Family welcome in this Ethiopian restaurant which, in my opinion, is one of the best in Geneva, if not the best.

Very tasty food in Geneva, with vegetarian/vegan option. We ordered the vegetarian mixed plate and a dish with chicken. There were very spicy, slightly spicy but also very mild dishes. We really liked the ambience, nice interior design. We had to ask specifically for cutlery, but otherwise you can also eat traditionally with your hands. Neither problem.

Delicious discovery for a first! I recommend with your eyes closed. Whether for the kindness of the service or for the flavors (be careful to be very spicy according to taste!)

More than an hour of waiting and our dish is still not served!

We experienced welcoming service (with good English knowledge), tasty food and local Ethiopian wine at the Addis Abeba with a good price-performance-ratio. We tried the mixed plate for 2 (50 Swiss francs) and liked everything, the sauce in the middle was somewhat spicy so you might want to order it less spicy (if possible) if you’re not used to it.

The best Eritrean restaurant in Geneva. Why? They are always open, the food is consistently great, the service is great, it is has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, and the prices are excellent. For over five years I have tried every Eritrean and Ethiopian restaurant in Geneva. Addis Abeba is the best. Gazelle d’or comes in second.

This place was wonderful, the best Ethiopian or Eritrean cuisine since Assab closed in San Francisco (and I've been to a dozen since then). The flavors were intense, there was actual spice (especially difficult to find while I've been traveling in Europe), and the portions were generous. I left full and satisfied. If I had to offer any criticisms, I'd have loved if the menu degustation offered lentils - I'd have given up one of the meats for that (just not the doro wat or kitfo, my favorites).

Lovely place, warm atmosphere, excellent food, woot originally done with whole eggs. Don’t think of it much, just go!

I’ve been traveling throughout Europe for the summer and was feeling a little homesick so I decided to eat some injera to feel at home. I’m so happy I found this place, customer service is spectacular and the food was AMAZING. I felt like I was eating my moms cooking. The owner was so kind and sweet. I’ll definitely be back when I visit again! We ordered the Doro Wot and Awaze Tibs and paid a little under 60 Swiss franks for two people with enough left overs for dinner, too — HIGHLY recommend!

Extremely tasty food! :) I had the vegetarian meal for one person. It's a platter with five different items in it, along with five pieces of Injera bread. The weather was good and I sat outside. All in all it was a great experience!

One of the best Ethiopean restaurants that I've been to. The atmosphere is quite and homely, the staff are friendly and welcoming. We had a big group of seven people, and were accommodated without a problem, despite a busy time in the restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. The bread is a bit sour for my taste, but that's a matter of preference.

Excellent place to eat typical Ethiopian dishes and drink the famous Tagus wine made with honey from Ethiopia. The waiters and owners are super friendly and will even show you traditional Ethiopian dances.

First time eating Ethiopian food. It was delicious here, and the serving was huge. I ordered some beef entree and my bro ordered a lamb one, and both were very good. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. Worth a look if you’re opting for something different, esp. if you’re from small town America like me.

I’ve never eaten Ethiopian food and was up to try this for a late lunch when everything else was closed. Have been meaning to try it and this is a great first spot to try! Every single small dish on top of the sourdough bread is so tasty, and yummy. I was alone and it’s definitely a cuisine to eat with many or at least more then one! Lol please come and support the locally owned business and adorably kind people that run it!

After a long hiatus, I was looking forward to finally having Ethiopian food at my favorite Ethiopian restaurant. Overall, the level of service seemed to have dwindled. I waited for an hour for the food, one small usual request that I normally make was forgotten and the sauce was so salty I struggled to finish my food. Shortly after I left the restaurant, I did not feel so well, although I cannot ascertain that it is attributable to the food I had just eaten.

We all have our bad hair day so even restaurants have their too much salt days or some spices have taken the day off days. If you want to eat good Ethiopian food go to Addis Ababa Redtaurant in Geneva. The owners are very nice and very present, ready to satisfy all guest and by proposing individual options, offering appreciation drinks, tea and sincerly discussing and getting to know all guest. Everytime i go thry remember my favorite dish snd propose it, problem is, everything is do good that i usually like to change snd try everythimg. By the way, if you like to eat raw meat (interesting experience, feel like a lion for an hour) call the day before and ask for Tire siga, and they will buy for you the best meat ever and prepare it so you can have an a real savage experience to share with ppl you know. Or simply order the raw Kitfo and thats already a good start. (For an idea you can ( for reference you can check some videos online Raw beef Ethiopian food or Ethiopian Kitfo) What else? Go an try. Its exotic, eating with your hands is more natursl than using forks and trust me.... it is so good, you will become addicted, period!!
