Very good Dürüm, falafel. Fresh, crunchy vegetables.

When the original team or the right employees are there, it's great and very tasty. Otherwise I am very dissatisfied with the staff. It works unprofessionally and seems very stressed, which is passed on to the guest. I miss the people who were always there and were uncomplicated and very professional.

Nice atmosphere, lots of space, nice lounges for a snack. A good selection of reasonable looking deserts right at the entrance. Service is not entirely German-speaking, but friendly and communication was problem-free. The Dürüm was quite decent. Prices rather high. You definitely pay for the ambience too. Price performance overall okay.

Far too little meat and that for 12.50 and he doesn't laugh dirty, he wants to notice himself that there is far too little meat and the employees look like they don't want to serve you, especially the woman with black hair at the cash register.

The restaurant is perfectly located in the center of Altstetten and is very well served by public transport. There are also a sufficient number of white and blue parking spaces within a 5-minute walk for private transport. At peak times, you may have to accept a short waiting time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is modernly furnished and spacious. The selection of menus is manageable, but you can always find something suitable. The kebab was rather bland in taste, the meat was dry and the size of the dumpling was modest. In terms of quality, freshness and quantity, there is a need for action. The prices for the food and drinks are in the medium-high price segment.

Food good, but service overwhelmed when taking the order

Has a very large selection of patisseries, you can get very good coffee here ☕ specialties and meals, the service is friendly and attentive, can only recommend it. The price is reasonable.

I understand the bad reviews 0. It has long opening hours, is very clean, friendly staff, food is also good, had a kebab pan. And it is Halal with a certificate so as a Muslim I can eat here without a guilty conscience. Come back.

The Dürüm is quite sparsely filled for 12.90. However, the ingredients seemed quite fresh and I give another plus point for the long opening hours and the central location. Nevertheless, the kebab is at best average and the restaurant is only worth a visit late at night after a heavy drink.

An overpriced cafe. A cup of tasteless coffee from an automatic machine costs 5.30, a small piece of a cheesecake - 6.20. It smells of cigarette‘s smoke because there’s a smoking room in the cafe which is badly isolated

We went there for a working lunch and it was perfect for that. We both ordered the donor bowl (they only have chicken, no beef), and honestly, although the size was probably small for an indulgent meal, for a mid day meal on a working day, it was just right!

We stopped by for a quick bite on a late night. The place is very cozy with well-kept plants, with a quiet ambiance and comfortable seats. The food was freshly made for us (we had Pide). The baklava was looking really good, and other desserts are available as well. As a bonus, if you are a smoker, there is a fumoir indoors. Would recommend the place!

Have you tried the special breakfast?!.. We think you should try the breakfast, the food is already delicious, it is the best place to eat in Zürich. Even a cup of coffee with their smiling faces is enough. Best regards, Akaras Family

I spontaneously wanted to eat a kebab and had little time. The kebab was ready in 2 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised, it was very tasty and the hot sauce was great, I'll be back soon.

I bought round bread, they crumbled all sorts of things into it... basically it’s shawarma. Price 12 francs. Very expensive..

The kebab only tastes of salt. You can't taste the sauce, the meat is very salty and dry. You save a lot on meat. I wasn't really full. I don't normally eat such large portions, but it was very little even for me. In retrospect it's a good thing it wasn't much because I couldn't enjoy it at all. A pity.

This place is “roots”. It’s like simple “real food”, not charming food, No fancy food. In times of restaurants creating fancy-looking dishes that taste like nothing and charging a fortune, this place was refreshing. The restaurant inside looks very very nice, almost doesn’t match the food to me. I believe it’s Turkish, not sure. The service was good, one of our friends had a lot of food restrictions and the waitress has the Cook to come to her and arrange something totally adapted from the menu. We really appreciated it.

This restaurant hasn't improved since the renovation, you still never know whether you'll be served or whether you should go get something yourself. The service employee had more to do with herself instead of the 3! to serve guests.

The only thing missing here is the double door because of the draft. Otherwise it's a great shop. Delicious food, delicious beer, be sure to ask if you had anything other than feldschlösschen... They did...

Easily the best restaurant in Altstette 10/10

The service was a disaster. The woman who served us said out loud several times that she didn't have time and wanted to have the Dürüm that was in progress for me finished for someone else. It was a very hectic atmosphere in the store. I won't visit the store a second time.

Fast service, service and nice staff.

Location good. Food came after less than 5 minutes - it was basically ready (lunchtime). Price for combo menu is good(19.90 - kebab fries canned drink) However, neither the kebab nor the fries really had any taste. I also didn't receive what I ordered - as already mentioned, the food came very quickly, so I assumed it was already ready. I'll give the Pide another chance next time and have a look.

Last Friday we were warmly welcomed and fed with 20 children in the Akaras restaurant. The children were thrilled, and so were we teachers. A very child-friendly atmosphere, beautiful decoration and fine food. We'll be back 😉 THANKS

Looks great but kebabs are simply weak in taste. I can't even say why but it really just doesn't taste good. Sauce not good, meat not good, old bread, fries weak and unseasoned. It's a shame about the location. Hope this improves

It's quite okay! Kebab is actually good! Unfortunately not always super warm! So the entire kebab (bread and/or meat) could be warmer. Basically a good kebab in its own way. But very freshly prepared.

Quick and uncomplicated service, ideal for a short lunch break. Good döner and other Turkish dishes. Very close the the Altstetten train station is easy to reach with public transportation. No parking though.

Friendly staff especially the older lady. The kebab pan was very tasty, as always. But what I can't understand is why are most dining areas dirty?! People would rather twiddle their thumbs behind the cash register instead of worrying about the cleanliness of the dining areas. Leftover food everywhere… It's a real shame because the restaurant really has potential.

Ordering process without any concept. Several customers had to wait more than 30 minutes for a kebab in flatbread. Disastrous, every small kebab shop has a better concept.

I enjoyed a decent Döner "Kebap im Taschenbrot" in this newly restaurant. The Kebap was fresh, tasty and looked great. It is prepared from layered (not minced) meat. The bread was slightly too long in the oven...very nicely crunchy but would crack a little when eaten. The restaurant is very spacious, has a modern look. There are many niches but also large tables for groups. It's located right across the Zürich Altstetten train station. The staff was very friendly.

I tried the vegan kebab here and it was soooo good!

The woman at the checkout was a real slave, it couldn't be more unsympathetic.
