A great place for small gigs and big stars. The host couple are incredibly concerned about the well-being of the guests and the musicians. We all hope that there will be more concerts and events again after Corona!

We spent the afternoon/evening here on New Year's Eve. Great menu with local products and a large selection of drinks, especially lots of good wine. The service was organized, attentive and well organized. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Despite it being New Year's Eve, the Engel was not overcrowded and we had a great table. A visit to Urnäsch is always worth it, as is a visit to Engel. We'll be back - not just on the next old New Year's Eve.

At the beginning of January 2024 I sent a reservation request. On February 23rd I politely asked about the status of the reservation. The lady on the phone took my name and cell phone number and promised that someone would get in touch immediately. Unfortunately, I have not received any response to date. So I'll probably go to Caminada instead.

Last Sunday we made our way across the Schwägalp to Gais in heavy snow and slippery roads. We invited my mother to lunch at Truube in Gais for her 93rd birthday. We were greeted very friendly and taken straight to the chef's table, from where we could enjoy a clear view of the kitchen through a large recess. We would like to thank you very much for this great experience and the unique hospitality. Our self-composed multi-course menu was simply fantastic, both visually and culinary-wise. Every plate is a work of art and everything in a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere and totally prepared and attentive employees. We really appreciated it and were really happy that Ms. Manser came to our table several times for a conversation - and that with a full house. A magnificent ambience, wonderful food and warm hospitality were a perfect setting for my dear mother's birthday celebration.
