On my way to work, I pass by the heavenly smells of your cooking. Finally I came to taste the and it's 1st class!

Outside (rather) yuck, inside yuck :-) For years I've just walked past it because the takeaway doesn't seem particularly inviting. When you enter the shop, an incredibly delicious smell fills your nose and you are greeted with a warm smile. The food tastes... prepared with love.

It was a wonderful expiriance. The food was amazing and the service is top noch.

Unfortunately not as good as after the opening. Still super nice and warm and good food. But it can be better, as it was in the beginning...

They let us order even though it had already said that the store was closed. I asked about some recommendations and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was very good and had a good kick to it.

The Coconut in Altstetten is the best Indian in Zurich. It's « just » a takeaway but the dishes put any Indian restaurant to shame. It's simply cooked with a lot of love!

Typical Indian restaurant in Zurich run by Mr. Biju from Kerala, India. Since they have only limited space, they are providing 'takeaway' only. Food is tasty and also the behavior of Mr.Biju who himself was a Chef in many Star hotels, as per the information he provided.

Rather mild for Indian, but was very good! You can tell that they cook with fresh ingredients.

Unfortunately, the food is always spicy. Even dhal or the few vegetables. It's very good, but unfortunately always spicy. I think too much pepper is used, and often too much salt for my taste.

Best butter chicken. Best paratha. Ever.

Highly recommended on TikTok, and the owners are really friendly. They prepare fried garlic and main ingredients on the spot and add some pre-prepared sauces. Definitely not fast food, and unfortunately very bland, probably catering to the Swiss palate.

If you're looking for a delicious Indian meal, look no further! As someone who only likes Samosas and Butter Chicken, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both dishes at this restaurant. The Samosas are large and definitely worth the price. But the standout dish for me was the Butter Chicken - the sauce was so good that I would drink it as a soup! Thank you for the delightful experience, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving some delicious Indian food.

Food tastes good, but the mixed plate, which now costs 24fr instead of 18 and consists of 2/3 just rice, is extremely expensive. In the photos the mixing plate costs 18fr

I must confess, whenever in Zurich, it is one of my favorite places to eat lunch. If you like Indian food this take-out is a must. The small local is deceptive, because inside you find delicious, spicy food. There are daily specials for lunch, meat and non-meat. Whether you like spicy hot, or spicy mild, either way you won't be disappointed; try it! Fantastic! Really. 🥥👨‍🍳

Wonderful Indian street snack, fresh and fragrant dishes, fair prices and friendly service. They absolutely deserve the top rating, I'd love to come back. Butter Chicken is an absolute recommendation!

It is okay, but definitely not worth the 4.9 stars it currently has. Maybe it is the best you can have in Switzerland, hence the high ratings, but compared to places where there is an abundance of Indian restaurants this one can't even compete. Also, the prices are quite high given you only choose 1/4 of what you buy and the portions are a bit small.

Epic homely Kerala/mallu food! The staff are very friendly and will cater to your spice preferences. We had the Kerala parotta, beef curry and prawns curry. All dishes were divine and took us back to dining at home Kerala. Our vegetarian friend claimed the north Indian dishes (paneer matar and dal tadka) weren't very authentic but were still incredibly delicious and homely.

The freshly cooked Kadai was a true explosion of flavors. Honestly the best indian meal I‘ve ever had so far. The owners are very professional and nice. I‘m definitely recommending The Coconut.

Would you like to taste a good Indian or South indian food? Then try once here. I have been to many indian restaurants in Zurich but this taste is unique then other indian restaurant. Only take away. NO dine in.

Authentic and delicious indian food.

Ordered home delivery from eat.ch: super tasty, tastes like it was homemade. Seems very fresh. I can only recommend! We were less convinced about the Taj Mahal opposite.

Best Indian take away in town so far.

I'm a home officer and if I want to reward myself over lunch because someone in the company upsets me, I go there. I already know some of the menus very well. My favorite is Methi Murg: creamy sauce with lots of spices, spicy but not spicy and with chicken and rice... a taste explosion on the tongue. Allow 10 minutes of preparation time but it's worth it!!!

6/5 Probably the best Indian takeaway in Zurich. The Malabar chicken and Lamb biryani are ace. Owner and is wife are very friendly as well. Perhaps a little far for some, but absolutely worth it notwithstanding.

They have daily menu, with many kind if meat or sauce they don’t name the plate. Portion are good but i would love to know a bit more what I am eating, what is in the sauce, etc.

Today we ate 2 vegan dishes and it was awesome. Basic sauces that taste completely different. Kadai and Khorma are highly recommended. Thank you very much for these taste experiences. I'm a fan of your cooking skills 🥰

Marvelous food. Best paneer I had for quite a while - no frozen rubbery bought stuff - no home made! And of course the menu was having some generouse helpings of rice, vegies, dal and yoghout sauce.
