After a long walk, we stopped by for an aperitif and took a break. The service is very friendly and extremely quick with the service. We would love to stop by again, even for a meal.

We made a short stop on our bike tour and enjoyed a very delicious tarte flambée. This was excellently created and a real pleasure. The beer took a little getting used to, I would have to give it a second chance. I suspect there was some soap left in my glass, which would explain the taste. It can happen. We'd love to come back.

Amazing food but unfortunately staff was unfriendly. They were polite in the beginning but when I accidentally ordered something (told her right away when it came and did not eat it) she told me it was my fault and that I had to still pay for it and take it. Since I am a guest in another country and I only know slight german I of course paid and did not cause a scene. Still I considered it very rude and feel like I was scammed because I spoke english.

It was such a lovely evening. Friendly, fast, tasty. Then a walk along the Reuss. Simply perfect 👍👍👍

Unfortunately there has been a change here. This place is no longer suitable for coupes, as you have even more choice at a gas station. Very imagination going on.

Friendly and authentic restaurant

Despite the garden not being full, the service team was quite overwhelmed. We didn't get any bread with the salad, despite repeated requests. We were totally disappointed with the field webel salad. For a whopping 17.90 you can get boring leaf salads. You have to look for the apple pieces, blueberries, pepperoni pieces and thin carrot slices. When you think of a house salad, you imagine something different. The portion and performance at this price are completely unjustified. It's a shame, because the garden would be nice.

There is a big parking area in front of the restaurant. Service personnell including the chef himself are friendly and pleasant. However, prices for the food are too high for what you get. My hot-stone meat was greasy and my girlfried's 'flammkuchen' tastet like a cheesy pizza margheritta. No reasonably priced lunch menues available. It's definitively easy to find better places in the region...

If you enter "Gasthütte Zoll Huus" with their room rental in Google map, this link comes up which apparently only affects their restaurant. Wow! They make a huge mess with their online business links, websites and so on... until they can no longer figure out which objects or businesses customer inquiries are about. But the customer always seems to be to blame here. After 14 years of traveling around the world, I have experienced a lot and the most outrageous feedback and weakest online appearances actually come from my own "highly developed" home country. In most countries they briefly apologize for the poor customer experience and that they are trying to improve. Weak counterarguments are of no use with so many 1-star reviews anyway. It's best not to say anything. Life go on and take it easy or such is life :-)

Terrible service, rude and they don't know how to talk nice to people. They try to find an excuse instead to improve there service. If there would be only some few bad ratings then you cannot take them seriously but there are so many complaints and this business owner try to find weak arguments. Better not talk and all the positiv reviews are anyway not representativ because of these a days many business owners write there own 5 star rating reviews. For this business owner it seems to be easier to find the mistakes by the customers and especially to blame them instead to find the mistakes by themself. Rude manner and attitude.......Your salary is paid by the customers which many of them you made angry and they will never return same me.

The deposit for the room is not refunded even though everything was fine, and if 300 CHF saves the owner's life, he should keep it. The rooms and bathrooms are a disaster... an ordinary dive, it's not worth paying 800 CHF for a bed in the room! People renting rooms are ignored at every step when reporting defects or non-functionality of everyday items. They take the money and they wash their hands of the rest and keep the deposits for themselves! I did not receive the rental agreement even after 6 weeks when I needed it to deal with official matters! A person who is a boor and is both the cook and the owner's errand person is only suitable for collecting rental fees. I do not recommend it. If you are so poor that you can't return the deposit, give me your account number and I will transfer a few francs so that you don't die of hunger. Paluch Grzegorz

The brunch buffet is richly filled with fresh, home-made products. A delight for the eyes and the palate.

The place is a disaster, the boss is a boor and the rest is a waste, and it's better to take the room, report it to the police and go to the hotel voluntarily.

It is magically rustic and pleasant. The brunch is great. Just like at home, the selection is so large that we have to go back to try everything out. The staff and the boss were very nice. We'd love to go there again.

historic house with a beautiful garden. We were able to enjoy a super fine, varied brunch buffet with lots of homemade bread, plaited bread and much more. Staff very friendly, well positioned, competent and helpful. It's a real shame that the restaurant will be closing soon.

Mess!!! Despite having space, we were turned away, even customers wanted to give us a seat, the boss waved us away, saying other people were coming. Very unfriendly boss, he showed no interest in serving us. This juice shop is really not recommended.

Always a cozy place. When the weather is nice outside there is also a pleasant atmosphere inside.

Well shaded restaurant garden with lots of umbrellas. Parking possible right beside the restaurant. The Cordon Bleu was tasty, my husband's potatoe wedges too, I stole one or two of his plate. But then again one wonders: Why do the grilled vegetables taste so disappointingly bland and somewhat mildly watery? I am a enthusiastic meat eater, but I also appreciate veggies and salads and want them to be treated as a worthy participant on plate and palate. The service was friendly, but not over attentive. We had to ask three times for the dessert menu after they have kept us already waiting for being able to order the main course. We didn't have a waiter/a waitress serving us through the whole visit, but we had three or four people circling around the tables - obviously not knowing who has has attended which table. Not very efficient neither very personal.

We were guests at the Zollhuus on a Sunday lunchtime. It was busy but we were still greeted very friendly and shown to the table. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was extremely tasty and sufficient. We would love to come back to the Zollhuus. Thanks Freddy! 👍😁

I can only recommend the Zollhaus. They make all the drinks themselves. The chicken in the carcass is very well made and is beautifully presented.

Wir waren nach dem Sonntags Spaziergang auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant mit durchgehend warmer Küche. Fanden dies in Hüneberg Restaurant Zollhaus wo wir nicht enttäuscht wurden. Speziell ist das Restaurant dekoriert und wir fühlten uns wohl. Das Essen war lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Immer wieder gerne

We wanted to go out for dinner on September 21st, according to the Internet (Google) the restaurant was open. When we got there there was a sign in front of the entrance saying the restaurant was closed. A pity.

Sehr freundlicher Service, wenn uns auch zu Beginn nicht ganz klar war wer bedient. Die Aelpler Magronen, originell im Rahmchübeli serviert, waren sehr gut und die Portionen gross. Hundefreundlich. Ein Spaziergang der Reuss entlang (liegt gleich daneben) bietet sich an.

Das Zoll-Huus ist der perfekte Stopp für die Fahrradtour. Ein schöner Biergarten mit viel Leben und tolle Bewirtung. Wir kamen zum Biertest und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei und auch die angebotenen Speisen passten dazu: zünftig mit wehrschafter Portion für den Rest der Tour. Wir würden jetzt sicher nicht für einen Gourmetabend hinfahren aber auch sonst war die Karte sehr einladend und sicher noch einmal einen Besuch wert. Service anfangs freundlich und flott aber nachher wohl etwas erschöpft vom Hochbetrieb. Irgendwann kam niemand mehr.
