We just celebrated the birthday of a friend of ours and I must say that everything was truly exceptional..The staff was more than friendly, helpful and smiling.. They also prepared the cake (very good)..wonderful place..We will be back soon...Thank you so much again ..

Beautiful place and delicious aperitif, we felt pampered! The waiter Mirco was super nice! I recommend to everyone :)

I was impressed, especially by the friendly and flexible service. Add to that the great view and the location right next to the train station. If you want, you can have a direct view of the lake here. The choice of food is plentiful and everyone should find something. We had spaghetti vongole, others had a fillet with pepper sauce. Everything was very good, including the dessert.

We only had an aperitif but we felt welcome, fast service and top quality/price ratio

Enchanting view. Unfriendly service, salmon tartare, small, unseasoned, cold toast, too expensive (sfr.31) Pizza half baked, doughy, canned tomato puree. Just ideal for a cappuccino with a view.

The ambience and service were really good, but unfortunately the mushrooms on the pizza were from a can. No lie, the pizza base was perfect, tasty and crispy, only the mushrooms ruined everything. This horrible taste from the pickling water in the mushroom unfortunately drowned out the ham and mozzarella (products that already have a very mild taste, in contrast to salami) on the pizza. That's really a pity. Mushrooms are not more expensive as fresh produce, store well, are prepared quickly and are available all year round. Therefore, my understanding of this convenience product is very limited.

I can't comment on the food as we only sat for a quick coffee and a beverage. This place is next to the main train station of Lugano and it is convenient to have a coffee or a meal while you are waiting for your train. It has a beautiful view of Lugano and the lake so, if the weather is good and you sit outdoors you can enjoy your meal with this beautiful view. The service was good. 4 stars, recommended.

Very good pizza. Really top service. The environment would be truly Romanesque, shame about the headlights that shoot light at you. Courteous and professional staff.

Two visits=very disappointing. Very high prices (6.- for a 500ml bottle of water and 20.- for a plate of grilled vegetables (with 5 slices of vegetables, I counted them: aubergines and courgettes) with a mozzarella. The service leaves a lot to be desired: they forgot the order so 45 minutes of waiting and the staff was neither courteous nor polite (they didn't say hello).

Very scrumptuous Solo Lunch, I had the pleasure of being waited by Marcello. The service was impeccable, including the suggestions ! Very good waiter who made what seemed like a tourist trap at first result in an amazing lunch. I definitely Recommend having lunch there if you must stay near the train station.

Highly recommended! Delicious dishes with high quality ingredients and expert preparation. Highly organized kitchen and gracious service. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Unbeatable, accessible location across the street from the main strain station. Incredible view and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the center/activity along the lake. During our 4 days in Lugano, we ate here 3 times. I tried a variety of dishes, and from fish to pasta to meat, everything was perfect. When family friends with a small child were in town, we had to take them here. They were also very impressed. Will definitely be back when in Lugano.

Had dinner on the terrace overlooking the lake. Very welcoming environment, very friendly and helpful staff. We had swordfish carpaccio, octopus carpaccio, prawn linguine, Moscardini, mixed fry, and panna cotta.

Fabulous restuarant but it could have been just our unlucky evening? The seafood dish was dreadful and very overcooked, and we sent it back. The linguini with sea urchins was not what we expected. We were disappointed as visiting Lugano is a dream

Given the bad weather we stayed inside the restaurant, let's say that the atmosphere on the terrace was much more pleasant! The music would have to be changed, there was the radio 📻 in Swiss German!! Very good food.

The breathtaking panoramic view and the speed and availability of the dining room staff are excellent. The food is of good quality. The dishes we ordered were all of good aesthetic quality and also good in taste, some portions were not exaggerated in quantity but enough to be able to enjoy everything without weighing down too much. Parking is the weak point of the restaurant, it is very difficult to find a parking space even in the nearby paid car park, the proximity to the station generates that type of problem.

Job dinner. I highly recommend it, the food is good and the view is very beautiful.

We actually wanted to eat, but if the aperitivo doesn't even work out... What a shame for the beautiful view!

Nice place but terrible service

If you are not elegant and polished they treat you like a dog, it was not a pleasure. If you're a waiter and you frown at people and turn up your nose, I think you're in the wrong job. “Strengths: Cozy”? I don't think so and apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so either. Strongly not recommended.

The Neapolitan calzone is excellent. Tables overlooking Lake Lugano. Courteous staff.

Special food. The kitchen does an excellent job, both in terms of timing and the quality of the dishes served, fish, pasta and pizza are of unquestionable quality. The service is a little less so. The girls give the best, the boys the bare minimum. For the menu we waited 25 minutes, for the drinks 15 minutes. Despite our waiter walking past us several times, quite relaxed and pointing out that we had been sitting down for a long time but the drinks we had asked for 15 minutes earlier had not arrived. Luckily one of the two girls noticed us, even though the table didn't belong to her. There's something else that I simply prefer to leave aside because I'm not one for poems. But my feedback has nothing against the location, nor the quality of the food. But on the male part of the service which in my opinion should be either revisited or replaced, if this is always the case. Let me start by saying that the restaurant was not full. I recommend it in any case, because leaving aside the service, you eat very well. Ideal location for couples.

I've only been once, but it's a nice place and has a beautiful view. Attached to the station, therefore also very convenient to reach, it has a beautiful, elegant and well-kept terrace. Good aperitif (Spritz) and average prices. Definitely recommended

Had dinner on the terrace, very beautiful view of the lake and Mount Brè on display. Spaghetti with seafood is good as is the salmon tartare. The aperitif is the only aspect on which we would have to complain in the sense that nothing was brought.

Pretty unpleasant evening for two points. A group was celebrating something so loud music and songs, even pleasant ones, but it all made communication at the tables difficult. Pizza really unappetizing and with very little toppings. All at prices that I consider exaggerated. Nothing to say about the pleasant and helpful staff. It would be better if planned events give up customers. I don't know if I will repeat the experience in the same place!

What can I say, a wonderful place, excellent food, top wine cellar and fantastic service! I will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I didn't have a simple dish Spageti Aglio e Olio on the menu but I got it anyway. Spaghetti is tasteless and has no garlic flavor. Really big disappointment. But the view is very nice. Hence this review.

We are from Lugano, we had dinner with the family, they arrived early, we left early, it's a decoy for tourists, goodbye to the good old train, in 50 years we have never seen such bad service, this is what we ate, nothing special, we want of work on the part of the waitress was more than evidently equal to zero, absolutely NEVER AGAIN at the station buffet, you can eat well there and we can't wait for it to reopen!!

Terrible food, terrible experience !

Wonderful Franciacorta, good ravioli, great view, BUT: Service was unfortunately completely overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was far from full. Was there twice this week at different times. 1 x aperitif, 1 x meal. Service failed both times. A pity.

Impregnable view of Lake Lugano. With mild February weather, this place once again proved satisfactory.

The menu offered is good although the prices are a little high. Compensate your vision. What disappointed me again is the staff who are not attentive to customers and who always have to be called back. The restaurant was not at all full. The lighting could be a little higher. You can't even read the menu. I'm sorry but this was the last time.

I was on the numerous time having pizza, drinks and everything time it was outstanding. The waiters are very nice and they are keeping an eye on guests. Very much recommended

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and unfortunately we have to say that the service is nice but not competent. We wanted to order from the small menu and received it after a 15' wait. But then we weren't asked if we wanted to have a drink we didn't forget. We wanted to know what was gluten-free and they promised that the chef would come and then no one could do it again. The gluten-free meal was listed on the menu as a salad plate with salmon for 26 francs! And what came was a handful of ruccola covered with a manageable amount of salmon and no alternative to bread Outrageous!! In addition to the extremely tedious waiting time, extremely poor service!

Nice place, shame that the door closes at 12pm instead of 10.30pm closed. Too bad when you book to warn customers p.f.

We are going to eat on 01/06/2023. 1: Apart from the head waiter, the staff were very unfriendly and incompetent. They came 4 times to ask us what we wanted to eat, even though when ordering the aperitif, we had told them that we wanted to drink it and order afterwards. In addition, when ordering wine, the table was full of empty cutlery and a waitress brought us the order without saying a word, without service and leaving the table in its condition. 2. We ordered spaghetti vongole whose oil was simply reheated, therefore INEDIBLE!!. With that a fillet of beef with pepper at the price of Frs 49.50. Served with a butcher knife! Teeth ! And requested with rare cooking and served raw in the center. In addition, this meat was full of nerves and therefore very bad. We do not praise the chef and the service staff. We absolutely do not recommend this exhaustively priced restaurant to anyone. A word to the wise.

Today I was very disappointed with this place which externally presents itself as a distinct place. I experienced terrible table service, to eat something quick, it was not possible to have either a sandwich, or toast or something similar. Considering that it is in front of a station it seemed absurd to me. I don't recommend it.

One star, because I can't give zero. Restaurant with a beautiful view certainly, but the meals were truly horrible. I was sick all night. This restaurant put me off pizza. Most expensive restaurant paid on site for very very poor service and meal quality. Really disappointed. We will never come back again.

2 of us went last night for a drink and it was 10.20pm, before entering we looked on the door until what time it was open, until 12.00am. We went in and sat at a table in front of the bar, there were still people sitting at the tables eating. A waiter approached and practically kicked us out!!! Upon our observation that the closing time was 12pm, he replied in an arrogant manner that they would close in 10 minutes!!! It will certainly be a place that we will avoid and will not recommend to anyone!!!

Bellavista wonderful friendly staff

The coffee was very good and the view was fantastic.

I visited the place with my mum (75) on a Wednesday night (18-20h) in November '22. Place serves Italian dishes (antipasti, pasta, risotto, fish, meat, pizza) with reasonable prices (for Switzerland). Vegetarian but no vegan options available. We had two different types of vegetarian risotto (although fish sauce may be considered non-vegetarian, 21.- each) and half a litre of red wine (37.50). Both food and were delicious. Unfortunately, the risotto was served on a large plate as a very thin layer and hence got cold very quickly. Staff was very young and, apart from one girl, did not make us feel welcome. While not rude, but at least unfriendly. Besides the spectacular views onto the lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains through big windows, the interior is quite nice. Unfortunately the acoustic is catastrophic and it was very loud and we had difficulty to understand each other while talking. Also, staff was rearranging chairs and tables in very noisy way. Particularly the chairs make loud noises on the wooden floor. Bathroom was nice but guests had left it in a messy state.

The rumors were both negative and positive, I decided to eat at your restaurant this evening. Well with all due respect I'll give you an X, on the menu it said 50 fr lobster and macaroni. I received a not very fresh lobster, 4 pieces of cross-cut pasta, a beautiful but unusable dish. In the end I am told with the waiter's sneer "that you thought they were two portions for 50 fr" I didn't want to argue out of respect for the restaurant, but now I, an 18-year-old apprentice, decide to use a large part of my salary to eat at your place, to satisfy one of my needs and this is the result. I knew it was a hole in my wallet, but I hoped at least to to be happy. Really disappointed

It was the best Spaghetti Vongole of my life. Marrying the touch of sea salt and garlic in harmony with olive oil and cooking water (pasta) with tenderly cooked "al dente" spaghetti... that was high art. Maybe it wasn't planned by the chef... but it was very convincing. We had lunch and (I) was very surprised at the quality of this dish. Price performance very fair. In Berlin or Vienna at a posh Italian restaurant, I pay more and don't get anywhere near this quality. Many thanks to the team because the service was not only quick and competent, but also exceptionally friendly. When we are back in Lugano we will definitely come back. Thank you Ronnie and Annette

We do not recommend, too expensive for what it is... First of all the waiters are not smiling, we had reserved for 8 p.m., picked up at 8:15 p.m.... I don't understand the principle of reserving if it's to pass on people who haven't reserved before us . We had fish for 32chf for so little accompaniment... 28chf for only 7 ravioli. The "bread" is very bad, it looks like plastic... Hungry after our meal, we did not continue with desserts for fear of paying too much. No parking, station parking opposite available but paying. We will not come back.

Just outside the station.! the view will be stunning enough to pay a bit more for the food served. Service is good and their lemon cheese cake is a must try.! candle light dinner is their USP.

Very bad impression. Drinks ordered from one server, dish from another, long waiting time and unable to prepare a Caipirosca.

Fast service, but rude, stressed and above all messy waiters. I have frequented this place before, but unfortunately it has gotten a lot worse. We went during aperitif time and together with our drinks they didn't even bring two chips, I asked for an appetizer, the waiter said he would bring something, but after 40 minutes there was nothing!

The location of the restaurant is very nice. I ordered 1 Pizza Capricciosa and 1 Schneider Weizenbier. The pizza came after about 3-4 minutes and was only cooked warm. The ingredients came from a can and had no taste at all. A pure disaster. Like many restaurants, prices are increased and quality is reduced. The wheat beer cost CHF 9.50. This is a rip-off.
