The Willow Yard Pub in Dietikon

We are a group of 6 people who live opposite the pub. We don't go there anymore because of the arrogant blonde Italian woman who works there. Totally unfriendly, arrogant, cheeky and arrogant, this happened several times. It's a no go to let someone like that work there. Other friends of ours also had the same bad experiences with this blonde woman. They will no longer visit the pub either.

Just switch off and enjoy. High quality interior...

A great bar, but children don't belong here

The good days of that Pub are probably a matter of the past. I live across the street so we gather often ther with friends because of concenience. 1) The beers are nice 2) The atmosphere is noce. 3) The service has become terrible. The new member of the team of an older age either forgets the orders, or does not know the menu or simply brings something different than ordered. 4) The coctaiks are a random. Try to order 3 times the same coctail and you wil have 3 different variations of that. 5) The food has become terrible. The 25chf basic burger has become smaller than the cheeseburger in McDonalds and they try to justify the price because they…put salad next to it. Bottom line, nice for company or a quick beer but thats it. Pity, it started so well but the good days are over.

A very, very nice pub, lovingly furnished, with a great flair. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff was very accommodating. The toilets are super clean and also built in a great style.

Great choice of beer and good choice of classic pub food. Prices a little high but average for Zurich. Great for watching games.

Good beer selection, but why so much Eichhof? There could certainly be something more special and better. Otherwise great atmosphere in the pub with screens everywhere.

Service personel was sitting around, tried to order coffe and brownie, but they were watching the game. Not asking the customer for additional drinks, just sitting around - this is not professional, never seen that in a restaurant or bar

Loved the Pub Quiz night on Monday

Rather expensive, but the food was superb. I had the ribs and they were fall apart tender, which I liked. There was a large selection of different beers.

It's only open from 4 p.m. on Saturday and it's terrible. We had to look for another watering place when it was 33 degrees. That was very nerve-wracking

We were there at lunchtime. 4 people. It was practically empty, two other tables were occupied... we had to wait an hour for our food! You couldn't pay separately but only together. The service lady was totally overwhelmed and unfriendly. A no-go! Waiting 1 hour for food is not possible! We don't go there anymore.

It is not allowed to pay in cash... Slaves of the system that wants to impose unique thinking are welcome... decent choice of beers at prohibitive prices

Great pub, delicious burgers and a large selection of beer. The service staff is friendly and helpful, but unfortunately it always takes an eternity to get your order, regardless of whether it's food or drinks. Otherwise highly recommended.

The best burger l had in Zurich..

The prices are higher than comparable dining sites of similar style. The new concept with self ordering directly to the table eliminates any human contact. In addition it makes it impossible, that many people order on their own and get the food a the same time. Since the owner let the managers go the pub is going downwards.

I always like the vibe of the restaurant. I go there quite often but I much prefer when there were more food choices like several months ago. Previous time I order Veggie burger. It supoose to have avocado inside but it wasnt there so I was a bit disappointed but it is ok. Will keep going back anyways. We like your beers!

The music kept abruptly interrupted by a quiz, mood killer!

Finally a cool location in Dietikon! The food is delicious! Staff is very friendly and attentive. It keeps getting better! The terrace is already open. Adapted menu and there is even more choice. The new burgers in particular are delicious. Highly recommended to try the new dish.

I'm still undecided... facility is great. Service ok. The map only on the cell phone with QR is not for me... seems a bit loveless to me. (It was also programmed incorrectly... Wrong size/price for the beer) I like holding a nice card in my hands - it can be a little worn in the pub.😁 The kitchen was closed when we were there. Therefore no food - just snacks. But the snacks could be better... I can also get the few Doubt chips bags in the Lidl next door. Some cool, authentic bar snacks wouldn't go amiss. Selection of alcoholic drinks was very good. Soft drinks are rather boring... There's also room for improvement. Overall Conclusion - Acceptable/Below Average. But the pub definitely has some potential for improvement and with a few small adjustments it would definitely get 4 stars. But it will definitely happen... - I'll definitely go by again. Best when there is live music playing.

I wanted to order at the bar, the waitress only reacted when I was in front of her and behaved very arrogantly. Since you can't pay with cash, I had to get my partner who was hit with a can you pay! Terrible. We're used to pubs in London, but this one doesn't work at all!!!!

Firstly the pub was excellent in all respects. You felt like you were in another place. Then you could only order via cell phone, which is fine with me. However, at this point the staff was already in a bad mood. And every time. With the live music and the good food, the positives outweighed the negatives. The last time we visited on St. Patrick's Day there wasn't even any live music. Sorry, but sitting in a pub with staff looking at you and giving you the feeling when will I finally get off work, with high-fives of music and waiting times for food of 1 hour and 5 minutes Up until now I enjoyed going there very often. However, I have decided that it is enough now.

Onion rings were over done and for a pub I would prefer not to have to make a reservation but enjoy the style and cocktails and all srrvice free.

Unfortunately is has nothing to do with a PUB. It is all very impersonal, you order with a QR code and are not exactly treated very nice. In addition, they advertise following online for tuesdays: 1 franc per chicken wing, but it cost 2 francs per chicken wing. The explanation was: Half of a chicken wing, counts as one chicken wing. Sorry UBS, you guys failed on this one :-/

Excellent place to be with your friends or watch sports. The food is good and we love the method of ordering food using the phone.

Great pub quiz, every Monday. It would be cool if there were more people there, so definitely give the pub quiz on Monday a chance. Eating wasn't really my thing, but that's probably more my fault than the food, because I don't tolerate greasy food (and that's burgers and fries...) very well. We can't understand the negative reviews about the service, but she was very friendly and nice to us. The thing is, only English is spoken, and sure, it's in a "village", but you're in an Irish pub. By the way, the other guests would certainly be happy to help with the translation ;-) I can only recommend the quiz night! :)

The food is good, just a bit expensive for a pub in Dietikon. The ambience is great, like a pub in Ireland! The live music on the weekends couldn't be better! The service, however, is deplorable. If it's too difficult for you to bring the beer to the tables, then let's just get it at the bar! That doesn't bother anyone! 🙂 And one more thing... Finally order Newcastle again!

Finally there is a real pub in Limmatfeld where you can meet up and eat and drink at the same time. The decor is extremely cool and the selection of beer and food is very large. We have been to The Willow Yard Pub a few times and will definitely come back. Also worth mentioning is the live music, which is unheard of anywhere in the region.

The service is a disaster. I don't know why I should spend another cent there. It looks like they don't need the money. Not even the boss is interested in the guests being satisfied.

Really good place! It’s relatively new, atmosphere is nice and the food was really good too. Yes it did take some time to come out but this is a pub, and as it goes, usually new business take time to settle into a routine! Will definitely come back

Very cool and well-equipped pub, the food is delicious and the service was always friendly and motivated. I recommend that anyone who arrives by car and parks in the parking spaces in front of the pub pay for the parking space without exception. The parking spaces are private and are controlled by a private "security company", which is known to be very aggressive. We've already had two buses (it's our own fault, now we're smarter ;)).

It's stupid when you go to the toilet and then half the beer that you had to leave alone is cleared away.

Unfortunately very disappointing, we were there to eat and drink something. We all ordered a burger, someone a veggie burger. The side dishes of fries and salad were ok, hence 2 stars, but the burgers were a disaster. The meat was very tough and the whole burger fell apart. Unfortunately also the veggie bruger, the burger bread completely fell apart. And best of all the store is extremely expensive and for incredibly poor quality. I'm happy to pay a slightly higher price for a good burger, but that's a disgrace. Paid around CHF 115 for 3 catastrophic burgers and 3 drinks. I also find it a minus point that the employees don't know a word of German. For me English is not a problem but I can imagine that not everyone can speak English so you should adapt. Not recommended.

Unfriendly staff very arrogant and frustrated expression, not at all customer focused. Something like that doesn't work at all. The service is at the lowest level and we do not check that we as customers provide you with a workplace.

Great pub with good food and drinks selection as well as daily events such as live music and pub quiz nights. I regularly come here. Sometimes the music is too loud though and it would also be nice to see a wider selection of local beers.

Very unfriendly and arrogant staff! Arrogant and unfriendly to the point of not being possible anymore! Sorry, but at these prices you can expect at least decent and friendly staff. I was sitting outside and after paying I wanted a receipt, the server told me in a cheeky and arrogant tone that I should go inside and pick up the receipt myself at the bar, is that still possible?! We left over 100 CHF lying around and then something like this! Can't recommend this bar. This pub probably has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen.

My family and I went in for breakfast and the staff were very rude and impatient we also had to wait over an hour to be served and when the food did arrive it wasn’t the right order so we had to wait another 30 min for them to make the correct order .Then when the correct order did arrive it was cold. This pub has probably one of the worst costumer service I think I’ve ever seen.

Terrible place to work. The owners fired me without any communication. I didn’t receive an email, text or even a letter to know. I was simply removed from everything. Then they refused to pay me! Stay away from this place

I'm really not happt to be here. Every time we visit Zürich , where my family resides, we make a point of eating at the Irish Pub. a table on a Friday night was reserved. one waitress/barmaid. terrible service requested fish, chips, and peas. didn't bring any peas. questioned their location? Nothing peas! Ok, how about some beans? huffed and puffered. Curry sauce was also ordered; it was delivered frozen. Over 75 CHF was spent on two servings of insipid, overcooked fish and chips, a stew, a burger, and a plate. Very dissatisfied

I have visited this pub last Saturday and had the worst pub experience of my life. Very bad place one of the worst Irish pubs I’ve visited. the prices are too high and the service is also very bad the staff are not good enough to take care of the customers . First of all they don’t respond to you properly secondly I asked them to get a guinness beer and they got me feldschloesschen beer and when I asked them to change it they told me we can’t do that as we already billed.

Honestly this is worst Irish pub I ever went to, went there last Sunday and I had horrible experience with terrible customer services.

Nice irish pub! Live music is sometimes a little loud. Food is absolutely fantastic!! Also the english breakfast is very nice. Didn't like the sausages though. They were a little soft.

I went to the Sunday brunch and it was perfect, the quality, place and atmosphere... and also delicious! The best thing was the attention of the waitress, always attentive, she knew how to suggest everything very well and was very friendly. It certainly made our experience memorable. Thanks =)

You are an Irish pub with around 8-10 televisions and you also attract customers with football. For the past 3 weeks I've been coming every weekend with my football friends and watching the top games. But today a huge disappointment suddenly means no more live commentary. What is football without live commentary (we went home at halftime). Just because a woman wrote that she would never come back to the Irish pub anyway. It's impossible to scare away potential regular guests. Many guests see it exactly that way! I'll only come back when you allow live commentary again. Food and service is top. I didn't want to write a bad review because The Willow Yard is a great pub with high quality but without live commentary, I and my colleagues won't come anymore. With live commentary at the football games 5 out of 5 stars.

Ok in itself, but you need a cell phone with a qr scanner for the memory card, these are not available in good old paper and you couldn't and didn't want to understand a word of German. You should at least know what is on the memory card.

NEVER AGAIN! Five of us were guests at this local on Tuesday evening, October 11th, 2022. Huge disappointment! There is no menu here, you should download the menu. If the battery is empty, you're out of luck. Nobody speaks German here, only English. The prices are very high. 10 CHF half a liter of beer!!!Wow. Well then cheers! You can forget about the service. Arrogant and unfriendly to the point of not being possible anymore! There were five of us and we ordered the table full of food and drinks (this was our first and last visit). We couldn't be happier. Suddenly the bartender turned off the music and turned on the Champions League really loudly. Several matches were running at the same time. We couldn't talk at all. After I complained, the bartender said the guys (2 young men) wanted to watch football and he couldn't do anything. Another lady also complained that it was very loud and unpleasant. He can't do anything. The bartender himself wanted to watch football. This is above all a sports club!!!!!!!!!! here he told me. I'm sorry, what? There is nothing like that anywhere. Two young guys drink a beer and are allowed to watch 5 football matches at the same time and we ordered food for around CHF 300 and had to understand that the guys wanted to watch football. When I said that we wanted to go in this case, no one cared. The bartender quickly came to collect the money. Terrible! Never again! Catastrophe!

The food is good and the prices are ok. I'm not into cashless only. The Menu could use a back button so i don't have to scan again after i am done with the drinks and want to look at foods. Sadly the poor waiter was alone for the ground floor for a while so we had to wait some time.

A really great place! A piece of Ireland in this beautiful corner of Dietikon, with good food, great atmosphere and friendly and efficient service. Nicely decorated glasses of Guiness (see photo). We are looking forward to going back.

Wow! Cool location. I can't recommend the drinks (Mojito & Co) but the range of beer & gin is large. The food looks delicious, unfortunately you can't see any allergens on the menu, so we eat somewhere else. The many televisions take some getting used to, as do the flashing lights on the ceiling, but the live music was awesome. We'll be back.
