We actually know the business well. We've been there several times because of the friendly Thais who work there, but not because of the boss there, who showed up several times during every visit and always wore his Auensteiner SV trainer and always just complained to the kitchen employees. It seems like he either has 7 of these tracksuits or he wears the same one every day. If you pay with a card and give a tip for the nice kitchen staff, he keeps it for himself. Which is why we always pay in cash. Good work and kindness should be rewarded, not the grumpy owner. Today was definitely the last visit. He came down several times and screamed. Treated his employees inhumanely, as if they were slaves. This before our eyes in his small restaurant without any consideration for the guests. Since we ordered a fish dish, they said it could take at least 30 minutes because it still had to be defrosted and there was only 1 fish there anyway. The drinks fridge was also empty rather than full. Well, we wouldn't have cared about the waiting time. After an hour of waiting we had drinks and spring rolls, which were freshly made the same day. These were delicious. But we had to watch as several portions of orders via Mondogusto were prepared and picked up and we were left with no food. The driver from Mondogusto woke up a second time and didn't believe that we still hadn't received anything. From time to time the owner goes upstairs, probably to watch TV. Then came downstairs when another takeaway orderer appeared. He was asked by the kitchen staff about the level of spiciness. This is not on the receipt. He again yelled at his employees if they knew one portion was spicy and one wasn't. They remained frightened in silence until they replied that it was clear and the buyer also confirmed this. Then the scandal. The Swiss owner in the trainer went into the kitchen and grabbed a variety of foods from vegetables to meat from the deep fryer etc. with his unwashed Füddli fingers and probably thought he was now a wok master. Simmering there. Until I announced that my taste experience was coming to an end and that we wanted to pay for what we had consumed and leave. Because regulations regarding cuisine and gastronomy seem a foreign concept to this person. He also didn't have the decency to look you in the eye nor the courage as a restaurant owner to resolve the situation professionally. He was probably happy that we wanted to go. Final conclusion: we feel very sorry for the Thais in this company, because they are warm and the food they prepare is generally good. The boss of the store was a total failure. The place is very small and one of the tables there is used by him as an office or, more likely, a mess of letters. His employees are scared and a little overwhelmed by his slave driving style. Menu cards were greasy and so was the table in front of the kitchen where the takeaway food was filled. I don't want to know the number of germs. Finally, Mr. Hediger should admit to you that he is totally unsuitable for this type of business.
