Decent arancini. Big disappointment: 95% only bread and no contents!!!

We tried several dishes and the zucchini parmigiana was our favorite. Very kind staff. We will be back soon :)

Although I come from Sicily and I have eaten tens and tens of Arancini, the ones by zio Pippo are delicious, light and stick to the traditional recipe. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I will come back. I would say the arancini need to be slightly hotter and the shop would be a bit more welcoming with some chairs. Great experience overall!

Large restaurant offering southern Italian cuisine to take away. I tried the Sorrento gnocchi, very dry; the curly farfalle, old and tasted of artificial flavourings, the focaccia and croquettes also very disappointing. The spinach arancino was okay. Unfriendly staff and high prices for the quality offered. I will not return.

The cannoli are authentic, spectacular! Everything else... alas peacefully (sadly) negligible, yet even just the cannoli deserves a visit!

Mom's caponata is superb.... This evening my daughter and I went to get arancini and fried pizza from Uncle Pippo. I let myself be tempted by the caponata made by the owner's mother, which was really, really good even cold.

The quality of the dishes is truly poor and mediocre (of which half of the products are frozen), not even with who knows what flavors on the palate, fried foods that are soft in the bite, prices too high for the quality offered. I would recommend making the fried dishes when the customer arrives so that you can then feel the crunchiness of the food and the hot dishes. Furthermore, write the prices (per weight or per piece) clearly and in large numbers and not that you decide on some product prices at the moment just because you have to sell them, otherwise you will only create confusion... Really disappointing...Sicily is anything but...

Very satisfied with the quality but also with the kindness of the staff!!!!

I went in for a very quick lunch, enticed by the arancini displayed in the window. The lady who served me, very kind (the only reason why I give it two stars), shows me the 10chf menu which includes 2 arancini, drink and cannoli. Excited by the offer, I accept. He warms up my arancini in the microwave and prepares a mini cannoli for me to take away. All inedible! The arancini were raw, the mozzarella inside was still in whole, cold pieces, while the cannoli, in addition to the smell of spoiled oil, also smelled of something spoiled. I hope that at least the dishes of the day are better... I haven't tried them, but anyway I won't go back there again

Very tasty pizzas and many Italian specialties. There are also many desserts to choose from. Great for takeaway and then eating by the lake afterwards. I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

I bought 4 large cannolis. They cost a lot but were excellent, freshly stuffed, garnished and served with care. The arancini (arancine?) are also excellent, not greasy, not too big. Pleasant discovery. I advise

We see... Lasagne finished at 12.25pm, parmigiana burnt... But the highlight was the "chicken cutlet" which is a cordon bleu like the one in the supermarket... Be a little more precise in describing the dishes, so at least someone knows what they are ordering. Would this be Sicilian cuisine? But shame on you.

Despite the delicious appearance of the food, the quality does not meet expectations. I have tried their proposals several times but I don't think I will return. Sin !

Unfortunately the flavors of Sicily are different who knows them.... And as a Sicilian I won't go back there anymore because I took the iris and the dough was rubber then the real arancini have saffron but here it wasn't there and the rice was too raw and the breading not at all crunchy... finally they gave me 3 almond pastes but the almond paste is not hard but soft which melts when it is in the mouth and they are all made up of almonds here the percentage of almond was the 30%... I will never set foot there again... I won't put zero because it's not possible

Poor quality of food and lack of customer friendliness on the part of the sales assistant

Terrible! Ordered takeaway, the food arrived totally cold... if it had been good once heated in the oven I would have turned a blind eye, the lasagne a downpour without rhyme or reason, the arancini identical to those found at the Manor, but for obvious reasons I expected better.

At the beginning it was excellent, then unfortunately something changed. Especially talking about pizzas, mini pizzas and panzerotti, the quality has dropped a lot! First the dough was fabulous: golden, salty, crunchy... the filling with lots of sauce and real mozzarella. Now the dough is decidedly less good; soggy, sweet (it looks like panbrioche) and the mozzarella is a fake cheese like thin slices... SORRY. Definitely an economical choice... The rest is good but nothing special. Friendly staff but too hasty and messy!

Unfortunately I have to change my assessment, it could be the take away that is missing in Lugano, but unfortunately it isn't... You never know what you can order, from day to day certain products are available, others are not. It almost seems like they are saying no to reselling what is already ready. The pizzas that were initially so good have disappeared, replaced by a focaccia that would also be good, if it weren't for the fact that all the ingredients are left cold (after cooking) and the mozzarella base is just melted and not "golden". The really annoying thing, however, is the owner with his way of doing things... He doesn't listen to the customer, he always puts pressure on the type of order, he always tries to make you take ready-made products in a very insistent and heavy-handed way. I'm sorry to say it, but it's an attitude that really doesn't work, I remember that in Lugano, contact with the customer is the most important thing of all. It's really a shame because they're really good at rotisserie, desserts and imported products, but if we don't aim to improve customer service and make the menu a little more stable (we need to maintain a base of standard products that can never be missing) within a short while time you will have a very bad reputation.

Best arancine ever, it seems like to be in Sicily

a disaster... Worse than actually staying in Sicily... I order online, expected delivery in 25min. Already knowing that it was an impossible time, but justified by the fact that it was Saturday. After 1.5 hours I decide to call to ask for clarification of where my order was, the answer: We're messed up in 10 minutes... Without even apologizing. but oh well. after two and a half hours I hear the phone ringing telling me I'm down here but I can't find the bell... obviously it went the wrong way, so to make matters worse I still had to wait 10 minutes, total waiting 3 hours and 15 minutes. .. obviously the food arrived all cold and mixed with cold desserts and hot foods, all delivered inside a fashionable bag that had absolutely nothing to do with it. I forget that I'm still waiting for an apology and a refund at the very least... The Arancini are good... But let's leave the catering to those who are capable.

Opened relatively recently. Clean and well laid out place. I tried the Pizza and the Arancini, good and well made. 5 stars for now and I hope to confirm later.

I came across it by chance while I was working and grabbed an arancino: what can I say, it was like being catapulted to Enna, my mother's hometown! Very good and the staff is very nice and kind! Come by often as they always have good things and now during Christmas there are also many nice promotions!!

Finally a true Sicilian in Lugano! Thank you! We've tried everything, from arancini to pizza, and the quality is truly exceptional! Compliments! Excellent cannoli, with delicious ricotta...Everything seems homemade. Excellent panzerotti! And last but not least, the owner is very nice and helpful. Well done! You will be very successful!

I went this morning out of curiosity, I tried an arancino and I must say that they taste like rice, anything you want but not arancino, the arancino is a whole other thing, the people who write the reviews have never been in Sicily. Dirty place, no one knows what hygiene is (dust and cobwebs everywhere). Lack of typical (Sicilian) products, terrible management. Etc .................................
