The restaurant is very spacious and the food is very good. The staff is sometimes a bit slow, but even after waiting half an hour they still make an effort and take care of you. Because the restaurant is in a prime location, it can be a bit crowded at times.

Delicious food and nice service

We have known and appreciated the Walliserstube for decades. The good cuisine and professional, always friendly staff keep us coming back. Today we experienced disappointment for the first time: The newly designed Caesar salad is a disaster. On a huge plate we found a modest amount of leafy iceberg lettuce, soaked in a bland yogurt sauce, very little parmesan and individual small pieces of chicken. In contrast, the beef burger and the fish crispy with salad tasted very good with a new sauce flavored with jam.

Oh well. Service was ok, it was also busy. Food wasn't good. Bolognese was bland and cold, there was far too little schnitzel and fries on the plate for this price. In my opinion, Nüssler salad was not washed. Salad dressing very mustardy. All in all, it's more of a tourist restaurant with very expensive, mediocre food and all at very high prices. Don't come back

Was super friendly with local staff.

We were there to eat, the terrace was wonderful with lots of sun and a wonderful view of the village and the surrounding area. The fitness plate with crunchy toothpaste was very good. Good price-performance ratio.

In my opinion, if you are not able to publish your adjusted opening hours on the internet and on your website, you should not own a hotel/restaurant. If the food is the same and the service as well as the communication regarding opening times, I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Not to professionally communicate its changed operating hours, instead it says it's still open on the website and on Google. I would not recommend anyone to visit this company

We had excellent dinner here 👌🏻 Groomed restaurant with nice and fast service and excellent food. We were here in autumn to eat wild from the seasonal menu.

As always, we sat nicely in the sun and took a relaxing break on the terrace. Great service even for little things. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect for après ski, located directly on the slopes and also worth a visit in summer. Dogs are also allowed! The furnishings are very rustic, dark and a bit old, but they fit in well with Valais!

Food as always very good. I come to Bettmeralp every year. A visit to the Walliserstube is always a must! Very friendly service. I'm happy to wait a little longer at lunchtime because there's a lot going on. After all, I also have vacation and time. Always my pleasure. TOP..!

Great food!!! Great staff I have enjoyed eating there every winter for 15 years. Child friendly. Great atmosphere!!!!! Unfortunately it's just a bit expensive otherwise I would go for more. The kitchen doesn't open until 11:30, which means you can't eat a coupe before then. It's a shame so only 2 stars

The Stuba Burger is highly recommended. Great, friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere on the terrace was like a living room. We felt very comfortable with Baby, who was given a great vegetable plate (without salt) and the food was very tasty!

Actually a solid bank but the cheese slice was almost inedible (cheese baked for too long and fried egg more than dry).

Unfortunately, apart from the wine, our visit wasn't particularly exciting. The staff was nice, but not really accommodating. There were 3 pieces of bread for two mixed salads that weren't really lovingly prepared, the food didn't come at the same time and when we cleared it away we didn't even ask how it tasted. It tasted okay, nothing more or less. Better go to the Lusa, the Alpina or the Panorama (great, funny waiter!). They are recommended.

The cheese slices with onions are a culinary delight

Wir haben in der Walliserstube gut gegessen und der Service war freundlich. Zu bemengeln gibt es, dass, beim Gemüseteller relativ wenig verschiedene Gemüse hatte. Bei Entrecôte gab es nichts auszusetzen. Preis Leistung absolut ok, gerne wieder

Das Essen, einmal Wallisser Stubengrill: Schweinesteak mit Tomaten, Speck und Käse überbacken, Risotto und mit knackigen Salaten garniert und einmal Käseschnitte mit Ei, Schinken und Zwiebeln war sehr lecker, die Salate wirklich frisch und knackig, das Schweinesteak zart und die Käseschnitte pikant. Die Portionen waren recht gross und der Preis dafür war angemessen, wenn man noch die schöne Lage in den Bergen auf der Terrasse einbezieht, sogar preisgünstig. Der Service war sehr freundlich und die Wartezeiten in Anbetracht der vielen Gäste nicht zu lange.

Very friendly staff, good food, price is right.

Das war leider nichts. Die Schnitzel vom Mittagsmenue waren pampig und nicht knusprig gebraten. Die Älplermaggaronen schmeckten nicht besonders und die Nudeln waren total verkocht. Das Personal war von freundlich bis unhöflich alles. Für uns keine gute Erfahrung.

Unfortunately that was nothing. The schnitzels from the lunch menu were soggy and not crispy. The Älplermaggarones didn't taste particularly good and the noodles were totally overcooked. The staff was everything from friendly to rude. Not a good experience for us.

Arrivés par hasard ( toute une histoire ... ) dans cet établissement avec mon épouse pour un repas du soir, ce fût une belle surprise. Très amical service par une dame d'un certain âge mais bien plus vive que bien des jeunes opérant dans la même fonction par ailleurs et surtout possédant la faculté de s'exprimer en plusieurs langues, un plus pour ce coin de pays, et repas servi par la cuisine de très bon aloi ( p.ex. pour les non-végétariens : du bison ! ). À recommandé. Retournés le lendemain dans le journée pour un verre sur la terrasse et constat similaire.

Sind enttäuscht worden vom Essen.Hatten einen grünen Salat der eher braun aussah.Eine Spätzlepfanne das eher eine Suppe ähnelt...Der Hauptgang war ok.Doch die Vorspeise wurde nicht abgereümt, erst am Schluss und los war nicht wircklich viel.Die Speisekarte dürfte meiner Meinung nach kleiner sein.Manchmal ist weniger mehr.Service ist anständig doch nicht wirklich Motiwiert!Schade drum

Stopped there after the hike. Operation, service and food were great. Price performance is right for Switzerland. I can easily recommend this room after my visit today (07/23/20).

Die Lage ist schon fast alles. Das Essen ist normaler Standart, nichts spezielles. Die Bedienung schrecklich. Das Besteck wurde auf einem Haufen hingelegt, die Weinflasche ebenfalls. Es wurde nicht eingeschenkt und nie einen Blickkontakt. kein „ein guete oder Prost“. Nach Verlangen der Zahlung wurde die Wuittung kommentarlos hingelegt. Nach 10 Minuten warten haben wir einen weiteren Angestellten gefragt, ob wir endlich bezahlen können. Die Meinung war: ist nicht sein Sektor, er hat selber viel Arbeit und ging dann einen leeren Tisch abräumen.

Die Walliserstube liegt ideal an der Ski Piste unweit der Bettmerhornbahn. Schöne Sonnenterasse und Essen welches ok bis gut ist. Immer freundliche und meistens speditive Bedienung. In der Aletscharena, welche leider nicht viele guten Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten bietet, eines der besten Restaurants.

The Walliser Stube's best days are behind it. Prices are excessive, quality is not right for this price. Top location and rustic but also outdated interior. For us, the Walliser Stube has an emotional value. It's ok for an aperitif on the sun terrace or a portion of raclette in the evening, but unfortunately nothing more. This location could stand out with a little innovation and zeitgeist. The concept stopped in the 70s.

Unfortunately we didn't eat well on Friday evening and unfortunately it wasn't good again on Saturday lunchtime... but very friendly staff.

Very unfriendly and special service. Generally rather dark, unfriendly and uncomfortable atmosphere. With the Aletsch and the Bettmerhof there are worlds better restaurants next door.

Despite the hut being full, the service was very friendly and calm. Good fries.

The cheese slices and hash browns were good. Nothing more and nothing less... but given the prices you can expect that the food will be served at the same time and not plate by plate 10 minutes apart...

We had to wait a long time for the unfriendly service to come to us so that we could order our food. In addition, there were several linguistic misunderstandings and an incorrect order. I cannot recommend the restaurant.
