Blacklight 2024 A magical theme The Enchanted Forest. A superb event for children, but also for adults. Very well organized and fantastic. My son had an amazing time! It’s on par with the other events organized by Totem, the courses are already great and the camps are great. Looking forward to the next edition!

I have a climbing gym in Lisbon at the bridge Ponte 25 de Abril called Escala25, and I am completely shocked with the conditions of TOTEM. Amazing routes, moon board, complete gym, and an awesome bar! Very friendly staff, I highly recommend! Tomorrow I will be back for sure

Large room with a well-stocked weight training area. There is something for all levels. The green-yellow ones are particularly easy compared to other places. From the blue level, it becomes a challenge. The only downside is the very strong smell of feet. Maybe more ventilation would be good

Good bouldering gym, but with room for improvement. It needs a better check-in system. It's bothersome waiting to enter especially as I have an annual pass. At peak times there's a queue because a number of people arrive by train at same time. The changing area is badly designed. But ... it's a great place to boulder and the atmosphere is fun.

The kids had a riot, and were completely cared for throughout the whole party. I wasn't concerned for their safety at any point, everything was very well explained and overseen, the facility is huge, impeccably clean, and perfect for all levels. I don't know about the food there, but the kids snacks at the party were pretty good and something smelt delicious around lunchtime so I might get lunch next time.

I have just finished a fitness session at Totem which I had the chance to experience individually with Farok. It was amazing! I'm getting back into sport after a few months off and I had some preconceptions about fitness, telling myself that it could be difficult or not very fun. But with Farok I had a blast! We see that he has a lot of experience and is able to offer lots of different exercises that are fun and adapted to my needs and abilities. A mix between boxing, fit, cross-fit. In short, diversity and I really liked it. The other biggest thing is his talent as a coach: both hyper supporting, motivating but while remaining human and authentic. In short, I loved it and can’t wait for the next sessions!

Rant from a subscriber! What keeps Totem Meyrin going now is the staff and the warm welcome, a big thank you to them! For the rest, we really see the room deteriorating, the hygiene is sometimes deplorable (a lot of dust, especially in the children's corner) the toilets are really very limited... nothing is really maintained (the chairs, broken fan not replaced, children's toys are a shame...). I've been going to the room since it opened and you can really see the lack of maintenance compared to the beginning. The bar prices are, in my opinion, very excessive, especially on the snacking side when you know that everything is industrial! If you're feeling a bit peckish, you have the choice between sugar, sugar and sugar... We're still talking about the gym first and foremost! Finally, it's been a few months since the quality of the openings is no longer what it used to be... We're not all 1m90!!! everything is far and big!! More equity and diversity would be nice. In short, competition is setting in, other theaters are arriving...We will have to react. PS: and buy brushes for the sockets!!!

After two consistent years at Totem, I can say that the setting and climbing parts of the gym were great. Ambiance was always good with clients, but staff is constantly scowling (apart from the ones that we grew to know, coeur sur vous) Just awful vibes on that part, often ignoring us or even refusing to sell us snacks 40 minutes before closing time. This kind of stains the Totem team because (even if it’s not always the cleanest) it’s an overall nice experience😚

Expensive, mediocre summer camp. My kid participated in their Evasion camp this summer, which promises on their website: "Escalade..., activités aquatiques, tyrolienne..." and their FB ads further promise: "des grillades au feu de bois, de la tyrolienne & pendule géant". This is all false advertising, as all they did was climbing. Meals were provided, which is super convenient, but they literally ate ham and cheese sandwiches every day for a whole week. For the price, I would have thought they would put more thought into it. The monitors did not seem very engaging, according to my kid, only one of them gave them pointers, the other one just set up the top ropes and didn't give any climbing tips. There was one kid who was disruptive and made racist and sexist remarks and the monitors did nothing. The camp was supposed to end at 4:30, but every day they got back early and left the kids to wait on the couch for the parents, while the monitors left. Apparently, the people at the front desk were looking after them (while also running the gym?). I had to rearrange my schedule to pick up my kid 30 minutes early every day so they wouldn't just sit there. Finally, apparently, the monitors did not drive very safely. Overall, it seems like a bunch of bouldering bros threw this camp together to make money, rather than create cool experience.

While the climbing area remains good, and changed frequently enough, the staff and service have gone through a significant downgrade. Without fail, each member was more concerned with socialising among themselves and own needs instead of the visitors - both at the accueil and the food and beverage section. There seems to be a “je m’en foute” spirit.

A very nice gym, lots of open space and very tall walls. Really fun routesetting, albeit some scary commiting high last moves on the harder climbs. Only issue was finding the gym which was a little confusing because you have to go to the back of the building. 8 minutes on the train to city centre for 3CHF so easy to get to!

Worse and worse. Climbing room with gym, nice team but above all it becomes a games room for children, horrible music games for children, which changes the atmosphere for all the other customers. I took my kids to a birthday party, they had a really good time. It's fun and well supervised. For the other accompanying child I paid 13frs, unlimited duration, I find that reasonable. I don't know the birthday prices though. Snacks and drinks, all industrial, are expensive for my taste. A bottle of water at 2.90frs... Indeed, the cleanliness leaves a little to be desired. Came to coach a client, the reception was bad by the staff... Rubbish in the training area, few holds on the pan and a minimalist gullich pan, very basic blocks and quickly opened for the most part. In short, a leisure center more than a climbing gym. A very bitter taste remains for me from my visit to this establishment, which is not, however, poorly designed. And congratulations for the kilterboard, a great tool.

I give 4 stars for the welcome of the staff which is at the top, the constant openness and super clean with a wide choice of profiles, thank you to the ushers, for the children's area which is nice, for the possibility of training in the fitness room, and I removed 1 star for the PRICE!!!!!It's becoming crazy, it doesn't correspond to the spirit and the budget of many motivated climbers with little means! It touches me a little to see prices increase. We certainly pay for a service with a super beautiful room in Geneva with a rental price which must be high but that does not justify 18.- entry to bouldering.

I gave 5 stars last year. The place was dope and the kids loved it! The kids still love it actually but the spot is not as fresh and the staff is not as cool... We had really bad experience recently. The kids zone is so dirty! There's loads of dust absolutely everywhere. I honestly think it was never cleaned. The toys are also all wrecked. The swing felt from the ceiling and is just lying around. The rolling bugs are nasty. And the net! Look at the net! The thing is just well broken. Dozen of kids are jumping like nuts at the same time on this thing. Thats probably why the first layer already broke! Seriously guys, fix the freaking net, clean the place, swap some toys, kids will still love it and parents will be even happier to buy some more expensive beer.

Very nice gym, interesting and modern route setting, changed reasonably frequently. The only reason I am not giving 5 star is because it needs better ventilation. Every time I finish climbing I can spit out from my mouth, wash out from my nostril, black dust. I started to pay attention to each session and I can see small floating dusts from the chalk, also breathing is stimulating the inside of my nose. I feel the one in versoix or Gland doesn't have this problem. If you're the owner, please consider improving the ventilation, if you're a staff, this matters to your health as well! Also regulating to use indoor chalk help, too.

Positive: Modern, comfy, spacious. Many variations of routes with plenty of choices. The colour choices of the holds are quite friendly for colourblind climbers. The nearby routes have sufficient contrasts. Well equipped training areas. Nice view. Separated children area. (safer for them) Why am I hesitated to give it a five-star: The labels for difficulties are not easy too read (especially for colourblind climbers), they are kind of metallic. I prefer those in Versoix. Less fancy but easy to tell. Otherwise, please label the routes with letters or numbers. Some routes contain knee-killer holds from other routes that share the same area. Route setters should be careful when adding a new route to an existing one. Please test the existing one after add a new one. The new holds might injure people who climb the other routes. My knees got injured three times during last session because those small sharp holds from other routes were by chance in my knee positions. No locker (not a big issue for me, but might for some newbies) The seats are too clean and tidy (I didn’t sit in them because I didn’t want to make them dirty) The bar doesn’t seem fully functioning yet, with only one staff member who was a bit struggled to handle many things. Too much loud screaming from the neighbour (the children zone). Maybe because it was Saturday. Some parents used the hanging seats as swingings for their children in the adult climbing zone, which is kind of dangerous for both the children and other climbers. I saw one climber’s head be almost knocked by a flying seat. And another parent crashed the nearby facility by pushing his kid in the seat too hard. Despite all that, I enjoyed the climb experience very much. And I would strongly recommend this new climbing gym. ——- Update: there has been improvements since I posted this review: Boulder problems are also labelled in text now; They are much less saturated than before (more space between routes), thus easier to read and less prone to injury; The colours of the holds on different neighbour routes have significant contracts as always, great for colourblind climbers like me; I returned to the gym several times lately, no issue with running kids in the ‘grownups’ climbing zone anymore; The bar seems fully functioning now and the staff was friendly and helpful; A sauna is now available in the changing room (no one seems using it yet). The price is unbeatable in Geneva, especially if you go there before 14 o’clock. For above mentioned reasons, I changed my rating to 5 stars. (I would give the gym 5+ if possible for being responsive to our comments).

Very beautiful climbing, children and fitness areas. Very well equipped with the exception of the climbing mats which are frankly too hard, you really don't want to fall from the top because you quickly get hurt. It doesn't cushion at all. Big big downside. Should add a soft carpet on top otherwise too dangerous. Back pain from the first session for me and my husband. Another much less important downside is the color of the labels. OK, almost all of them are confused because they are metallic. The rest is truly incredible. Especially the children's area. Staff is top notch.
