While passing through Fribourg, I randomly came across this restaurant which I can only recommend. Professional service and very good cuisine. Very pleasant welcome.

The choice of dishes is relatively small but everything is perfectly executed. The service is very friendly and the food delicious, the seasonings subtle and the desserts very original and perfectly mastered. The vanilla ice cream is absolutely fabulous. A faultless one.

Wonderful experience for the Valentine's Day meal, menu matching excellently with the various flavors chosen and the idyllic setting of this establishment. Attentive and very professional waiters. Thank you to your entire team for this great time.

I had heard a lot about the Aigle Noir and so we decided to have our company meal there. There were 7 of us on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was really not full. However, we had to wait for everything... we had to call the waiter to order the aperitif, we called him back to be able to order the meal (we still had time to finish our aperitif, we were getting hungry smell...) ... during the meal, no one came to ask if everything was going well or if we wanted to drink something else. Once the dishes were finished we signaled the waiter to come back...we ordered the desserts, we were not asked if anyone wanted another drink or coffees...we receive the desserts , still no offer of tea or coffee. Desserts finished, no one comes to clear up and ask if we want to drink something else. In short, we ended up leaving, without coffee, without digestive. The food is good but it remains too expensive compared to the service received. We used to have our company meal at the Town Hall in Friborg and for practically the same price, we had much better service! What a shame also for the restaurant which does not make any interesting figures even though there were 7 of us, ready to celebrate our box dinner.

Among the various most well-kept and renowned restaurants in Friborg we decided for "L'Aigle Noir" as it seemed to be the least haughty one. Indeed, although the rooms were very beautiful and with attention to detail (as were the dishes we will talk about later), we still found a warm and familiar environment. The place assigned to us was on the closed veranda overlooking the Sarina valley. The room was well furnished, perhaps a couple of tables too many but the place was not noisy and still felt quite intimate. Let's now move on to the culinary part. The dishes, composed entirely of local and seasonal products, struck us with their goodness. Non-trivial pairings, well balanced and of great quality: very good! All the staff were very courteous and highly competent, we were treated very well. The bill was in line with what we thought we would spend, definitely correct. I will definitely come back and I am ready to recommend this good restaurant to all those who want to enjoy an excellent dinner without feeling uncomfortable because they don't have a rolex on their wrist.
