Awesome little tapas place in Bern. Great service, delicious food. We had to wait a little bit for a table to open up but still had fun standing at the bar. We went in the winter but they have a great looking outdoor section which I'm sure would be fun in the summer!

Great tapas spot! It was packed when we went at 7pm on a Tuesday. Had a drink and some starter tapas at the standing bar while waiting for a table to open up - was about 20-25 min. Worth the wait. They served the best pisco sour I've had! Not too sweet or sour, with a thick foam - better than those I had in Chile. For food, the pulpo a la plancha and chorizo in sherry were definitely winners! And ask for the spicy sauce they offer for the patatas bravas.

Super tasty pumpkin puree with shepherd's cheese, albeit a very small portion (tapas). Nice location and the rest of the map looked promising too. Unfortunately, I didn't find the service very attentive, the cashier was constantly joking around with her colleague while I was paying and I didn't feel comfortable.

One of my favorite in the old town of Bern. I was impressed by the variety of cocktails. I ordered a Pisco Sour and it tastes similar to the Chilean ones (I noticed they use Chilean Pisco).

For Swiss standards the price quality ratio is very very good in my opinion! We came back for lunch after an evening meal. We only had vegetarian options, but every tapas was so tasty and a little extra. Tip: order the sangria also. Atmosphere is also very good.

Very nice and cozy bar. We visited it for breakfast and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is free WiFi too, which comes handy if you are not Swiss and you need Internet as soon as you arrive in the city centre.

The tapas are excellent, notably the couscous, the focaccia, the croquettas, the chili cheese & honey plate... The service is young, efficient and very friendly. The prices are quite high but the quality is there!

We had dinner without a reservation in this restaurant in the historic center. Cozy, with the possibility of being able to stay both inside and outside due to the presence of tables. Friendly and helpful staff.. Paper menu. We opted for a platter with different tapas and patatas bravas. Truly delicious! Highly recommended!

A charming place in the capital of Switzerland, excellent food, excellent service..... place to visit and return.

The only downside was the salt..both the squid and the patatas bravas were a bit too salty. The aioli sauce was genius. Good Aperol and decent prices.

I tried Spanish food for the first time here and I absolutely loved it. The people who work here are very nice and friendly. I was able to get a English menu card from them as well. The food is slightly more expensive but definitely worth it in my opinion.

Cozy small-scale tapas place in a beautiful location. The food and menu are well put together. The service explains everything well and you can choose between a vegetarian and meat menu if you choose the 2p, 3p or 4person tapas. You can also choose all your tapas yourself or opt for a meat/vegetable recipe You also don't pay the top prize here! It is advisable to arrive a little earlier than dinner time, otherwise the beautiful spots outside are already occupied.

Good tapas, great wine, relaxed atmosphere.

Situated on a corner of Rathausplatz, Volver has a commanding view of the Berner Rathaus, the Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul, and the Vennerbrunnen fountain. Service was delightful, and the food was delicious. An evening dinner outside, while the bells marked the time and the street lights came on, was the perfect leisurely end to a day of travel and sightseeing. Whether you are hungry enough to eat a hat, or just in the mood for a small snack, Volver is an ideal spot to relax and dine in atmospheric luxury.

Great for tapas. Fast service and friendly staff. The toilets are very modern and clean. If you want to drink the wine glass in the sun on the town hall steps, this is no problem.

The Restaurant offers Spanish food, but what we ate did not have the essence of Spain. I live in Spain and the worst place I have eaten has been better than this place. I do not recommend it. It is an attempt at Spanish food.

Cool location in the middle of the old town. At least in the winter it is a bit chilly inside. However, with the delicious sangria and the excellent tapas, you will quickly warm up (your heart). Price-performance is absolutely right.

Great tapas and beautiful location in the old part of the city. The food was very nice, we shared the tapas para dos and it was delicious. Especially the thai soup was amazong. It was quite busy that‘s why we started to eat outside and pnce a table was free we were able to sit inside. The surrounding is really nice and I can really recommend it. For the tapas para dosc two coffees, two teas and two desserts we paid CHF 80.- which I think is not inexpensive but considering the great service, location and the freshly prepared food quite reasonable. I will definitely viait again.

The place and the atmosphere were beautiful, only the attention of one of the staff girls was quite strange, without going into details she left a little to be desired regarding the attention; However, the food is delicious and the drinks are the same. Since my girlfriend from Spain and I travel there several times a year, I know good Spanish food. Unfortunately, this is not the case in this restaurant, especially the tarte de abuela looks sad and is never served like this in Spain.

Pleasant ambience, but charging 3.- for a glass of tap water (without telling/intimating that it costs that much) and 9.- for a tiny, warmed piece of tortilla (it tasted mediocre at best) is completely incomprehensible and just plain cheeky.

The Volver is a very cozy bar with good background music. An ideal bar for a small snack, alcoholic drinks or just a good coffee. Sometimes the staff is a bit stressed, which is no wonder with so many guests who have to be handled in pairs. This gives the whole thing a family touch. The employees are very familiar with the wine selection and provide excellent advice. I can recommend this bar to everyone!

A good selection of tasty bites. Very nicely presented. The eyes and the palate get their money's worth. And they're not even that high. The service is very courteous and flexible. Only the coffee wasn't to our taste, too bitter. We will be back.

Difficult to find a seat... which in itself is a form of de facto recognition by the good attendance index. One of the advantages is that it is a slightly quieter passage than in the main parallel street. The croquetas are good and hot.. the presentation and the staff are friendly.. The quality/price ratio is quite good (for Switzerland and regarding the capital of Switzerland Like ice skating..Nothing is perfect so the rating could be 4++++

We went to eat at this restaurant that makes Spanish food. As a Spaniard, I don't feel identified with the food and let me explain, without any intention of offending: Nobody serves in Spanish, it was not a problem because they spoke English, however I think that if it is a Spanish restaurant, they should speak it. The cooks, none of them were Spanish, they looked like they were Indians or Panistanis, what does that mean? As I assumed before ordering anything, the food was going to come very spicy and so it was, the food was super spicy and you should know that Spanish food is not spiced, or at least not the majority and if it is spiced, the least. Tortilla... the tortilla they serve is not an tortilla, it is a strange thing with many flavors and again very spicy. If you want to make Spanish food and give it a unique touch, that's fine, it can be done... but at least have something Spanish and least of all something that represents Spain as much as potato omelette. The empanada... I don't know what kind of dough it had, it looked like puff pastry and again, too much curry and too many other spices. The only thing passable is the meatballs, since they allow for many variations and you can make the sauce however you want, although they are also very spicy. I give three stars for the friendliness of the waitresses only, but don't include Spanish food because practically nothing was Spanish, the most Spanish thing I saw were the Colacao boats. It makes me sad that the Swiss go to this "Spanish" restaurant, try that omelette and think that it is something typical because it is not, the same as the empanada. About the prices... Nothing surprises me since Switzerland in general is expensive, but they seemed a bit expensive for the quantity, since they are much smaller than the tapas in Spain. It is constructive criticism, it is not meant to harm, if you want to improve and really give the Spanish touch that Spanish food deserves, go ahead, although you will probably ignore this review.
