Very tasty fresh baked goods, it was worth it!

We had a light lunch one day and coffee with spectacular meringues and whipped cream another day. The meringue portions are big, so it's better to share.

Went there spontaneously at lunchtime to get something to eat. The waitress gave the impression that the customer was threatening to work. The facility is getting old, but still good. The food itself was good and tasted good.

No matter what baked goods I buy there, they NEVER taste fresh and always like the cheapest industrial goods! It's about time a competitor opened!

Best vermicelle and the best meringues I know

Don't go there on Mondays because everything was sold out over the weekend, no more tatzelworms... but the ice cream sundae was great... The Sherlock Holmes ice cream sundae was also amazing...luckily I don't live here, otherwise I would have a problem...

For us, the Hasli and the Tatzelwurm belong together. We never miss this specialty and can recommend it to everyone. Even shipping the Tatzelwurm within Switzerland has worked out very well for us twice. Thank you very much, we will definitely come back.

Really nice place to go for an excellent meringue. Been here a couple of times now and would definitely recommend. They do other cakes too.

Coffee opening times are misleading. Although it is open until 6 p.m., you cannot order anything warm or desserts after 5 p.m. Otherwise very tasty meringues.

We came here early in the morning for a café drink. The cafe was good and the croissants as well. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere and the service is very friendly.

Store ok, nice and friendly service. However, the café is exactly the opposite, very rude service, long waiting time, dirty glasses and cutlery, prices too high!

We had our wedding cake (chocolate cake) made here as well as two cakes. Steph was unique, took the time to discuss our wishes with us and designed the cake individually. The cake was unique in taste and appearance and was not only admired by us. Communication was great, reliable delivery to the wedding location. Thank you!

When traveling in Meiringen, FRUTAL is a must. Merinques with cream and ice cream are simply great, and first of all the Schaffhauser Züngli, simply a dream.

I made a special stop in Meiringen on my 4-pass trip to stop by the Frutal bakery. There I bought the 9 types of special meringue. Not cheap, but super nice 😋. If you want to park in the shade, you can do so just around the corner in the underground car park under the casino square.

Huge selection of fine meringues and other baked goods. A shop to give gladly. Very nice saleswoman. If you're ever in Meiringen again, you'll definitely shop there again.

Flies everywhere in the “Tea Room”. Flies on the bread, flies on the salad, even on the Hawaiian toast. Flies on the table. I look around: both doors wide open, absolutely no fly protection. Comment from the otherwise very friendly waitress: "That's just the way it is here..." Our comment: There is a need for action here and unfortunately only one star from us. Because: So many flies are absolutely unhygienic.

Too expensive and lacking variety (only for tourists) not recommended!

Very friendly, the bread and patisserie is very good.

Not only the largest, but probably the best meringues in the world are served and sold here. The tete-a-tete in the cafe is a MUST. Anyone who buys meringues in the store as a gift gets a 50% discount on one box per family, and with the guest card.

We liked it so much that we came here twice in quick succession. Both times we enjoyed an espresso and one of the meringue creations with ice cream. Super delicious! Both times we were served very quickly and in a very friendly manner. Update: we were here a third time. This time Coupe Tête-à-Tête. The hazelnut ice cream is amazing 🤩 🤤 Service was great again!

I have not yet found a better bakery in Switzerland.

Mmmh, I love the white japonaisli with powdered sugar on top. My sister swears by the Sherlock with whiskey and my brother-in-law swears by the classic Japonais. The pralines are also delicious.

The finest pastries. Friendly, chill service. In the restaurant there is a planted rock with water. Is a good place to recharge your batteries.

merengues Not just a sweet dish, it is a cultural asset in Switzerland, the beautifully light, white merengues from Steff Frutiger. He himself convinces with his charisma, he confidently explains how the little delicacy is made. sugar and protein, the two ingredients create a little surprise. with chocolate pieces or baileys and coffee. super delicious and tempting. I don't have to enjoy just one, no, two or even three merengues. The traditional bakery and patisserie not only produces these small tarts, pastries and bread are also produced in the associated bakery. It's worth driving past here and finding out more. and of course to go home with a big bag of meringues.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, highly recommended

While the place is clean and the food not bad, it is a very expensive place, even by Swiss standards. Nearly 90 f for 3 soups, a bircher musli and a few coffees.

Frutiger is synonymous with meringue! You will recognize it from the giant meringue that is displayed on the main street of Meiringen. The place to absolutely go for a snack. Meringues, ice creams, cakes and much more are available in this tea room with a slightly retro but very pleasant flavour. At the back there is a beautiful garden with outdoor tables and a small playground for children. Then go to the pastry shop that communicates with the tea room to get some meringue to take away.

Haslichueche and Tatzelwurm and other delicacies are very tasty!

The pumpkin seed bread is sensational, it was served for breakfast at the Hotel Wetterhorn in Hasliberg, so I just went to buy it here in Meiringen.

I enjoyed a sensational Merenque Glacé Mini and a cappuccino. 😋

Very rude staff, refused to serve us 45 minutes before they closed, because it was too close to closing time. If that's the case, then they should change the closing time. They had meringues and desserts ready already. The waitress almost looked annoyed with us! I think her face would crack if she tried to smile, and perhaps there was a hint of racism? when we asked if we could order, she suddenly got angry and looked like she was chewing a live wasp. We left. Surely in Covid-recovery periods, the tourism industry in such a nice town, full of nice people, should treat guests better!
