. Switzerland is reputed for hospitality not for french greediness !

We've been there twice already. Fast service, we explain the dishes to you well. A little expensive but the quality of the ingredients is there. We tasted 4 kinds of ramen, all very good, and the Gyozas as a starter were delicious.

Quite a nice place. Karaage chicken was the nicest one so far in town for me. Dessert ice cream mochi was also great. Ramen had really tender chicken and pork. All 3 of us found the broth a bit too thin though and ramen was not hot enough. It might be a taste preference though, so give it a shot for sure.

Very friendly staff. But the ramen is not ramen. I tried the restaurant 2 years ago and was not impressed. I figured I’d give it another try. The pork ramen tasted like boiled water with a stock cube. My friend had the vegan ramen and it was a broth with lettuce and raw mushroom. Very bland. Not impressed especially for the price
