The only thing Michelin starred about this place was my bottle of Chianti and the gummy candy they give you at the end. As for the rest….note for the chef, try your on food before you send it out and put a ridiculous price tag on it. Service was decent and the poor waiter we had was attentive and sweet. Save your money guys and go to Burger King ard the corner, this place sucks.

The chef’s special menu should usually reflect what the chef is most proud of and the story the chef wants to share. However the dishes here from the chef menu left me confused and disappointed. I’m surprised with how the chef can put out dishes like this…there is no complexity in flavours and the presentation is also lacking, by a lot. One of the dish is a radish…and I can only taste the slight bitterness of it. Another dish is said to be creamy rice with truffle, but I’m pretty sure it’s melted cheese with truffle. You can’t make it “fancy” just by putting truffle on it. The main dish was foie gras wrapped in chicken…and it was a waste of the foie gras. The dish was dry and incredibly underwhelming. Overall I just felt puzzled, wondering if we ordered the wrong things and should have ordered from the a la carte menu instead. Not sure how a restaurant like this could ever receive a star.

Dinner was special. The servers are very nice and bilingual. All the staff are Italian and therefore can represent the culture of the restaurant well. The dishes were really good, but the starter was not the best and was really too acidic. Another minor mistake I found in these dishes was that there was too much salt. I highly recommend the pasta which is perfect and the truffle is of very high quality. The meat was some of the best meat I have eaten. The staff is very friendly and kind. I recommend for a family evening or for evenings with colleagues.

This food was so amazing. The wine was amazing, all Italian which was fitting for the all Italian dishes. The service was great, Matthew was great and really made for a great experience. The piano player was fun, took lots of requests and played great tunes. Such a fantastic meal this should be on everyone's list in Geneva!

Food was a bit too exotic. We didn’t realize we were booking at the “gastronomic” side of the restaurant and the food was really over the top. The regular restaurant looked very good, but ours was very obscure and extremely expensive for what it was and for other restaurants in the area. The courtyard was nice but the food took away from it.

The Tosca restaurant is a hidden gem near Geneva's Jet d'eau.
