Z-Bar in Vaz/Obervaz

No experience gastronomy: French fries are ok, but if you have a heart for bratwursts, you should consider another catering option...

Simple bar with seating and lounging options at the valley station.

I regularly went to eat a hamburger there for CHF 12, which was totally ok. Then I went again and the price for the same hamburger without any side dish was suddenly CHF 17 - that's a stupid Zurich price. The hamburger would be great for CHF 12.- but not for CHF 17.- so I'd rather be served in a restaurant for a little more money. Very unfortunate

Yesterday (May 18th, 2023) the Z-Bar reopened under new management - i.e. the same one who also runs the exclusive Motta-Hütte. I think the new management first has to get to know the needs of the new clientele (bikers). I look forward to their learning process and am happy to adjust my review upwards. Some suggestions for improvement: - benches again instead of the chairs from the Motta hut (it is easier to wipe off the dirt from the bikers on the benches) - Put up umbrellas and some deck chairs again - serve open beer, because chilled cans can also be bought in the nearby Spar or Volg (charging 7 CHF for a 5dl can is already a very upper limit) - that the bikers head for the Revier bar is hardly your goal PS: The food truck and the food look great, I still have to test how it tastes.

We only had hot chocolate there after skiing, and it was OK.

Great location for a stopover after the descent or apres ski

The food is very good and the staff is friendly. We like to take breaks between departures here. I think the prices are rather high, hence a star deduction.

The food here is very good but it's a bit cheeky... because an important card fell into the crack at the bar and I asked if it was possible to take out the 14 screws, which took 4 minutes but they weren't even ready for that But charging 5.50 for a Coke, which you get when you save about 800 meters away, is also a Coke for the normal price and a large part of the wait staff is very unmotivated

The server was polite , spoke English, gave recommendations, what more to ask!? Also got very lucky with the music! 🤘

I go to Lenzerheide quite regularly - even with colleagues - and a visit to the Z-Bar is always obligatory for us. I can't fully understand the negative reviews. Anyone who has been working in the catering industry for many years, like myself, of course always sees both sides. And it's not easy - especially in the current situation - to please every guest. Reviews are always subjective and dependent on the situation. We have never been disappointed:. Even when it wasn't open yet, the nice employee offered to serve us an Aperol and a pizza. Friendly and uncomplicated. We'd love to come back. .

The burgers have been really, really good so far! Today I was served a burger that was just absolutely outrageous! Double cheeseburger for 17! Franken ordered, but there was only one piece of "meat" in it which consisted of at least 50% breadcrumbs and the taste was absolutely substandard Never again!!!

Protection concept well implemented, prices rather high.

This experience at the Z-Bar triggered my first restaurant review. This is a bar, whose owner complained recently on national TV about the restrictions for restaurants made by the Swiss government. Right behind the acrylic glass on the wall you will also get to know he is really not happy to have only max 4 guests each table and there is also a time limit you can stay. During my stay there I was the only guest. Arrived shortly before 10am on Feb. 4, 2021. Ordered coffee and muffin but had to call it off, because I was not sure if I left my purse in the car. Back again with money, the guy was preparing I thought he would finish with what he was just doing and attend me. During my 15-minute wait he was running around passing me all the time!! (remember he wanted to take my order at the first place...) A Lenzerheide-Bahn worker came and the guy at the bar started to make strange remarks about me (obviously) to the bahn worker who then left. I understand good German but couldn't make out what he meant. I only wanted to have coffee and muffin. I decided to take a seat and wait, until he was ready to serve. During my waiting I checked several times to see if he had finished...nope still busy... After 30 Minutes I finally realized he just did not want to serve me!! I decided to leave right pass him and see if my assumption was maybe wrong. He noticed me leaving but took no action.

Pizza Margherita is amazing here. Especially in the middle of the winter ❄️🥶

7.50 for an inedible mulled wine made from syrup. The other hot drinks were equally inedible
