The staff was really very friendly. The food was super delicious 😋. You can really say that the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. We were very satisfied and will definitely eat there again.

We had dinner here on January 26th, 2024 at the Restaurant zur Salzwaage in Stäfa, it is absolutely recommended, we had a great evening, very well eaten, good service, very good wine recommendation and at an absolutely great price-performance ratio, the duck menu's are unbeatable!

My husband and I were invited to Salzwaage for a birthday dinner two years ago. At that time we had a very good impression of the restaurant, good food, friendly service. Today we thought we would go there to eat, but unfortunately we had very bad experiences. We were there at 5:50 p.m. and ordered both a starter and a main course. At 7:00 p.m. we finished eating and ordered take away. The take away still hadn't arrived by 7:30 p.m., no one asked us why we only ate at the table, no request for dessert, coffee... the boss came at 7:35 p.m. and said we should order earlier, but we already ordered from a waitress 35 minutes ago. The food wasn't prepared until 7:35 p.m. Not even an apology. The take away finally arrived at 7:50 p.m. We are very disappointed and will never go again. We paid for the meal, but unfortunately we felt completely poorly served.

On Sunday the seven of us ate a wonderful Asian table buffet. 7 different dishes (meat and vegi, kotu roti), each seasoned differently, great. The aperitif platter and wine selection were equally fine. Very hospitable and courteous service and boss, even though we made a reservation at 8:30 but couldn't arrive until 9:30... Gladly again 😊

Curry buffet every Thursday evening is great for curry lovers. We always go there. The dishes from the menu are fresh and prepared and each is a delight.

No matter which dish I chose from the menu, it tasted wonderful. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable. I was particularly impressed by the variety and quality of the food. The menu offers an exquisite selection of dishes that are carefully prepared and made with high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a treat for the senses! The drinks selection was also impressive, with a variety of fine wines and refreshing cocktails. Although I have already visited a few restaurants in Stäfa, I can say with certainty that Restaurant Salzwaage exceeded my expectations. Supper menu very good. Service very friendly

We were there for lunch, chose delicious things from the menu and then the boss came: A la carte wouldn't be back until 1 p.m. unless we weren't that hungry and could wait... Sorry, but then you're not allowed to have the menu distribute and then there would have to be more than 1 daily menu. We had ordered nuggets with fries for the kids, which they wanted to make and serve in advance so that the kids could eat - the nuggets were the last thing on the table. We weren't asked for coffee or dessert and had to ask three times to pay

Very tasty food, super friendly, fast and warm service (from the staff) and a nice ambience! The owner herself could be a bit more customer-oriented/friendly/warm.

Unfortunately it didn't come close to meeting expectations. The waiting times were sometimes considerable - 40 minutes until the soup was served and then another 30 until the buffet opened is simply too much. Unfortunately, the staff is more focused on self-promotion than on good service. I still had the glass of my aperitif in front of me at the end of the evening. Unfortunately, the rooms are far too narrow for a buffet operation. But the saving anchor is definitely the kitchen! Even though the dishes at the buffet unfortunately got cold very quickly, they still tasted very good!

At Salzwaage you can enjoy excellent, authentic Malaysian food. The dishes come to the table in generously filled bowls and are easy to share with your table companions, as is usual in Malaysia. The service is extremely friendly, competent and helpful. You feel comfortable in the historical ambience and are happy about the culinary delights and the hospitality. We'd love to come back.

I ordered the Ayamhijan Curry. I asked the waitress if it was spicy. It's not spicy. I mentioned again that I can't stand it. I was told it wasn't spicy. I then took 2 spoonfuls and my mouth started to burn. My partner also tried it and said yes it is spicy. They then gave me a small bowl of cream to refine the sauce. The fact is now we had to pay for it and I suffered all night. I've already been asked if I wanted something new but then I probably would have had to pay for both. A curry can actually not be spicy. This exists in many places.

We spontaneously celebrated New Year's Eve there and it was carefree and super nice! Neither of us drink alcohol, but that was readily accepted and alternatives were offered. We felt very comfortable as the service was also very nice and attentive. We'll be back soon!

Very nice atmosphere and a welcoming ambience. The service is attentive and courteous. I really enjoyed the food, we had duck with orange sauce and some with honey mustard sauce. Really enjoyed our first visit. Very well cooked, transports you to Asia. We had a spicy Malaysian curry and a fruity curry, both served with Basmati rice. Quality was excellent, and portions are generous. We could take some home. It was a pleasant stay on the small terrace, with friendly staff. We shall return.

We had the Szechuan style giant prawns with basmati rice. The prawns are nice and fresh and have a “crunchy” bite. The chicken with yellow curry sauce was also top notch. Service is efficient and very friendly. The food is diverse and tasty. The portions are enormous but containers are provided to take leftovers home. Prices are very reasonable. With good weather one can sit outside on the terrace.
