The staff was very accommodating. The food was also brilliant and the location was very stylishly decorated. When I left my cell phone there, they tried very hard to contact me.

Personally, I think that the Sandro simply fit in much better here. The new operations manager is just too busy. Hectic where there is none. The kitchen, on the other hand, is a real dream. Chef keeps calm. Has his team under control. I believe that at some point employees will leave on their own. Because people are called to far more.

Great food! All of the starters we tried and the main courses were great. The dessert on the other hand, wasn’t very good.. The cinnamon buns with white chocolate had almost no white chocolate at all and they were very dry. The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was beautiful. However, it took AGES to get the food. So don’t choose the restaurant if you don’t have plants of time to spare. A bit expensive as well.

We have reserved a table for 4 people for Saturday evening. We felt very comfortable. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. The Apersand is very easy to reach on foot from the train station. We would like to come again.

The meat was black and burnt, it tasted like flour and the soup that was offered tasted like salad sauce💀💀💀💀💀💀. Service was slow. The sauces were also just maybe good. The only good thing was the salad and the water. 👀👀🧏🏻🧏🏻🧏🏻

Very very good food, good meat, excellent and good side dishes, sweet potato fries. However the service leaves a little to be desired, a little long. But I recommend, for the quality and deliciousness of the meat

I visited with my parents and my dog, the service were friendly and helpful and the food fantastic! My parents said it was the best meal they ate during their 3 week stay in Luzern and I as a vegan was equally satisfied. Dessert was missing but I was assured that if I say I would like a dessert when booking they could arrange something... can't wait! There was also space enough that nobody around was bothered by the dog which can sometimes happen when too many tables are squeezed into restaurants. Thank you, we will be back :o)

Too bad. Actually, I just wanted to sit and enjoy a cigar. On the first evening at 9:45 p.m. I was turned away on the grounds that they had already finished work in the lounge, even though the opening hours are until 11:00 p.m. On the second evening I asked if it still had a problem and the answer was yes without checking. Unfortunately, when I checked, the lounge was full. Again without success. It's a real shame when it's advertised like that... definitely a nice restaurant with a nice ambience and certainly a cozy cigar lounge, but unfortunately it's not operated as that as hoped.

Very nice steak house in Lucerne. We were there with a group and did a sampler platter which was great. Excellent appetizers too. The red sausage is to die for. Pretty good service. Nice beer selection.

Very nice restaurant with very good service and plenty of space for groups. We were there as a medium-sized group for brisket evening. Unfortunately, the brisket was a bit dry at first, but the second serving was juicy again. All colleagues were very satisfied and had enough.

The host really celebrates his work. The same applies to the excellent cuisine. You are welcome as a guest. Something like that is rare these days. That's more valuable than any stars. A visit can always be recommended, but it would be a good idea to make a reservation.

Tonight in Lucerne. After finding a parking space for 3.- an hour, we finally got to the Ampersand grill restaurant. The food was tasty and well presented, referring to the starter and the main course (salad and meat platter for 2 people with side dishes and sauces) I say that as a trained chef. Good beer is also offered. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy. So far so good. The reason for the large deduction is as follows. Prices are not exorbitant, but within a very high range we would have been full. Since this wasn't the case, we skipped dessert and, disappointed, visited the McDonald's in Kriens like in a very bad movie. Best regards

My wife and I were visiting from the US and staying near Ampersand, so we decided to give it a try. Extremely happy we did! We had an incredible meal, so far the best one on our multi-city trip. Highly recommend the appetizer platter for a variety of flavors before the main course, then the sharing platter for 2 for a sampling of meats that were prepared perfectly. The Swiss beef was exceptionally tender, and the sausages had just enough hotness to them to keep things interesting. Great ambience, service, and conversation in the cigar room afterwards, the perfect nightcap to an already excellent experience.

The meat was too salty and too peppery, I couldn't enjoy the food at all.

Was there on a Tuesday evening to enjoy brisket a discretion. After the 3 brisket plates, unfortunately no more supplies were delivered. After asking several times, we were told we would bring supplies straight away, but we waited in vain. A nogo for an A Discretion event!!! Once and never again. But the meat was very tasty!!!

Elisa looked after us wonderfully throughout the evening. We go to Ampersand a lot because we are surprised every time. Only recommended

Best food in Switzerland!!! We had the shared grill and the meat was amazing, each one seasoned perfect and very tender. The grilled veggies and salad are a wonderful accompaniment and very tasty. High standards - from ambiance and interior design, to food, to service. Well planned and executed menu, highly knowledgeable staff, and an overall experience that's easily up there with any Michelin star restaurant.

Five stars to rate that place is not enough, you need all the stars from heaven. It is said that there are no magic spells, so go there and you will see that there is. Kudos to the shop owners and our children for their efforts and organization.

The food was excellent. I can't say anything bad about that. But for me personally the service and ambience was very bad and a disappointment. Firstly, we didn't get what we ordered and secondly, the service just puts everything on the table and doesn't say anything, we want to know what's what. The restaurant is hectic! And it's cold inside. No mood, you can just see how everyone is stressed!! And a very long wait 🙁🙁It's a shame!!

The best burger joint in all of Lucerne! Very pleasant atmosphere, open kitchen where you can see the fine burger roasters on the grill creating the food. Very clean! The service with pretty boys was very excellent and courteous, it has a smoker for smokers and a very large selection of various grilled dishes. I can only warmly recommend it.

I had the "cut of the week": beef spider steak with red wine jus and rosemary potatoes. Very tender, juicy meat, perfectly medium fried on the open fire, with a delicious grilled taste. There were also various homemade sauces. The rosemary fried potatoes were also very good. Friendly and attentive staff and a very nice atmosphere. Highly Recommended!!!!

I've heard a lot of good things. Unfortunately, what we experienced could only keep up to a limited extent. Not bad and not that I wouldn't go again. But the cooking point and quality of the meat was not perfect. Atmosphere a bit hectic (but that's to be expected for Friday evening)

One of the best beef burgers I've ever had, and I had plenty of them. Cozy interior and the restaurant is located in the center of Luzern. A must for meat lovers!

Unfortunately I only have to give it three stars, the atmosphere is great and the food was okay. But unfortunately the waitress wasn't competent enough to recommend a suitable wine for our meal. We also waited about 35 minutes for our appetizer. Therefore not the full five stars.

Ingenious, sophisticated grill cuisine that is rediscovered and creatively presented. A real treat!

Good restaurant, but unfortunately quite overpriced and probably overrated - conditions were very attentive and friendly at the beginning, but when the restaurant filled up, we were no longer paid that much attention. Not really a problem, but we were never asked if we wanted dessert… The food is good and of good quality - but the prices are exorbitant. A beef fillet for 54.- for 200g. I think it's at the upper limit. There are limits somewhere, even in Switzerland, no matter how good the meat is. Hamburger for 35.50 is also at the upper limit. But so far so good. Maybe it's also that everything is expensive overall, including the drinks (monthly drink in a small glass without alcohol 13.-, with alcohol 16.-) and the monthly wine (red wine) was 13.-. The amount is measured very precisely so that it is no more than 1dl (typical Switzerland, unfortunately..), which is a bit of a shame for a restaurant like this. Conclusion: I like to spend money on good food, but everything has its limits somewhere and somewhere it is no longer justified, I think.

Wonderfully cozy restaurant with incredibly delicious meat, whether lamb or beef. Very tasty salads and side dishes. Great wines. Small, cozy cigar lounge right in the restaurant. Super friendly service. Very clean and easy to reach on foot or by car. Reservations are recommended on weekends.

We were at the Balkaneros event. 5 course menu with live music. It was excellent, everything was great.

Great restaurant we had the business lunch there and I can only say top top top. Very friendly staff, very good food and the portions were just right. I can only recommend it. I will definitely go there again.

Love this place! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food!! We ordered drinks and two of the steaks plus some sides. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Plus, there is a cigar lounge connected to the restaurant if that’s your thing. Highly recommend if you’re in town!

Super good meat, had the Teres Major and it was excellent! The Ampersand salad as a starter as well as the grilled vegetables and the side dishes (mountain herb risotto) were also the finest. I would also like to mention the excellent and courteous service. There is also a nice restaurant with a cigar lounge that invites you to linger. All in all great and absolutely recommended. I will definitely stop by again when I am in Lucerne.

Only one thing to say about my experience here : The "All you can eat" offering is really not what you expect... we had 4 people on one table which ordered the AYCE beef brisket, mac n cheese, salad, and beans. The first plate they brought us had 8 pieces of brisket - and thin slices at that. So obviously this was gone super quick. At the same time as the brisket, they brought us the Mac'nCheese side dish. This was as well gone very quickly. Then came the song and dance : not once did the server come and ask us if we want more brisket. We had to essentially beg for more brisket, and this was ordered in Swiss German. Finally, after another 30-40 minutes, he brought us a new plate... complete with 2 pieces of brisket. 4 people, 2 pieces... we asked him why he didn't bring another normal portion for all of us and he said that we ordered only 2 more... not true. So then we started the process again, ordered the exact number we wanted... it took another 45 minutes or so to bring this out. I mean just ridiculous, and this is not to mention that we ordered a 2nd mac'ncheese bowl at least 3 different times - from different servers - and it never came. So all in all, in the span of 3 hours, we had 4 pieces of brisket and 1 bowl of mac n cheese. Absolutely the worst AYCE experience i have ever had. @Ampersand, either revise your definition of AYCE or remove this listing from your menu, it is not at all fair to your customers.
