We ate at your place and the service was terrible. At first we barely had time to order. Afterwards our drinks were stirred on the table. At the end, while we were still eating, our plates were taken away! While eating! When paying the card was accepted and there was no thank you or anything after that. She just ran away. Otherwise we were very happy with the burgers but our experience was very negative. Very disappointing! Very hospitable.

The fries were really nice. However, in a burguer place, the burguer must be good (or at least how you like it...) I explicitly order that I would like the burguer RARE, how disappointing when the waiter comes with the burgers and she said, all are same done... and with done it was WELL DONE. For me this is a NoGo.

Have to join other reviewers who remember what Butcher used to be like. After a long time I wanted to eat a juicy, good burger again. I paid a whopping 42 Fr. for an average burger, a soft drink and fries with truffle sauce. The fries were already cold when they arrived. It was definitely not worth the money and then you still look in despite the complete lack of service as if you would like to get a tip. If you like being disappointed, you've come to the right place.

Dinner for two. Great service, friendly and very well cooked dishes highlighting the product. The veggie burger was exceptional. Recommended if you are passing through this pretty region.

You can put together the burger yourself, which I think is great. The burgers here taste very good, as do the fries, which are available in different versions. What I think is best is that you can order anything with your cell phone and pay at the end without having to wait for the waiter.

If you're in the mood for a burger & want a decent selection, the Butcher is the place to be. Really good burgers & tasty fries. The staff is really friendly & helpful. I always enjoy coming back. The only drawback is that the burgers could be a little bigger or you could use the double burgers.

The food is good, service is friendly, looks great, but unfortunately it is incredibly cold in the restaurant! With a coat you are frozen. You can't eat/enjoy like that. A pity.

It was my first time at Butchers, I really like the rustic and simple location! Fries very fine and hot! Burger was good, but not really hot or warm anymore... a bit of a shame... Staff friendly, but it's a shame that everyone speaks English right from the start :-) of course I speak English.. but we're still in Switzerland.. only card payment possible.. a bit difficult for me as a cash guy. But that worked too. But overall happy with the restaurant.

Price/performance wasn't right for me at all. The fries weren't fresh and the burger was average at best. Besides that, I found the portion to be very small. When it comes to restaurant prices instead of fast food prices, I expect everything to be fresh and of a correspondingly high quality. In my opinion, that wasn't it.

The burgers are TOP! Not too greasy, not fattening, but nice and light. It's also a big burger, so the price is completely reasonable. The staff is very friendly and competent. The order was also extremely quick. I would eat here again and again and recommend it!

The burger was very delicious, fresh meat and a nice bun. The truffle sauce was super delicious and a recommendation. I enjoyed the option to create your own burger with the app. Service was very friendly and attentive. One portion of the loaded fries was cold, but they replaced it immediately so I will still give 5 stars. The shop is big and nicely decorated and the location is very convenient.

The food was generally delicious, but unfortunately the fries were cold. However, we immediately received fresh fries when we complained about this. The ambience is nice, but I would like more comfortable chairs. Unfortunately, it doesn't invite you to linger.

Prices just about ok, at the upper limit just short of “too expensive”. *Ambience: I really can't believe they paid someone for such an interior design concept! Concept is the wrong word, that's exactly what's missing. *Service ordering process: menu card only via QR codes? Really now? At least we got a tablet with a cell phone display that was more like a hassle to read. *Service staff: an absolute no-go for me personally if I want to order and the lady then tells me "Oh, excuse me, I only speak English" Excuse me??? Yes, the catering industry has personnel problems. Yes, English is spoken a lot in Zug. Nevertheless, I expect a basic knowledge of German. I like to switch to standard German if someone doesn't understand Swiss German. But I find not even trying to speak German and then expecting that the guest can speak English to be disrespectful and arrogant.

We were the only people in this place. We had burgers, which were amazing. I didn't like the fries. We were served by an excellent hostess but since we were the only ones in the place, the atmosphere sucked eggs.

I also know the branch in Zurich and am simply thrilled with THE BUTCHER. Since I'm a chef myself, I also look at special things, like what's on offer, for example. My wife has a gluten intolerance and thanks to the option of getting the burger gluten-free, the choice to eat a burger is of course easy ;-) Unfortunately, when I visited a year ago, the burger meat was still bland, barely seasoned with salt or a little pepper. Of course the burger has the sauce and accessories in it, but still. The taste would be even more intense. - I'm a big burger fan and recommend the BUTCHER, regardless of the location. **ATTENTION CARD ONLY**

We were there last night around 5:30 p.m. After 10 minutes. Waiting at the table we were asked what we would like to drink. The food and drinks came at the same time after 15 minutes. The burger was okay and the sweet potatoes and fries were cold. After eating we waited 45 minutes until a service came and we actually wanted something to drink. Since there was no service, we called for the staff, paid and left. Service staff friendly, but not customer-oriented, preferring to run three times instead of clearing up. They didn't come to clear up, didn't ask if the food was good, if we wanted something to drink or anything else... I remember the butcher better from before...

Was at the Butcher recently and need to edit my review. I've been a regular customer at Butchers for a long time and was massively disappointed on my last visit. Prices have almost doubled without justification, I don't notice any improvement in the quality of the food, on the contrary. The veggie burger tastes absolutely terrible, there is little choice of drinks. The fries aren't exactly convincing either. Waiting times at Butchers have always been a problem and have not improved. Consumption in the restaurant itself is only possible for an additional charge, otherwise you will be turned away disrespectfully. The employees have no decency whatsoever, but that would be appropriate given such extreme prices. The manager of this restaurant doesn't even want to listen to the feedback from customers, he just laughs and runs away. The consequences of profit maximization are clear. I will definitely not visit this dirty shop again. For this money I can eat much better and more pleasantly in other burger shops. I can do without writing an email, the review is detailed enough, write your auto-generated answer somewhere else.

After years as a loyal guest at the Butcher, I am finally disappointed. Prices have increased exorbitantly, with no noticeable improvement in the quality of the food. The burgers and fries now taste miserable. The already long waiting times for food have become even longer. The staff is unfriendly and doesn't seem to take customer feedback seriously. These negative changes caused me to turn my back on the restaurant. It's a shame about the once pleasant atmosphere and good food.

As a long-time customer of Butcher, I regret to say that this restaurant has lost its luster and has now lost me as a customer for good. Food prices have reached an inexplicable spike, without the quality of the food matching this increase. The food was not only overpriced but also of poor quality. The former culinary joy has given way to a bland tasting nightmare. The waiting times for orders are unacceptably long. It's easy to wonder if the staff even notices that guests are sitting at their tables hungry and waiting for their food. A maximum of patience is necessary to survive the agonizingly long delays. Particularly disappointing were the burgers and fries, which not only tasted terrible but also gave the impression that they had been prepared hastily and without any care. The staff appears to have dropped the term customer service from their vocabulary. Not only were the employees unfriendly, but they seemed to have no interest in customer feedback. The guests' opinions seemed completely uninteresting to them. All in all, my visit to Butcher was a disappointing experience that led me to finally avoid this restaurant after a long customer relationship. It's a shame that something we once loved has deteriorated so much in quality and service.

Normally Butcher was always wonderful, but this time it was a real disappointment. The food only came after 2.5 hours. To be fair, it should be mentioned at this point that when ordering they stated a delivery time of around 120 minutes. The wait wasn't as bad, but the burgers and fries were cold. Not lukewarm, but cold! Even with the receipt, I can't explain what was done with it, the way it looked (picture). Dear Butcher Team, you actually have great burgers. But with the delivery service you have to go behind the books again.

This is the second time I've been to Butchers. But the first time was a while ago now. A lot has changed since then. I thought it was a shame that there were no more chicken patties. Instead, there are now more vegan or plant-based products, which I think is a shame because I really liked the burger. I then ordered a burger with a normal beef patty and vegan BBQ sauce. Unfortunately I have to say that the burger wasn't what I expected. The patty had several pieces of bone in it and the BBQ sauce was way too sour. But the fries were awesome. Please add the normal chicken burgers back to the range.

Food okay, good quality. Because you order online using your cell phone at the table, the service is only for bringing and serving the food at the location. Communication zero! If you want it that way!?! In ten years, if the development of gastronomy continues like this, you will no longer be a number. Personnel saved and social ebb. This idea is horrifying to me, but the beginning is becoming apparent.

It used to be a nice cozy place with good food. It's gone downhill. After the recent changes it's now an impersonal experience, you scan a QR barcode for the menu, order on your phone, pay on your phone. The only human contact is when you get the food at the table. Maybe there will be drones for that soon. And the food wasn't as hot as it could be. No spices on the table, no extra napkins. The irony is the default 10% tip added to the bill. For what? I thought that went away in Switzerland decades ago. Pay the people better. Meh.

More bad than good. We pre-ordered our food with the reservation and paid for it, but the food arrived late and we had to inform the staff that we had already ordered and paid. There was no verbal apology, but we were served two portions of fries instead of one. Maybe they're also part of the burger, we don't know, but we ordered fries once and maybe didn't receive them at all. The restaurant was almost empty, so it wasn't due to too much stress. Drinks were only brought to the table with the meal. We don't know that either. Again: The restaurant was almost empty and there are enough staff there. The plant-based burgers were quite greasy, but otherwise tasted okay, but not worth the price. The fries are actually pieces of potato that are soaked in fat and baked in the oven. They probably won't be fried there. Not fine at all. Quite mushy and full of fat. You can do it much better in your own oven. And The Butcher's fries can't be called fries. Seasoned with herb salt? We didn't notice, not even the salt. It's shocking that something like this can even be sold for so much money. The Butcher should try fries in Belgium or the Netherlands, or at least at Burger King, before offering fries yourself. The Butcher seems more like a pop-up restaurant that wants to stay on the market for a few years before word gets around that the kitchen doesn't serve up such fine things.

The service is miserable. We ordered a burger at the same time and an order didn't arrive, before we were told we should order again and they would refund us the money, we still haven't received the 37 francs. 1 burger was brought to the table 30 minutes in advance, even though there were two of us, when the second burger was finally brought the first one was already cold. An impudence never again.

Ordered from “Butcher” for the first time yesterday with a discount coupon to try the food. Ordering online was quick, easy and intuitive. Ordered four burgers plus one chili cheese loaded fries for two people. Three of the burgers were regular beef burgers and the other was plant based with a plant based patty. We then drove by to get the food and waited a few minutes at the "pick-up" counter. There were several employees there, looking at us and no one felt responsible in any way. After that we moved forward, we received our order and ordered two more cokes. Paid for the coke and then the employees ran away again, nothing was checked and we waited another 2-3 minutes until we received the OK that everything was OK. A few employees just walked around without motivation. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. When we got home, I started with the chili cheese fries. The taste was ok, nothing more. Then tried the Midday Bell and then my own burger that I had created. With all the burgers with meat, we noticed the large amount of cartilage or hard pieces in the meat, which really shouldn't be there for this price. The burgers were visually appealing but a disappointment in terms of taste. The chipotle sauce and the burger sauce had no kick. For this price I expect a burger with a lot of taste, the competition in Switzerland can do that much better for almost the same price. Even at Disney World in Florida, the meat quality of a burger was far better than what we were served here, for half the price, of course. Unfortunately, the plant-based patty didn't taste very good either, so you're better off with a Beyond Plant-based patty, sorry. Only the buns and the ingredients such as cucumbers, lettuce, caramalized onions were crunchy and tasty. For the high price you pay per burger, I expect quality and no gristle or hard pieces in the meat, especially for the high "per patty" price for 100% Swiss beef. Unfortunately I can't recommend "the Butcher".

I ordered the Vancouver Night; Visually great, taste flop. With a burger for 20.00 (without anything on it) I have some expectations. The bun was certainly far past its fresh days (dry and crumbly), the little vegan BBQ sauce supported this (but it tasted great). Of course there was a bottle of ketchup on the table but yeah… then I can stay at home. The service immediately spoke to us in English and apparently explained a few things to us. Somehow I was able to say that I only speak German. The “welcome feeling” immediately disappeared. A lady was able to explain the Butcher system to us in German (thanks for your effort). Fascite: Apparently I'll have to take a translator with me to the Butcher in Zug in the future. However, I probably won't be a guest anymore. It would also be desirable to say goodbye to the guests after payment. Apparently we were your guests at the wrong time (the reviews looked great)

The restaurant was almost empty, but despite this the “WAIT before being seated” was taken really seriously. There is no real card, just a cube with a QR code. (probably very cool as a group if everyone picks up their cell phone first). You can then order online. I find it a bit worrying from a social aspect. Really? There is no real cola? Just the ugly ZERO version? Then I treated myself to a 2.5 dl of still water for 4.20. More than I.O. The 20th burger (without fries) wasn't either.

My visit to Butcher Guter Burger at 2:00 p.m. today was simply fantastic! I cannot say enough praise for this restaurant and I leave with a full stomach and a smile on my face. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt warmly welcomed. The friendly staff greeted me with a smile and immediately made me feel at home. The service was attentive and courteous without being intrusive. The menu at Butcher Guter Burger is a true paradise for burger lovers. After a thorough examination, I decided on the "Signature Burger" and I was not disappointed. This burger was a real treat! The juicy, perfectly grilled meat, fresh toppings and homemade sauce made every bite a taste experience. The combination of flavors was simply divine. The side dishes were also top notch. The crispy fries and refreshing coleslaw were the perfect complement to the main course. I could literally feel the attention to detail in the preparation of each component. The portions were generous and I left the restaurant feeling full. In my opinion the value for money was excellent considering the quality and taste of the food. The atmosphere at Butcher Guter Burger was relaxed and welcoming. It was the ideal place to meet up with friends, chat and enjoy good food. My visit couldn't have been better and I can fully recommend this restaurant. If you're looking for a premium burger experience, Butcher Guter Burger is definitely the way to go. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Good selection of burgers but there could be 2-3 special burgers for a burger shop. You order everything using a QR code on your cell phone and the food is delivered to your table. (You hardly have any contact with the waiter) Therefore it is difficult to tip and 15% is automatically added to the bill. So if you don't want to type anything because you didn't have any proper operation, you have to remove it before paying, which is also on your cell phone. But the decoration was really successful

When I feel the need to enjoy a delicious bacon burger and I don’t want to drive to Zurich then there’s no other option but The Butcher. I have been there only for the takeaway service though. Hence, my experience is based only on this service type. Atmosphere 2: The restaurant manager (or owner) perfectly pictures the cliché of the low educated Swiss person. He doesn't support the clients if they don't speak Swiss German, and I was forced to ask three times the same question, and in the end, it was a waitress to support and satisfy my request. This guy has to really be thankful to his staff because food and service are great despite his lack of kindness and professionalism. Place 6: never been there as a guest, I can’t say how it feels to have a meal there. I really like the self-service area with the huge tablets to place your order. Of course, only in German! Location 6: the restaurant is located in the centre of the town. Easy to reach because it’s close to the train and the bus station and if you are by car, the parking of the Metalli mall makes everything very easy. Menu 7: a wide range of options for the burgers, both meat and veggie-based. The different bun types can make the difference. The sides are standard but I have to admit, the fries are delicious! I have never explored the chicken-pork burgers because the cheese bacon is the one I always choose. Service 7: As I wrote before, the staff is the real added value of this place. The crew in the kitchen does a great job and the crew at the restaurant is friendly and professional. It’s a miracle considering the dumb manager... Bill 6: Prices on average considering the area of the canton Zug.

I left a 5 star review here a couple years back but they've undergone some changes since then. They swapped out all the components of the burger that used to make them amazing, the buns, the "secret cheese mix", the "butchers special sauce", even the patties themselves just taste bland and have a weird consistency to them. The fries are still nice and the decor is really pleasant, but it was empty for a reason when I last went.

Nice place with good food. Even though it's nice to order from your cell phone and doesn't get stressed, I still miss interacting with the waiters. Sometimes it's a little cheeky that people ask for a tip when paying (which is also done via cell phone). Food was ok, I had The Butcher, a burger, taste was good, the meat was a little bland at times. Maybe my palette is crooked too. The music was way too loud. It was difficult to speak and you had to speak louder. The decoration is otherwise inviting and appropriate.
