VITO Klybeck in Basel

The pizzas are super good with quality products, they are very tasty and the quantities are generous. The value for money is excellent, we had a large whole pizza with a liter of homemade cold tea which cost us 19.- per person. Plus the cold tea was excellent. An address that I highly recommend if you are in Basel!

Great: Reserved for a birthday dinner for a good 20 people. They also had them in the system, but only for 4 people. We even called twice and increased the number of people. How can you understand four people? Then we had to move away again. This is exactly how you imagine a birthday. How can you mess this up like that? Not again, goodbye Vitos.

Abnormally unrewarding. We made reservations for 20+ people and arrived and there was no room for our gods. Vallah asked for compensation and gave yarak.

Vito, that wasn't a nice moment for you. The reservation was for 20 people, we called twice and the reservation was confirmed twice. When we were at your place there was a table for 4 people. This birthday without pizza for you was like the worst Hawaiian pizza in the world. There can be mistakes, but you handled this situation like you would a frozen pizza. We were left standing and there was no solution or accommodation. We had to leave without pizza but hungry. A pity.

Absolutely disappointing! We had made a reservation for a 20 person birthday party at Vito's Pizza and they completely forgot about it. When we arrived there was no room for us and the staff showed no insight or apology. They didn't even offer us adequate compensation. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful to their customers. Never again!

Very friendly staff and great pizza. The place has a feeling of a little bit of a rustical living space, but in a good and cozy way. The pizza is fantastic and freshly made right in front of your eyes, and every year they have a time limited event where you can buy an additional (symbolic) slize of pizza with your order, and the slice will be donated/forwarded to people in need.

Music and staff nice. Cappuccino needs foam and 6 euros for that small cup is ridicolously expensive. There definitely needs to be a price adjustment. Not happy to have wasted so much money

Cozy restaurant with wonderful pizza

This was my second time dining it at Vito in Klybeck, and just like the first time it was a really nice experience. The first time was with my brother: we were surprised by how tasty the pizza was, and this is coming from two Italians that have tried lots of pizza both in Italy and abroad. The dough is fantastic and flavorful, and the pizza is generously garnished. We had the option to wait in line to take away, or otherwise dine in if we wanted the bigger pizza, so we chose the latter. We did the same now with my friend yesterday. The choices of pizza are: a piece, a third, or entire pizza. The entire pizza obviously nets you more pizza, it occupies the entire people in length, and can further be divided to the following options for garnishing: single whole pizza, half vegan and half vegetarian (as example choice of what we did), or 1/3 of different garnish, giving three pieces with three different flavors. While we mostly stick to a single choice and just eat it whole, this allows for nice personalization and experiencing different pizza flavors, especially nice to divide with friends. Furthermore you get rucola, oil, salt, pepper and spicy oil to add to ensure you get the flavor you want, and can experiment with even more taste variation. While the vegan choice I wanted wasn’t available, the staff immediately offered to add a bit of variation onto the pizza choice left, which I really appreciated and turned into a great experience to try. This of course if the option to do so are available, depending on what ingredients and availability they are left with. The place is also with a good atmosphere, this time we ate in the front of the local, but the back is also very cozy and has a big table for friends along a few single ones that will be appreciated by couples. Overall really great experience, kind and friendly staff aware of dietary restrictions and making also vegans and vegetarians feel included in a world where this becomes the norm, and enjoyable atmosphere for a good price (about 25 CHF per person depending on choice). While I haven’t been to the other VITO places in Basel, I can absolutely recommend going in any of them even just to do take away and simply enjoy the pizza outside, you won’t regret it.

Bought a large 'Vito' - one meter pizza. Great toppings and American style huge crust. We were given the option to add parmesan, Rucola and oils (chili and/or truffle) which rounded up a great pizza experience.

The best pizza you can eat in Switzerland! Also 1A service and ambience. The prices are justified for the filling portions. The atmosphere is very pleasant as is the top service team.

The hype doesn't exist for nothing. The pizzas are excellent. Only the waiting times throughout the evening could possibly be reduced with a little more staff. Otherwise great!

I always look forward to eating pizza there. Especially since the pizza is homemade, there is a selection of vegan and non-vegan pizzas and especially the homemade iced tea 😋 The ambience and service is simply great! Perfect for an evening meal after work on Friday 👍🏻

Unfortunately the pizza was cold and service was arrogant.

For a half-service take-away pizza with a bit of "hipster flair", my visit to VITO was very pleasant. A great selection of pizzas that are then freshly baked - premium ingredients can then be configured. The absolute highlight was the incredibly great green leaf salad with wonderful house dressing, seeds and delicious melon cubes. Definitely a recommendation in Basel!

Sorry guys this is my first negative review .First time I tasted today Vito pizza at Klybeck🍕 with full of expectation , but unfortunately it is So salty . I don’t know why . I never go again. But friendly staff . But meal is the matter . Am I Right ?

The pizza was cold and dry. Unfortunately the service was very weak. I had the feeling that they just wanted to get rid of the pizzas at the counter instead of preparing them fresh. Very disappointing!

No more!!!! 80 fr for pizzas from the counter!! Since there was too much work for you to make fresh pizzas... "No, it's only possible by phone," said the (employee)

The restaurant is geographically located right on a main road, there is a construction site in front of the door, this construction site is noisy, there is not much space to sit in the shop, there is an area in the middle that is not particularly aesthetic, I think it is belongs to the kitchen. But per se you go there for the food, which was really great. The employee was friendly, the drink was really expensive. I deducted a star for the service because as a woman you always get smaller portions and less grated cheese on top. I've noticed this with several Vitos when you order with a man 🚹.

Don't miss this in Basel. Excellent pizza base. They offer parmesan and truffle oil on top. Love. Would definitely come again.

Very great atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and happy to have fun, even though it is often busy. Klybeck is by far my favorite Vito! I like the pizzas best and the vibe here is always great!

The advice was very bad, it was my first time there and a thin young man with a beard in service was very rude, rude and impatient, didn't even want to explain. The girl with short hair at the checkout didn't even say thank you for the order. I don't recommend it and won't be coming, terrible customer service!!

Delicious and fresh pizza, with a very cool takeaway concept. There are not only various pizzas in different sizes to take away, but also Negroni in sustainable glass screw-top jars. Perfect for taking everything with you to the Rhine (5 min walk).

Super tasty but the menu is always the same

Pizza is just ok, but for the price you pay is a little overrated. The last time I was there I kindly ask to the guy if I could have some rucola and some Parmigiano on the top. When I opened the box I saw literally 2 leaves of Rucola and 2 small slices of Parmigiano. I payed around 15 francs for only a slice of Margherita basically. I Don t recommend.

Really small and nice place with a familiar atmosphere, service is fast, after that we ordered, we received our meal in just few minutes.. Pizza is amazing, with fresh ingredients and the menù has really a good variety of product. Next time that I will be back in Basel, I will go again there for sure.

Seriously the best pizzas ever! The salad and desserts are also delicious. Their home made chili oil is amazing. Great prices and generous portion sizes. Staff is always super friendly.

Too much edge, which wouldn't be a problem if the dough (pre-rolled) by the machine would taste good. The Neapolitan pizzerias can do that better.

Great pizza, but unfortunately you wait a long time for service

The best pizza ever! Normally I don't like pizza crust, which is completely different with VITO. Fill the crust, dip it in oil, simply delicious. And the service, especially at Klybeck, makes every visit a wonderful experience. Friendly, competent and always concerned about the well-being of all guests.

Good as always but.. I had a better experience in another branch. It felt like, there was a lack of the delicious tomato sauce that makes the pizza so unique. Felt a bit dry unfortunately :( But I’ll visit again for sure :)

Pizza is only available in Vito. Everything else is an attempt to make pizza.

Two words about the service: slow and scheduled. Unfortunately! I think it's nice when you take your time with your guests and have small talk, but not when the line is meters long during lunchtime and you have to wait 20-30 minutes for a piece of pizza that just needs to be warmed up. The pizza has always tasted very good, but the last 2-3 times the dough was over-salted. After the pizza I was literally thirsty all day. Don't know if anything has changed in the recipe.
