Veranda Arbon in Arbon

Very nice location, fine drinks and very tasty bagels.. keep it up!! Update May 6, 2023 Unfortunately, the service now leaves a lot to be desired... We've waited more than 15 minutes a few times and weren't served. Instead, the waiters chat with each other and don't care about the guests. If it's busy I expect a wait, but if there are only a few tables I don't want to wait that long. I hope that the team is made aware of this. Therefore unfortunately 2 stars deducted.. Update March 29, 2024 I was really looking forward to the season opening. Unfortunately. Once again we weren't served after more than 20 minutes, we got up and left like we had done 3 times before... The guests looked at us, only the staff didn't care at all (keep in mind that 3 waitresses were chatting at the counter at this point) sorry It's a shame, but I don't give myself anything like that anymore... Then there will probably be more money for the competition!!!

Che Leon is excellent for dining. It has changed hands for a long time. The food is fresh and tasty. Despite the high customer frequency, the employees are always friendly and well-positioned

Actually everything was wonderful until the billing came and the waitress preferred to take the money from the woman rather than from me, so I was very disappointed that I didn't accept being invited by her

We were soooo tired after a long walk and here we spent the final minutes of our Wanderung wonderfully.

Stopped in spontaneously and was served friendly at the place. RED WINE was too cold for me, but there are different tastes...very fine ambience!

Simply fantastic holiday feeling, you really feel like you're in the south, everything is great.... coffee / cake / drinks... and the service is extremely friendly and fast.. the only thing I'm deducting a star for is that the veranda sometimes depends on your mood When it opens, there are enough clouds and few guests, then it is immediately cleaned up and closed, especially in the afternoon

Very bad service, had to wait 20 minutes and still had no service. Rest. Which occupies about 20%.

Nice location but the young brunette who works as a waitress urgently needs training on how to deal with guests. When I met her, I greeted her so that she would pay attention to me. Then I asked for space for three guests and an umbrella for the bench. There were plenty of umbrellas, but she said they were all occupied. When she finally noticed that there were about 10 free umbrellas and in the meantime put off her other guests, who were already unhappy, by saying that I was looking for an umbrella, she just pointed out the free umbrellas to me and said “Yeah!” . I then asked if I should get the umbrella myself, to which she replied bluntly: “Yes, I’m bad at it now.” 😄 And she apparently couldn't ask a colleague to help either. Normally I would have positioned the umbrella straight away myself but in this case I left the bar and had some other fun.

Beautiful design (like a Cafe of an island 🙂🙂). Very nice place.I didn't like the chocolate cake (for my tastes it was too heavy with intense taste of eggs). Some of the waitresses was friendly, some just polite but not friendly.

Very nice place and pleasant. A seat cushion would only fit well on the wooden chairs. After a while it becomes uncomfortable to sit on. Otherwise everyone was very friendly and nice. Original place, it's a shame that it's only temporary.

It's great, nice service, cool drinks. The only drawback is that the lounge is very uncomfortable, as are the chairs! The loungers are absolutely amazing but very hot on the beach ☀️

Were here for the first time and were warmly welcomed and informed by the waitress named “Lisa”. The view is breathtaking and the waitresses are courteous, reliable and very nice. We'd love to come here and have a few beers again. Can only recommend it.

A nice bar/bistro in Arbon. Very friendly service. Great view of Lake Constance. The home-made iced tea is to be avoided. A beautiful ambience invites you to linger. There is a small parking lot right next to it.

Actually nicely located and stylishly furnished. Haven't been served for a very long time! When paying, the unfriendly service employee gave the wrong information. Corrected it (20.--!) and didn't apologize or thank you for the tip. Therefore I cannot recommend this place.

Dirty wine glass received; Rosé ordered with separate ice cubes: glass with ice received without spoon; I also had to order a special cooling container for rosé and wait a long time until it was brought; When alcohol is consumed in Switzerland it is common for nuts and olives to be served - here it is answered briefly and not very politely when asked... very bad at these prices

Very great location/bar...we were traveling by bike and discovered it spontaneously and because of the great exterior and the beautiful view, we took a break...the menu was great to read, unfortunately we didn't eat anything.. .but drank...friendly staff and very attentive...gladly again...

The veranda is officially open until 10 p.m., but we were informed at 9:30 p.m. that nothing more could be ordered and the last round was already over - we are disappointed and are now looking for a more flexible place 😉

Cozy... but still room for improvement

An interesting offer in Arbon, a town on Lake Constance in the style of taverns, like in Gdynia by the sea or Gdansk in Poland. . This has been missing for many years.
