Wälchli Bäckerei-Konditorei-Confiserie GmbH in Rothrist

Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly in recent years. Some products are quite good and others are really bad compared to other bakeries. Unfortunately almost everywhere there is only Wälchli. Yesterday I bought a small Easter cake for 4.50!!! So I'm wondering how such a price comes about! I bought it anyway because I wanted to know if it was worth the incredibly high price and I have to say, NO! I wanted one with raisins and there were exactly 2 in it, but there was way too much jam on the bottom. I definitely won't buy anything again often. The service, whether Rothrist, Strengelback or Zofingen, is pretty unfriendly across the board. A pity!

The baked goods and sandwiches are very tasty, but the service on Monday (1 p.m., lady had a middle part and her gray hair tied in a braid) was very RUDE. When asked what I would like, I ordered a chicken sandwich, while she was picking it out, I told her that I would like another sausage sandwich. Completely outraged and with a disrespectful tone, she said that she couldn't do everything at the same time. My order wasn't anything out of the ordinary that would lead to being overwhelmed. And unfortunately the sound still makes the music. If you had said that in a friendly way I would have completely understood, but not like that. That's why I won't visit this branch again.

I was in the café in Strengelbach today. Very disappointed, no menu left and all menus sold out at 12:15! Ordered a large Birchermüesli, which was good, plus a coffee double cream afterwards. There was also a “Schlumbi” (mini-Merique) made from celophane foil. In Wälchli's advertising it says "Desserthaus", so why isn't it even enough for a Christmas cookie from the Bachstube during Advent?? I've enjoyed coming here every week for lunch for years and plan to continue to do so, but in the same form as before please!

Very nice service. Unfortunately the bun was covered in jelly. Old, cold and with Maggi flavor - difficult to enjoy! I'd rather have fresh sandwiches - I'd be happy to wait 10 minutes for that. The furnishings could be more modern.

I bought two dinners through the Too Good To Go app. For the CHF 9.80 I paid, I received a lot of things that tasted very good. I will come back and can highly recommend you and this app.

I've been shopping there for years, although I don't do it as often anymore because I'm moving to another canton, but sometimes I go there specifically because the friendliness of the staff and the quality and taste of the baked goods are absolutely top.

I used to be a good customer. Unfortunately I don't go often anymore because the products are often there for a long time and are not fresh.

We bought two rolls and were served unfriendly. When we got home we discovered that the rolls were rock hard, they must have been at least two days old. I prefer to buy in the supermarket, cheaper and in organic quality.

Great quality and good service. The prices are high but commensurate with the performance. I think it's too expensive for everyday bread, but I highly recommend it for souvenirs, an aperitif or a snack at work.

Ham croissants and wienerli in dough with mustard are not my thing. Otherwise they have fine goods, sandwiches, lemon cake or Berliners, for example, very good!
