good food but it was a sunny day and Sunday, it was enough to walk 500 meters looking at the Sulka restaurant on the right plus where you arrive in a beautiful square with a more relaxing restaurant

We visited the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday; Not quite at rush hour (1:30 p.m.), but service was still slow. (The surprising first day of spring probably attracted too many guests to the open terrace and there were simply too many for the number of waiters.) Apart from the fact that we had to wait a long time before we could order and pay at the end, it was a very nice visit. Despite the stress, the service was nice. The quality of the dishes was excellent. Both the spaghetti cacio e pepe and the asparagus risotto were very tasty; The chicken strips for our daughter were of very good quality, the baked potatoes were perfect because they weren't too greasy. For dessert there was a deconstruction of a tiramisu. I would have preferred it already assembled, but the taste was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

Too bad I normally write to praise but this time I can't, it was supposed to be a nice evening dinner and concert and instead... Rude and opinionated service (except for one waiter), minimum wage menu and portions and finally the two companions who ate the fried lake with chips were bad. Never again

Would have liked to have lunch outside on a sunny day. Unfortunately we were told by service that this was not possible so early in the year. However, a table with guests was set and could eat outside. It's a shame and a bit shabby in my opinion.

Nice place with delicious cuisine. I really liked the beetroot soup. I didn’t even imagine that it could be cooked like this. The fish is very tender in taste and the vegetables are crispy. Everything I like. The portions are small, just enough to fill you up. My husband ordered olegin, I tried a piece, the meat was very tender and soft. Highly recommend . The desserts are delicious. Everything is fresh. Nice atmosphere, music. Thank you very much to the staff. True, the break between the first and second courses was a little long, the wait was more than 30 minutes. But the beautiful view from the window of the park and lake compensates for our wait. I recommend it to everyone, you will enjoy both the taste and the presentation.

Directly from Bari, Puglia, Italy. Delightful stop in a truly very nice, spectacular and evocative corner. Lake view, silence, tranquility reign supreme. Eating good. German and Swiss beers need to be said a little but they are fine. Fast and very friendly service.

Upscale delightfully fresh and local ingredients. This is not a Neapolitan Italian restaurant but it true Swiss Italian in a peaceful and beautiful location. Hand made pasta, Valle Maggia pepper all to perfection.

Rib-eye steak was perfectly made to my liking. Cacio e pepe is fantastic, hands down the best in town. Tiramisu isn’t what you’d expect but the concept and presentation were very cool and the flavour was alright.

The worst service in Lugano. Rude and unprofessional waiters made this visit horrible.

Very young waiter, rude and incompetent. He brings us hot water with a stinky glass and a disgusting spritz and denies even just two chips saying it's late (9.40pm). They remove the cushions from our chairs saying that they are doing us a favor and that they won't take any more orders because they are closing. Then I see online that closing is at 11.30pm! Terrible, never visit! They are the first to put up a sign saying "don't sit down because we don't want to work"

I've lived in Switzerland for a few years now and this one tops it as the worst meal I've ever had. My advice is don't order the pasta with swordfish and almonds. Specks of fish, no almonds and a consistency and taste of baby food. Waiter said they'd sort it out and never did. Still... great location and pop-up bars in the area.

We were “only” in the vineyard right by the water. It was really great! You sit in the shade, with chilling music and good drinks and look at the lake and the mountains.

A complete success. We walked from Gandria and they were very kind, serving us almost at kitchen closing time. The daily menu was very good and the waiter was very nice. Many thanks for everything.

One of a kind, beautiful location. You are directly on the river and lake. The external objects are very beautiful. We had breakfast, the service was fast and the prices were appropriate for the area. If you want peace and quiet in the morning, you'll find it here.

Very good food. Also the place and the service. It's a shame that the kitchen closes at 9.30pm and therefore it is not possible to dine at a more convenient and pleasant time for the summer season.

It’s a great place to stop on your walk along the lake. The service was a bit slow but this might have been a one off time regardless, it’s a nice to chill and refresh.

With a walk through the Ciani park, you reach the mouth of the Cassarate river...very suggestive location under ancient trees

Magical restaurant. Excellent service and fantastic dishes. The veal with tuna sauce, a bomb!

With a group of 28 people, we had to insist several times to have a reservation confirmation. The menu was expensive and the portions small, but the guinea fowl served was well prepared. The servers were friendly and did what they could. But when invoiced, the estimate had not been taken into account and I had to have it corrected. I think the experience could be much more positive for a romantic meal, because the place is magnificent.

Relaxe on a lesser crowdy place the lake of Lugano - enjoy the drink, an appetizer or live on the boot & sailing harbour. Real nice in the spring and autumn.

The Osteria del Porto offers lunch menus consisting of green or mixed salad as well as a main prize, on our visit this was Paccheri al Pomodoro con Burrata at CHF 22 per person. The portion is small but tasty and the service is multilingual, funny and courteous. Dogs are very welcome.

Terrible service, they served the people who came later first. They took delivery of the order twice, to take a delivery we waited 30 minutes (the place wasn't crowded) and finally to make 5 ginseng and bring the bill it took them 1.30. I do not recommend. Not very professional.

The food was good, the risotto with ragú from the Salsiccia was even a poem! The younger waiter was very friendly. Nice ambience, good location on Lake Lugano.

Nice experience for Sunday lunch. The food is of excellent quality. The cut with rosemary is very good. All very good. The cocktails are also excellent. Spend around €60 per person with starter, main course and cocktail. I think in line with Lugano prices.

Expensive, but simple and tasty food on a lunch visit. Nice surroundings, a bit quieter than the main parts of the town which is welcome. I would recommend a visit if you are in town.

Beautiful venue on the shore of Lake Ceresio, next to Ciani park. The menu offers typical dishes of the region and some reinterpretations of classic Italian dishes. Delicious desserts. Two small flaws: One was the disparity in quantity in the dishes (they served me a small dose of tagliatelle with meat sauce, while my friend had filled his plate with spaghetti). The other is that at a certain moment the waiters disappeared for more than half an hour, so much so that we decided to give up the coffee. Other than that, we still had a pleasant evening.

Informal place, where you can stop for an aperitif and a break on the lake shore. Easy to find parking nearby. It is possible to swim by choosing between the lake, public access and paid access lido and swimming pool.

Overall the food was good but the service and in particular one waiter left a bad impression! To the point that I won't dine there again. Every other restaurant has been and shown a much more welcoming atmosphere.

We decide to stop to refresh ourselves in the outdoor bar and take the opportunity to feed our baby. The waiter on the terrace, clearly suffering from unprecedented lethargy and for whom English seems to be an exotic language whose mastery of the elementary basics is apparently useless and who ultimately reminds me that in lack of manpower we come to employ anyone, finally manages to take our order not without difficulty. The latter includes, among other things, the request to warm up our 9-month-old daughter's potty, which will be done with a glass of hot water in the absence of a microwave. Not to mention the reaction time of this waiter who is more busy providing napkins to tables devoid of customers, our order arrives. What a surprise to see at the time of the bill the billing for the glass of hot water 2.50 CHF! Despite my observation made to the waiter, the latter confirmed the invoicing of this service which was therefore in no way an error. This restaurant can pride itself on being the first business to charge for heating our daughter's food, a gesture that is as sad as it is indelicate... Looking forward to never coming back.

Food wasn't the best (fish crispy not fried properly), as we experienced it 3 years ago. One waiter was more unfriendly than attentive and not all of our group Speaking Italian was more of a thorn in his side. One of the waitresses was there for us We apologized for the waiting times and were offered a limoncello on the house, that was the good side of that evening.

Simply great food. Pricey high, but justified. ⭐️ I can recommend.

We always come by when we're nearby. The chicken nuggets on the children's menu are really great, served on a slate plate. The HIT fries. Mario's tagliata as well. The location is simply a dream. We stopped to refresh ourselves from the heat of this scorching European summer! We drank an excellent draft beer and a very fresh Ticino soda served with ice which helped us recover from the long queue on the motorway to get from central Italy to Lugano Extremely helpful and kind staff.

The location is really the highlight of this restaurant. The food is scarce and not that good (I had fish and chips that could have come from a street food stand, but we're not as cheap😒) The prices are the usual on average for a place that well located in a city like Lugano. The attention was correct. I think there are far better places to eat in the city.

This is my second time coming back and I don't think I will again. Excessive prices for what they offer. The portions are very small and the two times I went I didn't finish my plate because I didn't like what they cooked. I find that they take advantage of it due to the strategic location. 40fr. for a pasta with game and pepper, a small beer and a coffee 🙄

Good location but after it became clear we didn't speak Italian or wanted food we were ignored. Everything took forever. Chairs and tables were preferred to be rearranged.

we waited way too Long for the Pommes Frites and they were pretty Bad. They werent salted at all and we didnt geht any sauces at first.

We waited at the edge for a free space because we saw that almost everything outside in the garden area was occupied. Then unexpectedly a place became available, we thought it was free, suddenly a vast cellar said NO, we were rudely asked to leave because this place was already reserved for other guests. But we didn't see any other guests waiting. This waiter was very unfriendly. Conclusion: Very nice location, right on the lake and with some shade from a beautiful tree. We'll try each other again.
