Uondas in Celerina/Schlarigna

I actually had no intention of stopping my hike for lunch at Uondas. However, the card really appealed to me and so I entered. The ambience is stylish and modern, but still expresses something "homely". I was immediately greeted by a friendly and attentive waitress and shown to a nice table. I ordered a small seasonal salad and a beetroot soup with apple pieces. Both tasted extremely good and were beautifully presented. The service was always attentive and prompt, but never intrusive. Next time I'm in the Engadine, I'll be happy to come back to Uondas.

Visited this restaurant with my boyfriend on a short vacation. We sat down in the garden in the pleasant sunshine. The restaurant is easy to reach with a manual or electric wheelchair or if you have walking difficulties. The service staff were friendly, well-groomed and competent. To satisfy our hunger we ordered a tarte flambée and a mixed salad. The salad dressing was homemade. Fresh ingredients are used. Cleanliness: The restaurant, table and toilet were clean. Ambiance cozy. We would be happy to come back.

Compared to before, it is no longer the same. It was extremely hot in the restaurant, the food came way too late and the service wasn't exactly great. My entrecôte was half fat... for this price you would expect a lot more. In the end we paid the wrong bill because the wrong one was brought to us. We only received an apology just in passing.

Amazing gerstensuppe and good flammkuchen. So happy that the restaurant was open in early December, while majority of places in the region were still closed before peak season!

Food was good, very expensive and unfortunately we and especially our 3 year old son had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The staff was very friendly except the boss - she was very very very unfriendly!! We're not coming anymore!!

Salad carelessly prepared from the bag with ready-made sauce - you can save yourself. The burger was okay, for CHF 39.- too expensive in my opinion. The espresso was simply undrinkable and was served cold, but cost around CHF 6.-. The ambience was rather dark with little light. I found the chairs uncomfortable. Probably intended so that guests don't stay seated for longer than two hours.

We were there for dinner. The new card is another significant improvement over the previous year. We had absolutely nothing to complain about. There was also a very professional yet casual service at its best. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent food, pity about the horrible service, after having had: aperitif, salad and a main course with wine and finally an espresso for a total of 106 fr and having asked to pay 115 fr (a more than generous tip in my opinion) the change we received was 30 fr, as if we had left a 14 fr tip. On checking the receipt, we noticed that 3 fr 'küche uondas offen' had also been charged. We asked to speak to the head of the room, who after nodding, left the room and never came back, probably to avoid having to explain. We had a beef Stroganoff and a Hirschpfeffer. The dishes were traditional, well prepared, the beef maybe not as tender as we expected. Overall a very satisfying dining experience.

Very good service but a lot of things left to review on the plate. The calf rating is excellent. But when we ask for truffle fries with the dish, we are served fries drizzled with truffle oil without 1 gram of real truffle. and all for 15CHF!! So we have a dish for 78CHF + 15CHF of fries without truffle. 93CHF for the dish is simply a scandal. When you pay 78CHF for meat, the minimum is to offer fries if there are no truffles on them. Brief addition: 130ChF for 2 Spritz, 1 glass of wine and 1 dish. Frankly, I was ready to skip the oil fries but the bill revolted me.

Let's start with the main course: the well-aged piece of veal was perfect and grilled just like that. The side dishes (parmigiana and alumettes) were worthy companions. We started with the Engadin Mezze - very tasty! And finally a sweet tarte flambée with homemade vanilla softice. That was a worthy ending. And by the way: The wine list is great and the service team is in a good mood, which is exactly how holidays can start.

The chef and the waitress are very friendly and accommodating. You can speak to the chef personally and ask him to design your own menu for your visit.

Since according to the menu there is smoked salmon on Thursday evening, we reserved a table and were really happy. When we arrived at 7 p.m., we were told that the salmon was already sold out. Even if “it’s so long” applies, it is absolutely unacceptable that salmon is no longer available an hour after the restaurant opens. To make matters worse, we mentioned when we made the reservation that we were coming for the salmon and we replied that it would certainly still be available at 7 p.m. Overall a very disappointing experience, what a shame!

Today we were there for dinner. We were the first guests when we arrived and even later the restaurant wasn't completely full. It took 20 minutes before we were able to order something and we lost our desire for an aperitif. The attention deficits continued throughout the evening. (no asking about the cooking level for the entercote, wine wasn't refilled, side dish was forgotten,...) In my opinion, a 45 minute wait between the starter and the main course is too much. Especially if the guests at the neighboring tables (who arrived later) had already had dessert or had paid. We had colleagues with us who recommended Uondas to us and they also noticed a significant loss in quality in terms of service and food. And if you look at the price level, exactly these points should be top. We will not recommend Uondas...

Das Essen im Restorant Uondas schmeckte hervorragend und das Kalbskotelette inklusive den Trüffel Pommes Allumates ist sehr empfehlenswert! Das Ambiente ist cool und die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend insbesondere wenn man nach preisgünstigen Bordeaux Trouvaillen Ausschau hält!

Wouhaouw!!!Du côté du personnel, on s’est senti comme des habitués qui viennent manger 3x par semaine, alors que c’était notre première!! Aux petits oignons! Avenants, cherche à savoir si on a besoin d’autre chose, se donne la peine de parler un très bon français! Bref, au top!!!!

Mis à part un tartare hyper trop salé et trop citronné en entrée et une cuisson de la viande pas du tout respectée (mais on nous a gentiment apporté une autre assiette), le reste était bon. Mention spéciale aux salades. Par contre, les accompagnements étaient présentés de façon peu appétissante dans l’assiette. Enfin, le service avait l’air d’être débordé à notre arrivée et on nous a un peu stressé au moment de prendre la commande.
