Zur Hofstube in Luzern

Last night my wife had a delicious dinner here. On a local's recommendation, we both had the hackbraten meatloaf and my wife also had the winter salad. Cozy dining room, which definitely had a feel of an old structure (which it is). Our thanks to the cooks and our friendly server Mariya.

Nice menu, ok food at tourist prices, poor service (mixed up order, forgotten food items after the order, no patience for any questions, highly irritated if you point out their mistakes, etc)

Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The food was plentiful and high quality, well seasoned and very tasty. Price/performance very reasonable for Swiss standards. My absolute recommendation 👌🏻👍🏻

Very small plates at overpriced prices

Flexible hostess / server asked the kitchen if they would make a big plate of Rosti with cheese and an egg on top. Good beer and wine. Wife had a sausage which was excellent. Great view of the important Leodegar church which included the occasional bells ringing. Excellent location, a little off the beaten touristy track which is a good thing

There isn't much choice and the only thing I like costs 50 francs, in short, too expensive and not enough choice.

Good freshly tapped beer, efficient, friendly service, pretty facade in front of an impressive church front.

Zur Hofstede. This is a restaurant that sells a full range of food from appetizers, classics, main menus, and desserts. In the morning you can order breakfast with a variety of pastries or croissants, then lunch or dinner here you can choose to sit inside or on the terrace outdoor. For appetizers, there are 5 kinds of salads plus a mini Tartar Steak and Rebstock plate. Next, you can choose the main menu with sausage, steak or try classic Swiss food, such as Strips of Veal, Zurich style. Still not full and want to taste something else please you can order pastries and cakes and for drinks, you can order a variety of typical Sorbet and a selection of wines from various countries.
