I've been to Thai Lanna for dinner several times. Never been disappointed. Food is good and service is friendly.

My husband and I went here for dinner over the weekend while we were visiting Lucerne. The food was great, however I could not say the same about the service. We were seated behind a plant and had to wait quite a while to get seated, get menus, and then again to place our order. While we were there we also felt racially discriminated against, and truly should have gotten up and left. When I asked the owner if the chicken was halal, he laughed and said that it was not and that it was the "finest swiss chicken" as if halal chicken is poor quality. We were the only two people of color and also felt that the people in the restaurant were staring at us. Food was good, but would not return here.

I was at the restaurant early and the service was very friendly. Absolutely no problem as a single guest. Reservations are recommended after 6 p.m. I liked it and felt comfortable. The food is tasty and a good portion.

food is super delicious with fair price, usually 20~30chf per person with good portions. recommend the beef noodles soup. service is good, and the boss likes to chat with us and also explain the menu very clearly. overall is good, just the place a little too crowded

Super pad thai and fantastic dumplings and chicken skewers accompanied by coconut sauce and peanuts. The place is welcoming and the chef is Thai. Prices are average for the area and therefore high (CHF 96.5 for two starters, two main courses and two beers).

A wonderful experience both for the magnificent Thai food and for the friendly and fast staff. We will definitely return. Thank you very much for a perfect dinner.

We had an incredible meal! The massaman curry was some of the best I’ve ever had and my friend said the same about her pad Thai. The curry was so flavorful, and full of a variety of veggies that were sliced in delightful ways and cooked to the perfect texture. The presentation was beautiful! The tea was also delicious and the service day fantastic. I’m looking forward to visiting Lucerne again so I can eat at Kai Lanna again!

Best Thai food in town. The food was tasty and the owner was very helpful with the choices and portion sizes. We wanted vegetarian food and without fish sauce. He was very understanding and helped us out with the options. The green curry and the papaya salad was the best I have had anywhere, spice levels were customized. We ordered papaya salad, spring rolls, green curry, red curry, yellow curry and pad Thai. He even made a kid sized portion on request.

We had a nice evening with tasty food. Duck was superb, soup spicy to my taste (probably not spicy enough to Thai people). Only disappointing point was the coffee at the end (probably freeze-dried coffee). Service was welcoming and warm

The light, modern background music in the restaurant invites you to linger. I read in the reviews that the Thai Pad was perfect - and I absolutely agree! The service had a lot of work to do, but was still prompt and very friendly. Definitely coming back.

We visited the place as family and food was hit and miss. We ordered 4 items and liked only 2. Tom yum soup did not have tanginess of tamarind and Pad Si Iu had no flavor despite asking for Thai spicy 🔥. Penang curry and the spiciest chicken dish on Menu was good. Service was good in general but our server pushed for more food and tracked us into ordering more than we could eat. In general, we had a mixed bag feeling.

We really enjoyed the restaurant. Very helpful service. Starters were yummy chicken satay and deep-fried dumplings. The dumplings were perfectly crispy and not at all oily. The chicken was moist and succulent. For mains we had chicken Pad thai whichbwas ok but the prawn panang was delicious. Thanks for looking after us.

In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right here. The service professional (not the young Asian guy) didn't have a good customer focus. Profit was important to him. He seemed very stressed. It took a very long time until the main course was served.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my visit to Thai Lanna: - It takes a very long time to get assigned a table (even with a reservation). - Although the place was only half full, it took forever for the order to be taken and for the food to be served - The two waiters were very overloaded. The young Asian guy was friendly but the old Swiss seemed rushed, inattentive and unsympathetic. - Taste was ok but even the green curry, which has heat level "three out of three chillis", is about as spicy as a glass of milk. - I had to order our drinks three times until it finally came - The prices are absolutely not justified (100+ CHF for 2 startes, 2 soft drinks and 2 standard main courses)

Food taste amazing and service was great even sometimes it takes a bit long to wait if you go on a busy day when the the table in the restaurant is full. Be patient you will satisfy with the food.

Not good service. No one seated us to our seats until we walked to the kitchen. Took nearly an hour for them to come take our order and took even longer to finish the food. We had 4 people at our table, ordered 4 water but only got 2. Had to ask them a total of 3 times before we were able to get our water.

Wir waren nun zweimal dort, einmal draussen an der Bruchstrasse, gestern Abend (20.09.2020) drinnen.Speisekarte gross, hat für jeden etwas, von Poulet mit Spezialhaussauce bis scharfe Speisen.Draussen Ambiente gut (trotz Strasse) und innen auch.Essen TOP, Preis/Leistung stimmig, Freundlich.Kleiner Mangelpunkt gestern, Essen kam nicht gleichzeitig auf Tisch, Küche gestern etwas im Rückstand.Aber der Rest war TOP.Gerne wieder.
