Very pretty decor. We travel as soon as we step through the door. Excellent food and lovely staff. Here we eat with our fingers and it’s a great experience.

A particular experience that I would repeat several times. I recommend trying the honey mead as an aperitif... how good

Restaurant in Neuchâtel 🇨🇭 A bit expensive for what they offer but generally the restaurants offers different tastes if you want to try a new type of cuisine.

This is a very welcoming restaurant. For those who like spicy specialties, you will be served! Here, hands replace knives and forks. This immerses us in another culture and it is by far not disturbing. The atmosphere is calm, friendly and relaxing. The background music is well managed with the theme respected and the volume very well adapted. We don't necessarily realize it, but it's important. The chairs are comfortable and the spacing between the tables is ample. The dark light gives a rather romantic look. The waitresses show great sympathy. They are professional, attentive and understandable when they present their superb Ethiopian specialties. They will not hesitate to offer you arrangements in the menus if there is any aversion to a food. The dishes are excellent and reasonably priced! And you will see, there is plenty to eat... For drinks, I recommend the Ethiopian beers which are surprising in a positive way, the non-alcoholic beer is also very good. There is also homemade cold tea which has great taste. If you want to go to a restaurant that is out of the ordinary and which will introduce you to a new culture, this is a great opportunity so as not to be disappointed.

Everything is good, the service is good, the servers are warm and welcoming. I don't know if we can eat with services normally we eat with our fingers. I highly recommend for an unforgettable experience!

the waitress was not very cheerful and didn't even say good evening. she obviously didn't understand my order but when I repeated she just said “yes yes” and didn't bring the xe that I asked for.. the food is really very good, but really a shame not to be able to communicate.. slightly expensive but no worries given the quality! to test

A little cold surroundings. Jovial but very slow service even though there were only 4 tables including ours. Waiting for dishes also very long. The dishes are very spicy but a good discovery. Prices and quantities are correct.

We left everything... the taste of the meat hidden by the huge quantity of salt, the samboussa starters 1 tiny piece per person... The dessert, brownies which were probably bought at prodega. And unfortunately also note the service, 20 minutes to bring us the card and 35 for the entrance. Sorry but I won't go back to this restaurant again.

Fantastic place, very original and authentic. So much fun to eat with hands and a new experience. Food was prepared quickly, the portions were big, everyone was super friendly and nice.

Very nice discovery, which I can only recommend if you want typical and very good cuisine which is a change from the meals found on every street corner in the region. The service was very pleasant, professional and friendly. Special mention to the baklavas which were a pure delight! We will definitely come back!

Was in Neuchatal for a dahy, and really like the place actually. The interior perhaps needs some refurbishmenet, but the food is really great and authentic and they cater for vegans/vegetarians as we are, which was nice! We had a delicious wholesome meal and everyone was very friendly! The coffee perhaps is not worth it (they just give you french cafee) but the teas are really well great and its nice thats its is something different! Paid 62/2 persons, which was perfect for a meal and drinks.

Good Ethiopian food in neuchâtel.

Nous sommes venu pour un repas un vendredi soir. Le protocole COVID est très bien suivi et pas trop envahissant. Très bons plats, épicé, mais juste ce qu'il faut. Le ragoût de bœuf assaisonné était un délice avec les galettes, la salade et tous les accompagnements que nous avions. L'émincé de poulet cuits à l’étouffée aux épices était aussi excellent.Le thé maison est parfait pour accompagner ces plats.Merci à vous, je reviendrai avec plaisir

Une cuisine éthiopienne en ville l’idée est géniale ! Cela diffère vraiment de ce qu’on a l’habitude il y a un plat au centre et on partage tout en prenant des ingrédients dans des crêpes. En plus d’être bon ça remplit l’estomac à raz bord. Pour dire, nous étions 3 gars et nous n’avons même pas fini. Je n’y irais pas tous les jours mais l’expérience entre pote est sublime. Le petit downside est le temps d’attente de plus d’une heure avant d’avoir le plat ce qui est non négligeable mais pour l’expérience offerte si vous avez le temps et de bons amis avec qui vous voulez partager un repas c’est un restaurant que je vous recommande fortement ~

Dieses Restaurant hat uns von Anfang bis Schluss vollumfänglich überzeugt. Die traditionellen Sambussas waren so lecker, dass wir uns auf die Hauptspeise noch mehr gefreut haben. Die grosse Platte mit allen Spezialitäten aus Äthiopien war ausserordentlich gut und der fermentierte äthiopische Taj (ein Likör) war super. Zum Dessert gab es einen warmen Brownie und warme Baklava und dazu äthiopischen Kaffee. 2 Daumen hoch 👍🏽👍🏾

Wow! Absolutely amazing. We lived in Addis Ababa for six years and can confidently say this is the best Ethiopian food outside Ethiopia. Try the mushroom wot.... a great combination of flavors. We will back many times.

Essen war sehr gut, glutenfrei ost Kein problem, sehr freundlich. C'etais très bon... sans gluten, même le brownie... très sympa.

Très déçue... pratiquement aucun choix. C'est un buffet à volonté mais il n'y a que deux plats possibles avec trois accompagnements...

The place is really nice, well decorated and the staff was really friendly. We took the degustation meal and it was really good despite the fact I was expecting more discoveries in terms of tastes. But ultimately, we spent a good time there and I would recommend it !

J’y suis déjà allée plusieurs fois . J’y suis retournée avec une amie végétalienne . Nous avons pris le menu dégustation végétarien . Je me passe facilement de viande et j’avais déjà mangé le menu dégustation à la viande .Le végétarien est plein de saveurs . Les crêpes sont très bonnes et permettent de manger avec les mains .Très peu de personnes dans la salle pour un jeudi soir .L’apéritif avec le gingembre, la mangue et je goyave est très bon.Personnel souriant et attentif à nos besoins . Service rapide . Un dépaysement gustatif.

Nice interesting ethnic restaurant in Neuchatel. Gracefully and carefully prepared Abyssinian dishes. The different plates are only lightly spicy (even the one advised as spicy) and the flavour is very good. Very satisfying to eat with the fingers as usual! Also nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very good beer from Sorghum ( brewed in CH though)

Très bonne expérience avec la cuisine éthiopienne

Restaurant découvert grâce au passeport gourmand. Nous avons goûté le menu dégustation... quel plaisir de manger avec les mains ! Tout est délicieusement épicé, les mets sont servis dans un messob, et les crêpes faites à partir de farine de teff servent de couverts. La notion de partage est donc incroyable ! Très dépaysant et convivialité exceptionnelle !

Les + : - Lieu très charmant - la nourriture est excellente - service hyper sympathique aussi - prix sympa aussi Les - : - La salle semble trop grande pour le service et la cuisine, nous avons attendu un samedi soir 1h pour recevoir quelque chose à manger. (surtout pour un plat que l'on peut préparer en grande quantité à l'avance, que 90% de la salle prend) ... - nous avons reçus la table spéciale passeport gourmand, cachée dans un coin, sous les porte-manteaux, alors que d'autres tables pour 2 bien plus jolies étaient encore libres à ce moment là. (ma demande pour une autre table était restée lettre morte malheureusement) - les accompagnements sont plutôt basiques, j'ai déjà vu plus élaboré dans d'autres restaurants éthiopiens) - j'attendais de manger le Kitfo comme présenté sur la carte, mais de Tartare Éthiopien il n'y avait pas. PS : Ne prenez pas à volonté à part si vous avez VRAIMENT très faim.

Gutes Essen....leider lange Wartezeit.

Le personnel est sympa, le lieu est joli, le service est rapide et courtois.Les samoussas sont très bon (attention a la sauce elle pique), les viandes sont très bien cuisinées et le Brownie au chocolat est une tuerie.Néanmoins, la crêpe, pour la prise des aliments, n'est pas a mon goût (beaucoup trop citronnée et gâche les saveurs) ils seraient bien d'avoir une alternative pour ceux que ce goût dérange. Du coup j'ai pas pu manger a ma faim car manger de la viande en sauce avec uniquement ces doigts c'est pas facile..... Et payer 43.- le repas complet pour manger que quelques morceaux de viandes cela fait cher....
