Alp Lavoz in Vaz/Obervaz

Very fine food, the portion sizes are generous. The staff is very friendly. The toilets are clean. The prices are reasonable. One part of the restaurant is self-service and the other part is full service. Great terrace 😎

Perfect for grabbing something good to eat quickly from the slopes. Unfortunately, the tables fill up quickly and the prices, as usual in ski resorts, are quite high

Good place to take a break while skiing and have something to eat. The prices correspond to the expected mountain prices. We paid CHF 5.50 for an iced tea in a PET bottle (5 dl) and CHF 21 for a plate of gyros. The portion was reasonably large and would certainly fill a hungry person. You can either eat in the restaurant or on the terrace, where you have a beautiful view of the mountains.

Large restaurant with a large area with self-service. The part with service has a beautiful terrace. They have a nice menu and we had a delicious meal there. Friendly service.

Best restaurant if you compare price performance with the taste, the selection is also very interesting for a mountain hut. I can only recommend it to everyone for a treat for the palate and the wallet.

The price-performance ratio is very good and the staff is always very friendly. When I'm in the region I always prefer Alp Lavoz to eat. Always a good recommendation.

Restaurant almost empty at 12:45 and we are still waiting for food at 1:30...weak! And then after more than 50 minutes what was ordered wasn't actually brought.....waiting again....... The food was very good, even if the portions were very small. After all, two coffees were donated at the expense of the house. The final mistake when paying was that we were charged for one meal too much...we had to complain again. Either they had a pitch-black day there or, what I hope not, things can't get any better.

Well located ski hut right next to the chairlift of the same name. The ambience is average with typical self-service style and an asphalted (but usually snow-covered) terrace. The view from just above the tree line to the east side of Lenzerheid and to the south is fine. The staff is friendly, the sanitary facilities are extremely clean and well maintained. The food selection and quality is excellent for a self-service restaurant. This applies to meat and pasta dishes as well as the really well-made fries (with some herbs, really nice) on several visits. Note: There is also a control area inside, but it is not always open and therefore has not been tested.

A cheeky 20 francs for a portion of Älplermacarons. The portion was so small that you would have to eat at least 3 to get enough. I also have the impression that this is a ready-made menu. Definitely won't be coming back soon.

Our favorite restaurant in the ski area, they have the best fries and you can use as much ketchup and mayo as you want at no extra charge. Very good, very friendly staff, fair prices, nice restaurant

What a nice place to take a skiing break! The restaurant is lovely, service is helpful and food is simply great! We had an amazing roast beef salad and delicious panna cotta. I hope I will be able to come back some day to try out more.

On January 31, 2023 we visited the restaurant as a group, the pizzas were not delicious. We recommend that you do not make pizzas in the future. PS: Water is way too expensive

Super unfriendly cashier in the self-service restaurant. I ordered a small schnitzel from the chef. He arranged everything on a small plate. At the checkout, the cashier doesn't accept the order and starts trouble with the chef. Really embarrassing in front of the customers... Everything is then placed from a small plate onto a large plate. Then costs 21.50 CHF. Portion size see photo.

Rather mediocre ski restaurant, haven't had a convinicing menu yet.

It is advertised as “Windless Terrace.” I tested it. That absolutely fits. A wonderful place to enjoy the winter sun. Service very good. Friendly, quick and attentive. I didn't find the "Lavoz coffee" that convincing. But it's a matter of taste. But the Graubünden nut cake was awesome!

We hade a nice lunch here. Will be coming back.

Everything clean and well organized

The tarte flambée was freshly prepared and tasted very good. Someone was only responsible for compliance with the Corona measures, which worked very well.

Are here right now and have eaten something. Everything went well and the food was good too. If you consume something, you can sit outside on the terrace when the weather is good.

Be careful if you get moldy bread for the fondue! How can you save on bread? Were there with two families and would have given a good review until this incident. We received moldy bread for the fondue at lunchtime; unfortunately, because the sun was shining, we didn't notice it until later. But when we saw the mold all over the bread basket, we almost felt sick. Something like that is not possible, serving customers moldy bread is a no go! Shame on you! To make up for it, you bought us a coffee. After this experience, I don't want to know what else the hygiene is like in this restaurant. However, I would like to give kudos to the waitress, who was very friendly and accommodating and repeatedly apologized for this slip-up. Sorry, but while I'm writing this I'm still getting angry. At these prices and save on bread....

We were in the served compartment and the restaurant was perhaps half full. When ordering drinks and lunch, it became apparent that it takes longer until you can order and receive what you ordered. When it came to dessert, the highlight was: I ordered a Kaiserschmarn. After waiting 30 minutes, colleagues ordered an apple strudel. It took less than 5 minutes for her strudel to be served - my dessert continued to wait, despite several notices to the service staff. It simply said cheekily: “The food is prepared with love.” 60 minutes after I ordered I finally received my dessert, no apology, nothing! It should be mentioned that it wasn't the Kaiserschmarn, as it was delivered directly to the table next door. I assume it was forgotten without telling me. It's actually a shame because the food is very good... they don't seem to need to serve quickly or apologize for mistakes. In any case, I do not recommend visiting this restaurant for this reason! There are enough hospitable, tip-top restaurants on and next to the slopes.

We ate well and the food was tasty.

In previous years the serviced restaurant has been good. Today, Boxing Day, we had to wait for service and also wait an hour for the day’s soup. The waitresses are experts in avoiding customers and there is only one menu card per table unless you poach one from the next table. We ate staggered over one hour, the chips weren’t freshly cooked and the white bread was dry. The rest of the food was ok but nothing special. I was initially surprised that the restaurant wasn’t full like on other busy days, now I understand why. Very disappointed, won’t go back.

This is our second time here this week. The specialist for tarte flambée wasn't there the first time. The second time, the tarte flambée was taken out of the program due to a lack of staff.

A great and above all delicious restaurant that is very well located. The selection is great, the service is very friendly. The prices are just bad for the ski area. We particularly liked the Kaiserschmarrn. We will be back.

Ate in the served part. We had to order bread and cheese again 5 times during the fondue. Each time with a waiting time of 5 minutes. In the end we didn't get any more fondue at "à discretion". Was very DISAPPOINTING.

Hello everyone I would like to comment on our visit to Alp Lavoz today. The hut is actually in a nice location and the food impressed me. However, several factors made for a rather unpleasant stay over lunch. 1. Arrived at 12pm and ordered. Fondue arrived at about 1:20 p.m ---> 1.5 hours waiting time!!!! 2. There was no window on the terrace, which made the long wait very uncomfortable. 3. Due to the long waiting time, we were given an alcoholic drink. However, the need for such compensation was not there. Therefore the offer was somewhat tasteless and inappropriate. I would have preferred different compensation. Finally, I would like to say that our staff always treated us kindly. We felt very sorry for her because she was very stressed under the pressure of the team (kitchen, service) and therefore had to work in a somewhat forgetful manner. Something needs to be improved here!!!

How can you ruin a perfect day of skiing?! Answer: Go to Alp Lavoz. The problem wasn't the relatively expensive food, but the rude and macho staff. A single employee, a chef of all people, spoiled the atmosphere and with it the food. Definitely NOT recommended. It's a shame, we're hoping for a change. Until then, we'll stay with the competition.

Huge menu with hearty menus... I had meatloaf with fried eggs and fries, everything was great. Service was good and the price was also very fair

We had lunch there with a group while skiing. The dishes were very tasty and very reasonably priced. Only some things were served a little late or were almost forgotten, but this was made up for by the friendliness and the good food.
