Venice Bar in Zürich

I was there with a friend on Good Friday March 29, 2024. We really liked the atmosphere. The service was very attentive and nice. I had a salmon tartare that tasted delicious. My friend had the fritto misto. Towards the end it was too mushy and unfortunately there was no salad or vegetables to choose from as a side dish. The music was great. Super good DJ. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Location very nice, but small. The food and cocktails were good but rather expensive, which wouldn't be a problem if the service was good, it was very unfriendly

I had the pleasure to celebrate my 30th birthday at Venice Bar. The atmosphere, drinks (especially cocktails) and food were fantastic and I have received a lot of praise from my guests. Everybody was absolutely in love with the location that overlooks Zürich‘s industrial area. I would 100% recommend Venice Bar for a great party!

Despite having a reservation (initially on the waiting list but then confirmed as a reservation), we were served very unfriendly and, with the excuse that everything was occupied, we were placed in a small, uncomfortable corner next to the bar, where we had to wait quite a long time for service. But when we left after 1.5 hours, there were still several tables available upstairs. A pity!

Amine was excellent! His customer service skills went above expectations. The food was so delicious, there was a party in my mouth.

Scam. Prices on the bill were higher vs. the menu. When we told the waiter about it, he said the prices on the menu were not up-to-date and the right prices were the ones on the bill. No apologies or no refund of the difference. Last time a similar situation happened to me, it was in Mexico, not in a bar pretending to be high-end and selling cocktails at 20/25CHF.

An atmospheric place for events.

Venice bar is a great place: good music, great atmosphere, tasty food and good selection of drinks. We spent a nice night with friends here and enjoyed each moment. The staff is friendly and since the welcome makes you feel at home, thanks to Amine and all the staff for their support in creating memories that will last!

Nice cocktails, limited but good bar food selection. Service is a little bit slow, however very kind. BUT, guys why you let somebody to smoke electric cigarette, poisoning health of other customers… Crazy this can happen in 2024. So the problem is: you let low IQ people in and you dont warn them, despite you see and smell the problem…

We went to the bar on a Saturday with a group of 12 people. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. The cocktails are okay and taste very good, but for 20-25Fr you can expect more. There weren't a few nuts or chips or anything else. The music got louder and louder, so it was no longer possible to have a good conversation. Although longer opening times are stated on the homepage, it suddenly closed at midnight. The lights came on and the music stopped. We then had to leave the restaurant. There are better places in Zurich.

Recommended. There were eight of us there yesterday. Amine, the waiter, was more than friendly and accommodating. Increasingly rare in Switzerland, but even nicer when someone puts their heart into their work. Cocktails and drinks are great, the food is very good, the location is casual and almost intimate because it's not so huge, and this is what makes it special. Reservation is definitely worth it! The only thing that isn't ideal is that the music could be a little quieter until the DJ comes ;) we'll definitely be back :)

Best ice in Zúrich! A bit overpriced, you pay 18chf for a glass of ice. It says it comes with a drink, but the drink is nearly not there. You have a whole glass of ice to enjoy.

A New Year's Eve at the Venice Bar that you won't forget! The welcome was so friendly that you immediately felt at home. The service was simply super nice and always with a smile. The atmosphere was fantastic throughout until the place really got going around 11 p.m. and yes, it got a little chaotic, but that's what made the evening really exciting. There was less room for dancing, but more for celebrating ! The food could perhaps be turned up a notch, especially for a gala dinner. Overall, definitely a successful start to the new year at the Venice Bar!

We attended the New Year's Eve event 23/24. The concept in and of itself is a creative idea. Unfortunately, the implementation was poor. There was no proper greeting or information about the evening's events regarding the show and food. The highly advertised 4-course dinner was by no means tasty (100% no tasting by the chef) and the drinks were watery, had a lot of ice and were sometimes cleared away from the table half full... Furthermore, the tensions or . the bad mood of the staff was very noticeable - which unfortunately contributed to the fact that you didn't really feel welcome as a guest. I can't say why this tension existed or what exactly it was - but when you enter the bar/event without a reception and then walk past, the first thing you're asked about is whether you even have a ticket (but then you don't). once checked) then this is not very inviting. One option would be; to have someone stand at the elevator who will then greet the guests properly, check the tickets, show them where the cloakroom is and then accompany them to the table. This reduces the number of guests milling around due to a lack of reception and leadership/structure. Last year there were similar reviews regarding New Year's Eve... It's a shame that no optimizations have taken place. It was an experience worth having, but I/we won't book there again in the future and won't visit the bar outside of special events. I still wish the team all the best.

A hidden oasis in the neighborhood, we just got the last available table on a Friday evening with a short-term reservation for the first occupancy at 9 p.m. Everything was beautifully organized, with a well-rehearsed and experienced service team, we were warmly welcomed and given good advice. The location is great. I knew the bar from before it became Venice bar. The prices of the cocktails are steep but still ok for Zurich if the service was good. Sorry but you can't charge 25 CHF for a cocktail without knowing the contents by heart. They are not normal cocktails but rather special ones that don't have common names. To the simple order, “I would like a lager beer,” the waiter replied that he didn’t know that. And when asked whether the whiskey sours have the same answer and then: there is only what is on the menu 🤪

They released our reservation in favor of a larger group and didn't inform us beforehand or only when we were there and offered us a bar table there in the hope that we would still eat there and spend money (which of course we didn't). I even received a reminder/confirmation of the reservation by email the day before. Absolutely bad and opportunistic organization. So much advertising on social media won't bring you sustainable customers if you treat potential guests like that.

We had reserved a table for 6 people for dinner long in advance. When we got there, the staff said they had spontaneously accepted a group and had therefore canceled our table. They tried to call, but no one picked up. We hadn't received a call and didn't want 6 stools at the bar. So we went back. Absolute no-go and super unprofessional. I'm sure the waiters are trying hard and doing a very good and strenuous job. However, the management has absolutely failed here.

What the website promises has been kept in full! Great ambience, super good cuisine - everything freshly produced and beautifully presented, very good and friendly service. We couldn't open the QR code from the menu, but the website also offers the menu.

Unfortunately we were lied to and kindly motivated from the side of the restaurant. Something like this shouldn't happen. He reserved the seats and pointed to a drink sign, even though nothing was written on it. When I pick up the sign in question to check whether it is reserved, the man resolutely takes the sign out of my hand. When we got up, he was accompanying a group of curious young people of 4 people. at this table even though they said they didn't have a reservation. The behavior was rude and disrespectful.

Quality is very poor But the amount is far too little.. Unfortunately, everyone was hungry afterward, which was a shame, because there was something to drink, but not so much to eat

Cool bar. Since there was an event in the other room, the service was a bit difficult at the beginning. But he was really nice and attentive. Food is great. The point deduction for food is for the complicated QR code card. The point deducted for the ambience is for the background noise and later the music that is a bit too loud. Good choice. We will be back.

We had some nice drinks: - Venetian fluff (picture 1) - Fusio Eis (Picture 2) - smoky rosemary negroni And some tapas - salmon in venice - salto elegante The drinks were really well made, very complex and tasty. The negroni was the only one in which we both felt could have use a liiiittle less bitters. The tapas were also delicious. On the “cons” side: The ambience was a bit on the down low… Music was on point at the beginning but was a bit too strong later on. The restroom didn’t have paper which wasn’t great. The prices are a little bit high, we paid around CHF100.- for three drinks and two tapas.

Very nice after work bar with a very good service, unfortunately the choice of bubbles is very limited, and in terms of food there is a lot of fried stuff, and little vegetarian options. There some room for improvement e.g. what if I am not hungry but still want something e.g. nuts, olives etc... Overall though I can recommend this place and would return

The service was great. Very friendly and authentic in a great atmosphere. We were lucky with the weather and with the window open we were able to really enjoy the sun, the delicious food and the drinks. Compliment. The recommended bruscettas and the rest are really recommended!

Catastrophe. From the service to the drinks, unsatisfactory. We spontaneously ended up in this bar one weekend where the service staff was absolutely overwhelmed. There was only 1 man working at the bar while the rest were on break. So we had to wait over 45 minutes for a cocktail. This tasted like water and was prepared very carelessly (not like in the pictures). The employee also answered us completely annoyed when we asked after half an hour when our drinks would come. Unfortunately, that's what happened to all the guests. There is also the exorbitant price of CHF 24 for a drink. This is excessively high even for Zurich!!

Visited on a Saturday evening, the location was amazing and considering how nice the spot is, it was quite empty. Drinks were on the pricier side but very nice. Overall had a great evening; ended up staying until closing, which is pretty late at 02:00. Will definitely be coming back.

We only had drinks so can’t comment on the food but we had a very good experience. I went with a friend and enjoyed my evening there:)

A bit disappointed. We saw this advertised as a fun Sunday brunch with live music and dance from 2PM. The place looks nice and fancy, the staff is also welcoming. The food looks very instagramable, taste-wise decent, overpriced, but I guess it goes hand in hand with the alternative chic look they're going for. Food options very limited, we had to go for pizza afterwards. Music and atmosphere was nothing as advertised. Recorded music playing and then randomly a guy with a saxophone will pop out and play a few notes along with the song and then disappear again. Obviously no one was dancing. Will probably not come back.
