Very good vegetarian food, but expensive. You can help yourself to a rich buffet and pay by weight.

The prices for a buffet are absolutely ridiculous. Paying 80.- for two plates of veggies is stealing from clients. And they also try to trick you into tipping them with your card, beware. don’t waste your time and money.

The best lunch I’ve had in Europe! Lots of natural light, spacious seating, elegant and modern cafe atmosphere with restaurant-level food choices, friendly services and affordable price(by weight). Highly recommended to anyone seeking for a place to study, work, have a gathering, or date!

Guys, why can’t you program your card readers correctly and get rid of the annoying tipping function? This is Switzerland, are you trying to milk your customers for cash? I come to your restaurant often, but I am now starting to get annoyed, no other restaurant I go to does this. If you need more money, increase your prices, pay your staff accordingly and please stop this nonsense. Edit: Well, apparently I am not the only one complaining of the beginning tactics, they made it into the newspapers in Bern. And by the way the answer below is rather pathetic. Just acknowledge you just want to trick customers into paying you more, please update your prices and stop this very shameful tactic.

Beautiful restaurant design. Good variety of delicious food.

Ordinary buffet, no surprises. The desserts are not good for example. Vermicelli. Overpriced drinks. I am not questioning the quality of the products but the lack of originality.

After seeing an invoice for 1512f Switzerland went to the tibits and to their surprise they realized this error. They did what was necessary to reimburse us and it was done quickly. Very professional team. I will return without problem and thank you again for your responsiveness

Price performance is not right!

I've been visiting Tibits (everywhere, not just in Basel) since it opened, so for many years; and always! the quality is equally excellent! Of course, I really appreciate the fact that almost everything on offer is now vegan, with a few exceptions. The food is very fresh, seasonal, varied, and prepared in such a way that it is always surprising! The buffet is constantly being “worked on” throughout the day, it is always freshly replenished, beautifully prepared and cleaned, it always looks as if you were the first guest to serve yourself… I find the self-service concept very pleasant; you see what there is and create as much as you like; you can also just take a little. Tap water, as much as you want and a bread roll are free. The price-performance ratio is quite reasonable for the excellent quality on offer. (The dishes are very filling and “last a long time”, which also has to be taken into account when assessing the prices!) The restaurants are all extremely attractive and stylishly furnished, and the service is always very courteous and friendly. Highly recommended!

Wonderful choice for a rainy December Sunday. Quite many choices for vegetarians. The atmosphere is cozy and all the workers are so warm and friendly.

Very nice restaurant, with a bit too many plants for me that make the path difficult. But otherwise very nice. The food was good. Unfortunately there is little selection of “normal” vegetarian dishes. Anyone who likes something exotic and oriental is very well served here (: it's simply a matter of taste. Nice staff.

The food is very good. The self-service buffet offers a large, appealing selection. Personally, I don't find the atmosphere really comfortable. There is quite a bit of “walking traffic”. I also find the price level to be very high.

Vegan food, but the variety is great and flavours were nice. Some of the roasted vegetables were quite salty (beetroot). But I live salty food, but I was expecting it to be more bland. Great fresh food! Loved the atmosphere and self-service process.

Tibitis has a nice buffet system and beautiful vegetarian recipes - some of them inspired by the Swiss traditional food. It's always in a convenient place.

Lovely food, even for a meat eater.

This forced tipping preset when paying digitally is a bad habit that will hopefully be nipped in the bud and will not gain a foothold in Switzerland. Also new at Tibits. Prices should be advertised and staff should be paid properly by the employer. Otherwise it will end up looking like in the USA, where people effectively only work for tips.

I ate outside, a green oasis in the city center. Many different and very original salads, also for vegans. Delicious.

I really enjoy coming here. Delicious food, good value for money and the atmosphere is really nice. Since it is a self-service buffet, everyone is sure to find something and is ideal for vegans, vegetarians and or gluten intolerant people.

I visited tibits today to have lunch with a friend. Good selection at the buffet, lots of bread and a large selection of drinks. The room climate and atmosphere was open and informal. I find the restaurant in the upper price range to be comparable

Unfortunately, the quality of the food suffered: dry nachos and unfortunately far too expensive. The service is incredibly accommodating, extremely warm-hearted (almost penetratingly friendly) and you immediately feel at home - but I simply don't eat the frozen falafel that is served to you. But the beautiful moments as a guest at tibits Basel, Bern, Zurich and Lucerne for over 15 years remain deep in my heart.

Delicious food and a very nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Air conditioning at 35 degrees is a relief.

I think it looks nice but the food is not my style. I don't like vegetarian but I had a brownie and a tea that was good. The atmosphere was also nice and cozy but I recommend making a reservation. All in all good.

0% animal friendly 🤮!!! I had an unpleasant experience at Tibits Basel as my dog ​​(cocker spaniel) was not welcome. In contrast, dogs are welcome at Tibits Lucerne. It would be nice if Tibits Basel were more animal-friendly. I was disappointed with the way my dog ​​and I were treated. and the unfriendly staff (the woman in the light blue shirt) she should be fired 😡!!! Never again Tibits Basel 👎🏾!!! Not recommended with children. Had lunch with my daughter (1 year). I would like to have the food in take-away packaging so that I could take the food with me if I couldn't go there with the little one. I was forbidden to do this. They couldn't offer me an alternative. Totally overpriced average food. Paid almost CHF 40 for a plate that didn't even fill me (male, 65kg).

Self-service, you pay according to weight, standard price. As usual, a varied buffet, freshly made and cleanly presented as always. There are enough seats in the cozy and friendly interior, plus a spacious outdoor area.

The food is good, but there could be more much to choose from. All staff are very friendly.

An incredible vegan and vegetarian open buffet, all the dishes were delicious. After making a plate from the buffet, you weigh it and pay the fee. The one in Basel, located close to the SBB train station, is very nice. It is not a must-visit, but it can be said that the only address for a fast and delicious meal is a pleasant place.

If you need something quick and yet healthy to eat, Tibits is great. I enjoy going there often. With vegetarian/vegan and regional it is very contemporary. Gladly again and again. My favorite: The ginger punch.

The place where I always go because everything is good.

Mothers with strollers not welcome. On Friday evening around 6:30 p.m. I wanted to go to Tibits for dinner with my son, 8 months, and my sister's birthday party. It was a last-minute decision with 11 guests. However, for alleged fire safety reasons it was not possible to take the stroller to the birthday table. Disappointing that such a business policy makes it impossible for young mothers with children to visit. So we left Tibits disappointed. All that was left was a stunned head shake from my guests.

A real experience! Everyone at Tibits was so friendly. They even made it possible for us to visit with two dogs and gave us a table with space at the edge. Eating is a real experience. Always worth a visit, the regularly changing offerings always impress with their very good taste. The restaurant is very busy at lunchtime, so there are long waiting times. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Amazing vegetarian by weight place. Lot of different things to try, all of them with great flavor. They offer some daily soup options and lots of different salads and breaded veggie things, potato on all its forms, raclette, etc. it’s really good been there many times don’t know why I hadn’t made the review before. Btw the place is beautiful.
