VIU Hotel Villars in Ollon

Fantastic spot! The room is very spacious and super friendly for children! Today, they had the egg hunting in their premises and the kids got their Easter chocolate bag. We also have used quite a lot the facilities: 1/ restaurant horizon 1904 - we had dinner and the food is tasty! 2/ parking spot - we were able to charge on site 3/ breakfast: typical continental breakfast from cold dishes to warm dishes 4/ swimming pool - small and cozy so the kids had a great time Big thanks to Flo, Joel and Fonue for their hospitality and professional service! Happy Easter! Note: the only thing we would do next time is to book the room view towards the mountain. We had the view towards the street with the train rail sound.

We were pleasantly surprised by this establishment during our stay in Villars. The staff is very welcoming and efficient. The hotel is well located and the free parking spaces are appreciated. The room was very well equipped and very clean. The SPA is perfect after a day of skiing. Another good mention for lunch. We will come there again!!

We traveled to Villars for skiing and stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. We had a standard room with a mountain view. The room was very spacious, newly renovated and well equipped. The balcony offered a great view. You could also enjoy the mountain panorama from your bed. The hotel has a new spa area with two saunas, hammam and swimming pool with whirlpool and counter-swimming facility. There is also a well-equipped fitness area. You also have a view of the mountains from the spa. Really great for a 4 star hotel! In the hotel basement there is a state-of-the-art ski room with private, ventilated ski lockers. So everything is stored well and safely. Next to the ski room is a games room with table tennis, table football, darts and pool table. Very nice to end the day or as an alternative in bad weather. The breakfast was rich and good, but nothing special. With a few local delicacies or Chinese delicacies to match the hotel's Chinese restaurant, that would also be an experience. A big compliment also to the always friendly and helpful staff. We have very fond memories of the hotel and are happy to recommend it to others.

Let's start with the rooms; the strong points are the view, the cleanliness, and the calm. The checking is rather quick and well done… The weak points: the disastrous bedding (especially for tall people), only 1 pillow per person. It deserves more 3 stars than 4 in view of the equipment and the aging decor. PS; no mini bar in the rooms. Restaurant ; be patient ; we arrived at 8 p.m.… the order taking was disastrous; the waiter who accompanies us to our table gives us the menus, we take 2 bottles of water directly… 25 minutes later still no water or waiter, I had to ask a waitress myself to take the order : 2 spring rolls and 4 ravioli arrived at 8:40 p.m.… then another 35 minutes of waiting, the orders finally arrived…. Without the accompaniments of Peking duck... we're going to bring that to us... cold (the crepes). Results 135 chf for a meal that will leave you hungry. The service is slow, the food expensive for what it is, the decor... the first room is very beautiful, the 2nd looks like an all-you-can-eat buffet. A previously unattractive supplement that hides the breakfast buffet... nothing special in this restaurant. The spa; is very very well done, but don't go there in the morning it is not working (Hammam). For the price paid we are very very disappointed with the services offered

A very nice discovery in Villars sur Ollon. The hotel is ideally located in the city center opposite the train station. As its name suggests, you will appreciate the magnificent view of the Alps and the originality of the decoration combining Switzerland and China. Don't miss the hotel's Chinese restaurant, simply an asset! Special mention for the staff, very professional, available and very very friendly. Clearly for me the best hotel in Villars sur Ollon! I will return there with pleasure.
