The Balts in Thun

The waitress was very nice, seat us to the best place and suggested a nice and fresh drink with apples. Food was amazing! It’s the best place I’ve visited recently. It was even open for lunch after 1 pm when the most restaurants are closed.

Searched this place out on a rainy, cold and windy day and it was just what we needed. The heartiest food there is and incredibly tasty. The soups are Fantastic (!!!) and the cheese is great. You'll want to have a warm cuddly nap after this.

A very tasty and cozy restaurant of Lithuanian cuisine. I recommend trying the Kiev cutlet with mashed potatoes. The chef prepared it quickly and the waiters are very communicative and polite! We will definitely come again!

We had dinner at The Balts yesterday with our little daughter. We were served very warmly, the food was excellent (recommended by the kitchen), the service was super friendly and the treatment of our little one was very loving (big + child-friendly) We felt very comfortable and were super full and satisfied ❤️

We were in this cozy and authentic restaurant in Thun at the weekend. We were welcomed very nicely. The Baltic food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great! If you're not sure what to order, you can simply ask for a recommendation. It's definitely worth stopping by here. We'll definitely be back soon! See you next time.

First time for us in Thun and actually Switzerland. Picked this restaurant based on 4.9 marks in google map and it didn’t disappoint me. The restaurant provides with lithuanian cuisine. Delicious food and a very welcoming host, he is the chef as well as the waiter! (Btw, he is from Lithuania, that’s why the cuisine by him is just as if those in Lithuania.) Good recommendation! A must try in Thun.

The restaurant offers authentic dishes from Baltics. The schnitzel taste was extremely close to what l remember back in childhood. The service was very pleasant. The team is genuinely kind. The coffee was made just the way we prefer it.

We had an exceptionally great evening at The Balts. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, there is a lot of love and history in every detail. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and we immediately felt more than comfortable. We can only recommend the food and drinks. You just have to try it. Definitely come hungry!

Stopped in while visiting for a snack on a rainy day. We split the sampler appetizer. They were out of speck, and substituted with honey mustard spare ribs, which were amazing. Everything was phenomenal, including the smoked pig ears, which were probably the most adventurous dish we tried while in Switzerland. They also had a very interesting (and delicious) take on cheesy garlic bread. The restuarants has a very nice baltic pub vibe, while playing a mix between classic rock and doo-wap. Highly recommend.

We spontaneously went to The Balts for dinner and were warmly welcomed. The food was wonderful & the service was attentive and talked to us about the preparation of the dishes. The main course was too much, we were able to take it with us without any problems and were also given a recommendation to warm it up... Cuisine with pride, passion and passion - we look forward to the next visit to try out more of the menu!

I had a wonderful time at this place, enjoying the best Lithuanian dishes! The Cold Beetroot soup and Chicken Kiev were fantastic, and the Kibinas with chicken and mushrooms was simply the best ❤️. I've missed this food so much, and I'm glad I found a spot that serves it so well. 😊

Very tasty and authentic Baltic food, with a focus on Lithuanian specialties! The zeppelins are extremely tasty! :D Hopefully there will also be Latvian Rupjmaizes kārtojums as a dessert soon :P that would be my absolute highlight.

We stumbled onto this delicious Lithuanian food restaurant.The owner Sarunas prepared us the most scrumptious dishes. He was so very hospitable, it felt like home. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Very delicious cold beetroot soup, zeppelins and garlic bread. I was impressed by the quality and taste of the food. The beautiful Baltic interior decoration creates a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. What's particularly pleasing is the fact that you'll soon be offering more vegetarian options. Then I will also be able to show Lithuanian cuisine to the vegetarians in my circle of friends. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay at The Balts Restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The Balts has authentic, down-to-earth and very tasty food. You can clearly tell that everything was prepared with a lot of love. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and there is something to marvel at on every corner. You will be warmly welcomed by the owners and will be happy to help if you have any questions. I also loved her recommendation, it was very warm that afternoon: beetroot soup served cold!
