Venus Bistro - Café - Restaurant - Bar in Zürich

The food is great. However, we tried to pay our 40 chf bill with a voucher for 65 chf. After accepting our voucher and waiting for 15 minutes we were informed that we would get no money back as the voucher could only be used in full - this is stated nowhere on their website or the voucher itself and feels almost illegal to me. Will not be eating here again except to get rid to my 65 chf voucher that I am stuck with after paying for my meal in cash.

The brunch experience was regrettably disappointing. The limited selection at an exorbitant price left us hungry. The flat white for 6.- turned out to be extremely small, and the service proved inflexible. Although the ambience is nice, this place lacks the appeal of being a preferred hangout spot. There are definitely many better alternatives in Oerlikon.

Everything here is perfect. From location to food to service and even music selection! Me and my girlfriends come at least once a month for the lovely menu and from time to time for lunch or brunch. Totally recommend!♥️

Cozy restaurant, the surprise menu was very tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. The food is local and seasonal, the menu included around 4 different dishes for the starter and main course and one dish for dessert. We also had several rounds of beer, wine and coffee with grappa. In the end we paid around 120 per head; The price-performance ratio for such a meal with the corresponding drinks is reasonable! Thank you very much and gladly again 🥳

We had the pleasure of celebrating our Christmas dinner at the Venus Bar in Oerlikon and it was a thoroughly successful evening. The start in the new cocktail bar was a real highlight. The selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks was impressive and every single drink was outstanding. Dinner was a culinary experience. The dishes were not only delicious and refined, but also varied and original. What was particularly impressive was the clear focus on regional and seasonal products, whose freshness and quality you could taste in every bite. Our special requests were also fulfilled without any problems. The service was always attentive and courteous. We felt very well looked after both in the restaurant and at the bar. The seating was a bit cramped, but that didn't detract from our group experience - on the contrary, it encouraged extensive and pleasant conversations. The highlight of the evening was definitely the main course, which was simply sensational. The wine selection was exquisite and the beer from Oerliker Bräu was a real pleasure. The dessert also deserves special praise, as it rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. The surprise menu was excellent value for money, especially with the many supplements for our large group. Another highlight was the coffee machine - a real advantage, moving away from fully automatic machines. All in all, the food was excellent, the service was first class and the atmosphere was very atmospheric. An all-round successful evening for our event. Many thanks to the entire Venus Bar team!

Would-be scene bar in Oerlikon. The prices are quite 4/5 moderate for Oerlike. In terms of quality, it’s not quite right yet. I still remember the barman. He was pretty unfriendly. The rest of the staff are even happier for it.

Sweet bistro. Coffee/cake was tasty. Unfortunately, I find that they have poor ventilation. My clothes smell strongly of food, as if I had been cooking in the kitchen. The toilet also smells very much like the kitchen...

If you're looking for fantastic service and food, this is the place for you. Very relaxed, nice atmosphere and the guys in the kitchen and in service are really great! We are happy to become regular customers here.

You can have a good time here! The menu is simple, the dishes have finesse! In addition to the beer from the Oerlikon brewery fresh from the tap, there are several cocktails on the program -> and leave nothing to be desired, from aperitifs to nightcaps. I'll come again and again and again 😁!

this saturday I came to Zürich for work and I stopped at this cafe for breakfast. the food was amazing and the service fantastic. The avocado toast with mushrooms was delicious. One of the most delicious toasts I've ever tasted. I highly recommend stopping by and giving it a try.

I can only confirm the many positive reports! Fine dining at a good price, nice staff. Not much choice, but everything is fresh. The rooms were a bit dark for me, especially the second room. Lounge corner by the window is cozy. All in all, a very pleasant visit, with a very good price/performance ratio. Not my last visit here.

Yesterday we were lucky enough to get the last table and indulge in the surprise menu: it was excellent. Various courses on the theme of "game", which are served in the middle and are prepared by yourself. Homemade from A to Z and cooked superbly. Despite the full restaurant, the team was very friendly and in a good mood. Try!

Wow, that was really good. A great concept with the “surprise menu” and all 8 dishes were completely convincing, both visually and in terms of taste. For example, the onion soup, I've never had a better one, or the minced meat balls, which tasted like Grosi's. We also really liked the fact that the plates weren't uniform, but just like at home when you have a lot of guests, everyone gets a different plate :-) Great. The service is relaxed, friendly and every dish is explained in detail. Unfortunately we didn't have that much time because we had to rush to a performance at Theater 11, but it was a great culinary experience. Thank you dear Venus team for this lovely evening.

What a lovely new spot in an interesting location! Superb service, relaxed atmosphere, fresh and delicious food. The quality of city centre bistros in the heart of Oerlikon. I have waited for such a place for years and intend to become a regular, so better make a reservation in advance.

I came here for a quick lunch during a busy work day. The food was good and healthy. The service was quick and friendly service. The menu is small, but that makes it good as each dish is thoughtfully created. I didn’t get to try out the teas, but the people next to me ordered them and they looked great! I would definitely come here again.

Oerlikon finally has a meeting place again that is worth going to. Lovingly renovated, comfortably furnished. Attentive, fast service with a lot of good humor. Good drink selection. Small, clear menu, but something for every taste. Top cuisine where regionality and freshness are not just on the table, but are lived. Every dish is a small work of art. After just a few weeks it had become something like my second living room.

Unique food! Very varied, far away from the 08/15. My tip: filo dough with antipasti and egg. Plus great drinks, nice staff, cool location, cool ambience and a wonderful garden. Always worth a visit!

Venus Bistro is a new & cool spot at Oerlikon. I came on the second day after opening. It is a restaurant with a simple but tasty menu with local products, very nice service and a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely come back soon. Dogs are very welcome there, which makes me extremely happy :)
