I really liked the environmental arena. I found it very amusing there and I didn't get bored. What bothered me a bit, however, is that the parking spaces are not so well labeled.

When we visited the sport fishing fair, we were able to experience and discover the easily accessible Umwelt Arena. The building is ecological, offers plenty of space and can be used variably. IMHO a very successful building!

We went to the Environmental Arena on Family Days. My children aged 2 and 8 found it very amusing. Lots to see. I actually still found the exhibition/advertising pieces interesting, although I could have done without them (I would rather have more interesting facts and “energy games”). Of course, the highlight was trying out the different vehicles. My little one also thought it was great to go along for the ride. There were hardly any Visitors which gave us the time to try everything out. I think it's nice that you can go in and out with the day ticket and don't have to pay again.

Many things were defective or not working at all. It's generally poorly maintained to nothing. Except for one person, the staff is very unfriendly and disinterested.

Excellent place to organize children's parties. Very good atmosphere and the children are happy with life and have a lot of fun. Very good scenery. Children under 6 years old do not pay admission and children under 12 years old must be accompanied by adults. It is closed on Mondays.

I recently visited Umweltarena Spreitenbach, and I must say I was quite disappointed with my experience. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, there were several issues that left me with a less than favorable impression of this venue. First and foremost, it felt like the entire exhibition was heavily influenced by energy providers, giving it a somewhat biased perspective on renewable energy. I was hoping for a more balanced and educational experience, but instead, it felt like a sponsored exhibition with a singular agenda. A more impartial presentation of renewable energy would have been appreciated. Additionally, the condition of the exhibition booths was subpar. Many of them appeared outdated and dusty, clearly lacking in proper maintenance. It was disheartening to see that numerous booths were not functioning, with out-of-order stickers placed on some of them. This greatly diminished the overall experience and left me feeling like I didn't get the full value for my visit. Another major concern I had was the lack of accessibility for disabled individuals. The presence of multiple stairs leading from the parking area is not accommodating for people with mobility challenges. This oversight is disappointing and should be addressed to ensure that the Umweltarena is truly inclusive for all visitors. In conclusion, while the staff's friendliness was a positive aspect of my visit, the issues I encountered regarding biased content, the poor condition of the exhibition booths, and the lack of accessibility left me with a less than satisfactory impression of Umweltarena Spreitenbach. I hope that these concerns can be addressed to improve the overall visitor experience in the future.

It was ok. Some exciting things to see. We also had fun on the lower floor with the bikes. Unfortunately some of the things we wanted to do that were cool were either out of order or defective. Don't be so cool. Just as feedback. Greetings

Good concept, yet many of the interactive activities were not working. On Sunday rainy day in November it was not too many people, which made it easy to walk around and enjoy. The Klima Restaurant was incredibly slow. Seemed well staffed but clearly inefficient set up. A buffet would make much more sense, instead of seated service. With two small kids waiting 25min for the waiter to come and take the order is not a good experience. In fact we left after 25min and 3 reminders, so it may have taken even longer.

Here again after years... unfortunately a bit disappointed about the many defective devices and exhibits... Whether it makes sense to present dairy cow farming as good just because BioSuisse and sponsored... unfortunately a few small examples stand out... But definitely worth a visit to create awareness at all. It was still fun.

I attended an event about gut health. It was very interesting and well organized. However, I was disappointed by the offer in the Klima restaurant. As the name suggests, the offer should also be climate-friendly, which is simply not possible with animal products. For me it just doesn't fit the concept :-)

We used a meeting room in the Environmental Arena during an event and it was very pleasant for everyone involved. Perfect infrastructure! The exhibition is also absolutely worth seeing and educational! Simply always worth a visit!

Was there with my grandchildren. They were thrilled, we spent a full 5 hours in the environmental arena. What did they like the most? Answer: everything was cool.

Everything is fine so far. Unfortunately, some of the exhibits' PCs were not working on August 10, 2023, which is a shame.

With the Famigros card as a family for 30.- entry, very good price! Beautiful and entertaining and interactive exhibition, although sometimes I felt like I was in an advertising program for Coop or Jumbo or Abb or Ikea!🤣 The vehicles are super cool, the time was rather tight at 20 minutes and at full capacity and there were only places for later timeslots, so we had to be patient. Otherwise super cool, even for smaller ones. For older children from around 2nd grade it is very informative, as there was a lot to read!

In my opinion, this is a place where companies (even very polluting companies) can engage in greenwashing. I find it worrying that these companies are offered this platform. For me there was also far too little information about the environment.

Very informative. The staff is friendly and gave us very good advice. We were lucky enough to try out both electric cars as demand was minimal. Our decision to buy an electric car was finalized after 5 minutes

Price-performance. I don't find the timing to be customer-friendly.

Visited the environmental arena this afternoon. When we wanted to visit the course we were told we had to get a number on the upper floor so that we could ride. When we got to this table there was no number for the whole day, neither for the bikes nor for the cars! This was very disappointing for our children as we paid the full entrance fee but couldn't even use the main attraction! There weren't many visitors but there were no more numbers and we weren't informed about them at the checkout. Very disappointing

Very little to do here. You pay a large entrance fee in order to get in, and then spend 10 minutes filling out forms in order to finally spend all of 10 minutes doing a few laps of a small track in maybe 2 different cars. The exhibits on the upper floors are done minimally, and don’t require more than 15-20 minutes to see. Overall, not worth a visit. Most telling of all was that it was almost dead empty on a rainy Saturday.

The environmental arena is informative and there are some opportunities for interaction. Unfortunately some things don't work because they are defective. A lot of things are sponsored by companies that work in the environmental technology industry - but that's ok. The UA is a private company. Contrary to other reports, our meal was good in the in-house restaurant. It must be clear to the dogmatists among the reviewers who are annoyed by meat offerings that we live in a free country where everyone eats what they want. What I find unfortunate is the one-sidedness of the information; I miss constructive information about nuclear energy in connection with the CO2 problem. Take your ticket with you otherwise you won't be able to test the electric vehicles.

Exciting and educational! Trying out the various vehicles was easy. And it was hard to get the children away from the football or car simulator!

This store doesn't even deserve 1 star. In the environmental arena, everything breaks down far too quickly and many devices cannot be operated. I was there and saw that a lot of things were broken and the employees grabbed a child by the arm because the child had broken a wooden board (accidentally). I wouldn't miss this store.

You don't even deserve 1 star. Everything in your environmental arena is fragile and some of it is already broken. My son was there with his class and accidentally touched a wooden sign (which was already broken) and it fell to the ground and broke apart. It can happen, but the fact that your unfriendly and incompetent staff tackled my son and insulted him that he had to pay for the sign (which had already been broken) is an absolute no-go. Shame on you..We will avoid this place in the future and definitely won't recommend it!!!

I think it's great that you can go to the environmental arena for free by handing in your old bike or smartphone as well as a button cell phone (broken or working)! But the building, which looked interesting from the outside, turned out to be not quite as exciting inside. The whole exhibition is more or less a commercial show for which you pay admission. Especially on the top floor, practically only advertising items for refrigerators, toilet systems or heaters are on display. Nevertheless, you were able to pick up a few facts worth knowing, but some facts are strongly influenced by the company that runs the stand. You also noticed how old all the stands were and how no one maintained them. The exhibition items are therefore worn, broken or dirty (see photos). In contrast to other reviews, I found the employees to be extremely friendly and competent! My highlight of the environmental arena was testing the electric vehicles, which went really well! All in all, the environmental arena didn't live up to my expectations and the normal entrance fee is way too high for what the arena offers. Unfortunately, in its current condition with the current exhibits, we cannot recommend it...

The place is huge and you can learn a lot of new things. However, I was shocked that the menu in the restaurant was so meat/fish-heavy when the exhibition repeatedly clearly communicated that this is one of the largest proportions of our CO2 emissions. It would be REALLY EXEMPLARY if the entire restaurant was vegan.

Very disappointing experience! It is rather questionable that companies like Holcim present and gloss over their concrete products in an "environmental arena", since concrete is often described as a climate killer! Real alternatives such as the unfairly "forgotten" building material clay are not on display at all, probably because clay is already climate-friendly and is not made so through greenwashing. What was also laughable was that the building material on display was wood and mahogany... and and and I wish I had an environmental arena that is serious about the environment!

Negative: You pay an entrance fee to go from advertising stand to advertising stand. All exhibits are already very worn. Positive: Free test drive in electric cars possible. The restaurant can be visited free of charge. Children still had fun.

Interesting workshop, but unsuitable for the students. Very friendly workshop leader, but he exposes some people. The toilet has been freshly cleaned but smells... The food is acceptable, but the chicken meat tastes like it is fried and is not chicken. The plus point is that everything is environmentally friendly and domestic. The parking solution is not that good. On the homepage it says that there are 500 parking spaces available in the car park, but only one floor is open and all cars are still directed into the garage even though there are no more free spaces. Various cars then simply drive in circles, even though nothing is free. Good organization!

Very boring trade fair about the environment. Hardly any interactions, overall concept inconsistent (capsule coffee in the restaurant, meat in the restaurant, etc.). Hardly something for children. The only highlight is the driving course on the ground floor for bicycles and electric vehicles.

We regularly hold seminars at UWA. Our participants think the location is very good and it offers good opportunities for entertainment during the breaks. The catering has increased dramatically thanks to the organization by Fida and Lia. We (the participants and organizers) really appreciate it and are now really enjoying the lunch menu!

Top fit for large parties and celebrations

This recession applies exclusively to the restaurant. 20.- CHF for pasta with tomato sauce. The price, way too expensive. If it had tasted that way, that would still be overlooked. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The pasta was overcooked and cold at the same time. The tomato sauce was bland and inedible. In short: just a nasty piece of cheek. I don't know how it is even possible to throw such a simple dish into such disarray. When we were then asked whether we liked our food and the majority said no, the staff just said: “Good” and walked away again. We were also made to clear our own dishes. The exhibition is partly very interesting, partly boring. Some things were too technical for me. Children can try out one thing or another or test their skills and knowledge by playing games. Unfortunately not everything worked and was probably defective. There's a lot to read and after a while you don't like it anymore. Only partially suitable for smaller children. More interactive posts would be great. A highlight was the vehicle course. The arena staff were very friendly. The restaurant is overpriced and the food is ok. The staff there is trying hard. An employee is on first name terms with the guests. Conclusion: Interesting topic, implemented thoroughly. Some exhibitors seem to put a bit of pressure on their products. It was nice to see it once, but we don't need more than one visit.

Still very interesting, the e scooters and e bikes that you could try out were now much fewer than there were 3 years ago, there were only a few now, but it's fine.

I don't usually make judgments and remain neutral in most cases, but what happened to me recently in the Environmental Arena surpasses many things in my 70 years of life. First of all, I can't understand the inventor of the Umwelt Arena at all, how someone could have such a strong, positive idea and then unfortunately let the facility rot and save money on their incompetent employees. I have also listened to other opinions from friends and they see black for the environmental arena, unfortunately. Greetings

Aging museum and no explanation in French! Many games don't work.

First of all, you address a person you don't know as you. As I notice, there is not only a lack of various problems in the arena that won't be solved for months, but also the personal characteristics of the employees. You only have to look at the photos of the previous speakers and you can see that the problems are not being solved but the full entrance fee is still being charged. The entire staff should be changed here, then the Umwelt Arena could flourish again.

It has a lot of super interesting information to the ones are interested in sustainability topics. You can try the bikes and cars and it is super cool. Info only available in German, consider this before your visit.

Nice exhibition. Trying out different vehicles is great. The children had a lot of fun and so did I. Well and clearly presented.

The arena is initially very interesting. It quickly becomes clear that there is a lot of “greenwashing” going on. Someone should explain to me what is sustainable about Ikea. It can't be necessary to change tables and beds every 5 years. Even concrete is washed green here. The main thing is that enough sponsors have been found. No, entry is not cheap despite massive sponsorship. We still had a nice Sunday outing and the kids had fun.

I imagined the UmweltArena differently. A lot of reading material, which becomes boring by the second exhibition. The individual exhibition halls are very simply furnished. Seems almost “cheap” at times. The halls 2nd and 3rd floor are interesting if you want to build a house. I also see an energy-efficient washing machine or coffee machine in Fust and get the same information. I will not visit this arena again. A lot of things were defective.

We were in the Environmental Arena with our children aged 6 and 8. The most exciting thing for them was of course the course with the various bikes and scooters... For us adults the course was even more exciting because we were also able to test electric propulsion devices. Otherwise, the upper area was a bit boring for the kids because they are still too small. You could also test drive real vehicles (cars), which is really great for someone who has never driven such a vehicle. Unfortunately, the restaurant is far too expensive... The arena is definitely recommended for families, children's birthday parties and school classes.

Disappointing experience all around... We visited the arena in October 2021. I will save some time to the person reading who do not speak German, do not waste your time there. There is not a single explanation in an other english, no French, Italian or even English. Quite astonishing for a museum that is brand new.... Even the "download the app" option on the phone does not have translations So it is simple impossible to get any insight. The arena is a museum but also a conference center. So if you happen to visit the day before after or during an event well be ready for the noise of all the machinery setting up the event. Be also aware that the track where kids can try on scooters and other vehicles will be moves to... The 2 Car park. You read me well... in a car park that is cold and well depressing... The reception spontaneously offered us a -50% on our next visit when we had bought the tickets. After experiencing all this I just asked for a full refund they gave me. It could be so much better...

The Umwelt Arena is a great place that we like to visit with our grandchildren. The children were very impressed by the tour and the homemade insect hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only thing we didn't like was the restaurant and we will avoid it in the future: unfriendly and not very organized. Maybe you had a bad day :-)

I think the environmental arena is good for people building or renovating a house. The 1st and 2nd floors show something about the environment. Unfortunately a lot to read. If you want to hear something, it is defective or headphones that are not cleaned. Very meager offerings in the restaurant and not environmentally friendly. (French fries). For a sandwich 15 minutes waiting time and Fr.8 is not very family friendly. Verkehrshaus or Technorama are much better.

It was really interesting, but the fact that you're showing a video from 2010 isn't very contemporary and the fact that some things don't work (e.g. a fan, a marble run and a lamp) is unfortunately disappointing.

I was quite shocked by the concept: 140 sponsors simply want to present themselves well here. I think it's completely okay to have an exhibition sponsored - but having the sponsors create the content is a total mistake. Instead of interesting and relevant content, there are simply disjointed stands that could be set up at any sales trade fair. You do find out what Swisscom and ABB are doing - but overarching facts or even social and political questions are not mentioned. So if someone wants to build a Minergie house themselves, they will get the information from the relevant companies. But if you want information about the current situation regarding heating, energy consumption, current developments in Switzerland and the world, you will die of thirst in this exhibition.

Love Environment Arena You are calling on people to eat less meat to protect the environment. But how consistent are you about it? The only thing their "climate" restaurant offers are chicken nuggets with fries and pasta with Bolognese... You come out of the exhibition and were encouraged to change something and do without it, but they don't even offer the opportunity to do that. Your Environmental Arena would be the perfect opportunity to introduce people to delicious vegan cuisine. As an environmentally conscious vegan, I had NO offer AT ALL! Very disappointing. It's 2021, time to stop sugarcoating everything and get active! Please change your offer! Environmentally friendly greetings

The arena is actually a large advertising hall for various companies. For what it is, it is quite expensive and cleanliness is not very important. Many exhibits are defective and are not maintained. It's interesting in a way, but not a must. The private parking space isn't cheap either, and after 4 hours it gets really expensive. We went there with family and that was it. It's a shame, the potential was there but the implementation wasn't successful.
