Discovered by chance during a professional lunch. The crispy beef is really EXCELLENT 🤩 I will happily come back to discover other dishes especially as the service was quick with a welcoming team.

Entered this restaurant seeing the ambience and Asian menu. Took a long time for waiter to notice and then we waited another 30min again after starters to be able to order our mains. Finally we got tired of waiting and left without having our mains. On the positive side ,good drinks especially Mangue groove

I've never eaten there, so I can't rate it. But I've been there several times to smoke shisha and drink cocktails. There's nothing wrong with it, just great. The staff is always friendly.

I really enjoyed this restaurant: excellent and very succulent food, fast service (even very fast), super friendly waiter Killian, instant payment… and above all next to the cinema. I will go back there!!!

The tasting plate was very good for 2 people and the drinks held true to themselves. We had a good time on the outdoor terrace in the shape of a small chalet with heated mushrooms. Great for a moment with friends.

Interesting lounge bar. The tasting dish was great and my cocktail was super good. The menu is well stocked and offers a wide variety of choices. The service was very good but seeing as I visited on a Saturday evening it was crowded and a bit of a wait. The only real drawback: the prices are a little high in my opinion. But in the end, I recommend it for lovers of Asian cuisine and cocktails.

Extremely slow service. It took a waiter about 10 minutes to take our orders after we sat down and then we waited over 20 minutes for three hot drinks and two portions of finger food after which we gave up, cancelled our order, and left. Hardly anyone customers this afternoon either.

Makeshift dinner in a completely closed Lausanne on New Year's Day. The menu is unusual: it mixes dishes from different origins but nothing particularly inspires. The "Persian" hamburger with veal and lamb is good. Discreet service: when we ordered a table water, they wanted to charge us for bottled water (2.50 CHF vs 6 CHF) probably due to the fact that we didn't understand English at the time of the order.

Food was super tasty and the service was fast! 👏 We got 3 side dishes and 3 different types of ramen🍜 and we enjoyed everything. 😋 Will definitely return to this place! 😃

Delicious food, sometimes long service. Relatively high prices.

The burger, fries and homemade sauce were superb! I recommend 😊! We sat on the terrace with the warmth and the blankets, it was great. But the music was horribly loud between 83 and 86 decibels and that ruined 70% of my experience because we had to shout to talk to each other and I was afraid all along that it would damage my ears, in short, too bad for that part.

We came here for drinks. Thank God we didn't have dinner as the service was excruciatingly long and this was a Thursday night. It took them about 20 minutes to serve us 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water. 😒 The guy who served us wasn't very pleasant either and gave me an attitude when asked if we could pay by card. I give a star only for the heated terrace.

The portions are too small for the asking price, and the taste is really not exceptional, especially for the cakes which seem to be bought ready, unfortunately not prepared on site. The cream is rather bitter (date not valid or opened a few days ago), I also advise against the ice cream which lacks flavor. Additionally, I noticed that the use-by date had already passed. Significant improvements are needed to make this experience more satisfying.

I was here having dinner with some friends. The food is not bad, but they could still improve it in terms of the presentation of the dishes and the quality of the food. The staff was friendly, and helpful. But I have to say that the waiting time to receive the food was very long. The normal environment, groups of young people, family, all kinds. There were 2 of us and we arrived to eat around 11:30 a.m. today. Apart from a gentleman already present, we were the first customers. The restaurant was still empty at that time. We see other customers arriving and being served. We were therefore very surprised when the waiter came to tell us that the ticket had not been issued. I did not find it at all professional to come and announce his incompetence. On the other hand, he had time to chat with this gentleman who was already there a little earlier. He mostly forgot our order and bullshit us. Telling us that it comes out in 2 minutes when we've already been waiting for 1 hour for entries, I don't believe it! I had been coming to Tao regularly for 7 years and I noticed a big drop in quality in terms of service. This bad experience no longer gives me the desire to go back and even less to introduce it to new customers as I have done over the last few years.

Great place in Fion area for drinks and bar food, They have also main courses but having tried them have to be honest that they are not up to standards of what we expected. The staffs are friendly and very nice indeed. The main courses need to be improved both in terms of taste as well as presentation. The atmosphere is perfect for sitting drinking and talking in groups.

The quality of the Tao varies greatly. The mussels this lunch were edible but overcooked and above all tiny! Tasteless wine. Correct service but nothing more. The waiter looked upset.

Excellent eaten once at lunchtime in 2021 it was great waitress. Then in the evening on Sunday September 10, 2023. Friendly server. Lots of choice on the menu. Plus an estimated time for preparation. It was a treat, I highly recommend. Reasonable price for the Flon district. Looking forward to going back there soon 😊 and the dessert, the coconut panacotta, a real killer, a coulis slightly reminiscent of melon and a base of coconut cream yum yum 😍😋 and then the waiter (I had the impression that it was the manager) very very patient. 4 out of 5 because I'm waiting to see the progress next time 😊

Wanted to have lunch with hubby & one of our daughter. We saw the menu (wanted to have meat) and dinner was opened as from 19h on the lovely terrace. We ordered drinks (had to wait to get the drinks menu) and upon receiving the food menu we were informed (!) That kitchen wasn't open till 7.30 and we had to check the tapas menu! There was just a couple things but we saw the tartare which we would have ordered but we were kindly informed that the tartare was a no-no and same for the jalapeño... but we could have a vegan??? Dish ??? We left 'cos we wanted MEAT!!! And please be aware that on the ground floor it was written on a cardboard "dinner as from 19h" which was great as we planned to see a movie... So disappointed! We went to Tartares & co just a bit further (terrace not so nice but lovely service and LOTS of meat and very fast <3).

Very nice and well located place with pleasant service. But the dish received is below all. I ordered a chicken panang curry. I receive waterlogged and tasteless rice and a curry without any interest in terms of taste. Just a little spice but that's it. too bad because the portion was very correct.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Tao, and I have to say that my experience was exceptional in every way! The food menu was varied, offering a wide range of options to suit all tastes, and the quality of the food was simply delicious. Every dish we ordered was prepared with care and refinement, and the flavors were simply exceptional. As for drinks, the bar didn't disappoint either. The cocktails were creative and well balanced. Grumpy and rude waiter, inexperienced and without a hint of kindness.

I went on Saturday and was forced to wait 15 minutes before being able to order, despite the lack of staff on duty. I asked for a shot of tequila and the gentleman in the suit brought my order, but completely forgot the salt. When I asked him, he finally placed the jar of salt on my table abruptly and rudely. Completely unprofessional behavior in my opinion.

Perfect location in the middle of the Flon esplanade. The service is quite fast but lacks a little smile and friendliness. The food is quite good and served in quantity given the fairly high price of the dishes. I recommend this establishment!

Nice, very busy bar. Very good cocktails. However, the service is outdated although there are many of them. ..... returned a month later, and clear improvement in service despite the high traffic.

High price and super slow service

Friendly atmosphere in the center of Lausanne. Entrance pretty good. We had the Naan and hummus, spring rolls and dumplings. The mango lemonade was very good but the passion fruit one was too sweet. The crispy beef was ok.

We sat down by chance to eat. What a mistake ! We took the Persian burger which only has the name. For all burger lovers to avoid. Bread dry as cardboard, the steak burnt, tasteless. As for the atmosphere I can't comment because it was at midday. in short, a disaster. Thank you for your reply. We informed the waiter about it but he didn't take further note of it.

Just a shame about hookah smokers when eating. Another good cuisine, pleasant and friendly place. Outgoing and super friendly person.

It's quite luxury, quiet and pleasant. The dishes are really good but a little expensive, in fact it suits the type of place it is. Not necessarily suitable for young people in terms of price but if you don't care then I recommend.

Right in the center of the Flon district, after booking, we were cordially received, the service was impeccable and so was the meal. A big thank you to the person who took care of us.

I go there often, but always the same feeling. Poorly organized, we wait 30 minutes for our order to be taken, for the (unpleasant) waiter to arrive, to then wait another 20 minutes to receive our order (for a coke and a spritz) And I’m not even talking about paying for what you’ve consumed… In short, I advise against it, there are plenty of other bars where, at a minimum of customer awareness, there will be…

Waited 1 hour for service for nonchalant waiters who made mistakes 3 times while serving us, I strongly advise against it. Best time to wait 30 minutes at the line in Istanbul.

Expensive for what it is, deplorable service, unpleasant waiter. We consume several rounds and ask if possible to go out to smoke a cigarette and to keep the table for us, he tells us yes but that he has to cash us in a derogatory way saying that he had another table which left without paying. We pay, come back and our table has been taken. The waiter says it's not his problem. We complain to the staff, they tell us: “It’s normal, it’s Christophe.”

I have just discovered this Asian restaurant in the Flon district of Lausanne and I am impressed by the quality of the cuisine. The Asian specialties are absolutely delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes offered. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere is perfect for a dinner with family or friends. There are plenty of places but on summer evenings it is crowded. Sticking to Istanbul, it's a little difficult to tell the difference between the 2.

The food is delicious. The space is large and without much clutter. The staff providing services are very friendly and attentive. Service is moderately fast. Prices are high and very much in line with those practiced throughout most of Switzerland. Definitely good but expensive.

Bad service, Overrated/increased price for the World Cup

I tried one of their chicken soup this evening and the taste of the poultry was really very pronounced. So I left all my meat aside, I mentioned it to the waitress (telling her that I felt reheated) but no questioning from them. A bit of a shame for this place which seems so popular...

More than deplorable service, unpleasant and insolent waiter, apart from a saleswoman who was very pleasant to us. No professionalism. I think I was very courteous and polite yet I received no respect from them.

Mixed feelings, the restaurant is kinda OK-ish by lack of a better option in the direct vicinity after 09:30 PM. Atrocious auto tuned french rap doesn’t sit well with the asian inspired atmosphere. Staff was friendly, unfortunately food was nothing to write home about. You can safely forego the bland and overpriced appetiser plate. Good potential but the kitchen has to seriously upgrade its game, there’s only so far location and friendliness can get you when you’re in the business of feeding people :) Sorry but I probably wouldn’t return.

A friendly and not too expensive restaurant with rather good dishes. On the other hand, the Christmas tea which cost much more with the "rum" option without being clearly indicated in the menu card was a bit of a lie, it's a bit Shame . . It remains a good experience but not sure to return.
