Ultimo Bistro & Wine Bar in Genève

Ultimo time! I hope this message finds you well. I recently dined at your establishment. And unfortunately, the experience has left a lasting impression. It has been two weeks since my visit, yet I still find myself reminded of the disappointing experience. The ‘ravioli alla carbonara’ lacked the traditional guanciale. Altering its taste, could be interesting but, the ravioli filled with pulled pork was dry, cold and flavourless. The dough of the ravioli was to think. Due to this partly uncooked. When I inquired about the absence of guanciale, the waitress looked at me like I talked about a magical spell. She had to consult with her manager, who appeared disinterested. Sat in the back of the restaurant during the dinner while the staff worked tirelessly. The unfriendly response of the manager/owner and uninspired service left me feeling unwelcome. He came back to show me a piece of guanciale that didn’t look at all compared to the product on my plate. I was clearly beacon. I had my picture examined by an Italian chef from Rome where the pasta carbonara originated from. Despite the time that has passed, the memory of this experience lingers, I felt compelled to share this feedback with you in the hopes of highlighting areas for improvement. It is overpriced and I regretted to spend my money here.

Quite intimate restaurant. We specially came to eat the pasta prepared in a parmesan wheel with truffle shavings. It was excellent ! If you take this dish, we advise you not to choose a starter, it is quite substantial! The non-alcoholic cocktails are also excellent. Good time had!

What can I say about this magnificent restaurant? An impeccable welcome and service. A very welcoming boss, a more than adorable waitress. This waitress was preparing a truffle pasta dish in front of other customers and saw us wondering about this dish. She put some on a plate for us to taste without us even asking, then a second small plate when we saw that we really liked it. Don't trust the other comments criticizing this truffle pasta because it's really excellent 👌🏼 The atmosphere is warm, the decoration very pretty. We feel good there. The cuisine... you won't eat better in Geneva than at Ultimo. Small aperitif always surprising in flavors but never disappointed! The dishes are hearty, and above all delicious. Their Milanese escalope is divine! ✨ the best I have ever eaten! And the desserts are also to die for. An incredible lemon tart! The dough was really excellent, we all fell in love with it! The mille-feuille pastry is also to die for. Frankly there is nothing to complain about. I recommend this restaurant 1000 times. And thank you again for this wonderful welcome each time 🤍

After a "discussion" with the boss which led to nothing, it is with regret that I leave this restaurant. In summary, Mr. Boss was more than unpleasant and annoying. The specialty “Paccheri Ultimo al tartufo” is to be avoided, tourist trap, Instagram trap.

Located in the center of Geneva. The ultimo bar was nothing short of a surprise! In fact, we didn't know what to expect when we went there. The owner was friendly and went around the tables to see if everything was going well. I had a grilled octopus dish which was huge and which I struggled to finish! The prices were fair and the quality was great. The dishes were simply prepared with love of cooking. The space is perfect for a dinner with friends, after work and even between lovers. All you have to do is book with ultimo which guarantees you the best services! 5/5 Wonderful evening

Nice, simple and quiet restaurant for a family meal via thefork at 7:30 p.m. No chair for child/baby so dinner was not completely relaxing for the parents. Tasty meal but not generous portions. We barely made it until dessert because it was way too hot inside even though we weren't far from the front door.

Secondly, I strongly recommend that you pay a communications professional to manage your after-sales service on the internet.. more than a restaurant must give an impeccable image.. despite the mistakes you may make and which may be normal, nothing is perfect ! Third, I also recommend that you review some of your dishes.. such as the Calamari tagliatelle. Indeed, the presentation leaves something to be desired as does the taste. The calamari was dry and rubbery. Your steak with truffle is too loaded with truffle, meat without seasoning. To conclude, I will not recommend your restaurant. Little experience on the part of the servers and therefore little attention to customers. I ordered pasta (overcooked) with pistachio pesto (too much oil, so much so that I had a stomach ache the same evening) and stracciatella (good). I also add that one of my friends had a 22 chf salad (SALAD) where they forgot to put the main ingredient. In my opinion, as an Italian, the prices are exaggerated for the type of service and cuisine they offer.

Very surprised by the bad ratings from other customers which push me to defend this very good restaurant. The signature dish caccio e pepe with truffle was superb, the waitress let us enjoy the dinner and the beautiful bottles without rushing us. And at the end of the meal we were able to chat with the very pleasant restaurant team.

J’ai été attiré par ce restaurant en voyant les photos de beaux plats sur instagram.Arrivé sur place rien ne ressemblait à la réalité.1h15 d’attente pour des pâtes dans la meule de parmesan et de la truffe. Ce plat était plus semblable à une soupe qu’à des pâtes à la truffe. Beaucoup trop de sauce liquide.. la serveuse était désagréable. Limite elle nous balançait les plats sur la table alors que la table d’à coté elle leur expliquer tout les plats..Prix exorbitant sachant que mon amie et moi n’avons rien mangé..Sur la notation vous ne méritez même pas une étoile mais obligatoire..Bref restaurant à fuir si vous avez faim et pas de temps a perdre !!!
