We ordered a 1920s style cake. The cake was made and delivered exactly as requested. A true work of art and also super fine (we had a different filling for each floor). My husband and I were extremely satisfied with the work of The Art of Cake team.

They are making art but why did I have to go all the way there just to learn their basic cake price is 400chf. I spent 1.5 hours biking, got sun burnt, and had dangers of being hit by trucks, because they refuse to say *any* price on private messaging (instagram). I spent two minutes in the shop and left. Thanks!

Very frustrating: The cakes are actually great, and they also have their price (which is ok). However, when ordering something in this price range, I would expect minimal interest in completing it successfully. I ordered a cake from the cake shop for an event just around the corner and paid for everything in advance and informed the staff “I’ll be right around the corner”. I had technical problems preparing for the event on Saturday, was stressed and therefore lost track of time. The shop closes at 4 p.m. I was twenty minutes late. The shop was closed and no one answered the phone. I called 3 times, spoke to voicemail, wrote text messages, and was there. Everything is dark, nobody there. No cake. Since the event was over, it was of no use to me to get the cake on Monday when he called me back. Claims on the phone that someone was there until 5 p.m. There was no rapping in return. Super frustrating. If I had gotten a phone 5 minutes before closing time I would have been there on time. I don't understand why people don't take this minute. It's a shame about the work, it's a pity about the cake (it would have been nice and has probably now been thrown away) and it's a pity about the money. Something like that is too bad to want to repeat again.

Lucas and his team made a beautiful cake for my husband’s 40th birthday. Not only was the design absolutely spot-on but the cake itself was delicious. In our case we had a passionfruit flavoured sponge. I’d highly recommend The Art of Cake, and will use them again.

SCAM!! No real ratings - Super overpriced and bad service. Paid 450 for a cake that wasn’t even what I’ve ordered. They ask you to show up in person to make an offer! That’s already super fishy.. no transparency on prices whatsoever and after all super dry and tasteless. Definitely a SCAM!

Of course, here's a quick review: Unfortunately, my birthday cake order was not satisfactory. The desired filling for an additional 30 CHF was missing, despite my complaint there has been no response or refund. The quality doesn't justify the high price. Disappointing experience.

Poor customer service - cake was not the design that I ordered. When addressing this - the man working there basically challenged this / didn't seem to take me very seriously and then said he will check the CCTV footage! If I am correct, he will get back to me. I never heard back from him (didn't surprise me at all based on his reaction in the store) which I would expect either way, particularly as a repeat customer and the price of the cakes. Additionally, I had to listen to the cheap comment of: I really don't want you to be unhappy, especially when you are pregnant. To which I informed him that being pregnant has nothing to do with my lack of satisfaction. I will not be going back for a third cake. If he had handled the situation differently / professionally he could have had a totally different outcome and created a loyal customer. Instead he took the short term view. It's a shame as the first cake we ordered was great / tasted good.

Excellent "anything is possible" attitude and service. Requested a "Moomin" cake, which is a beloved Scandinavian cartoon, for our daughter's first birthday. The Art of Cake created an artistic *masterpiece* from the photos we supplied and from their own research. Cannot emphasise enough how beautiful this cake was. The guests were all completely blown away. Incredible attention to detail - they had even simulated the middle of the bridge being worn by foot traffic over the years.
