We were there last week and will be back soon! We each have 1 coffee and a salad and an Easter cake. I don't think it's okay that we had to pay an additional CHF 2 for the salad and that we were allowed to eat the salad in the cafe. (The salad was then dumped into a plate, that was in the service) After all, we drank coffee and ate Easter cakes and therefore occupied 2 seats anyway. It's the service, the staff explained to us. But we had to bring our snack and drinks to the table ourselves! The staff explained that we weren't allowed to eat the salad in the cafe if we didn't pay the Fr. 2.-. However, the Easter cake could be eaten with coffee without any extra charge. It's outrageously illogical and customer-unfriendly! We will enjoy our coffee somewhere else in the future!

Very cute little bakery, I like to go there after my shopping trip at the Coop, unfortunately there is a bit of noise during the renovation. Very nice, friendly service, you will receive a really warm welcome there if you have been there for a long time. Always happy to be with you.

Most of the customers are over 50 years old. This clientele prefers Coffee and cake at the table to be served. There's no thought of those behind the scenes. When I asked for someone to give me the plate and the coffee cup would bring to the table, I was left standing and you other people served. I went on at that time Crutches. I'm not going there anymore gone. The bread and sweets are good.

Unfortunately, self-service will continue even after the end of the Covid measures. The prices remain the same and you have to bring the food and drinks to the table yourself. I can't understand it, it's a shame. It has the charm of skiing in a piste bar somewhere, where you're guaranteed to get something. Not a decision from Sutter Begg that would let me continue to go to the cafe.

I recently visited Basel. Since we were traveling in Riehen, we went to Sutterbegg. I was very surprised, I felt very comfortable and how warmly I was served. And they took the time to serve us in a friendly manner.. really great, I can only recommend the nice staff and nice service :)

Great cafe with a cozy terrace. I particularly like that there is a roof and you can get some fresh air even in bad weather. Although there are constant staff changes, fortunately the extremely capable Ms. Bischoff and Ms. Althapofa are still there. Great branch management... they do a great job
