You have to wait too long for the food

Very friendly staff, they come to ask if everything is to your liking. Have time for a joke. Nice place to have something to eat. And open on Mondays.

Too few staff and they are helplessly overwhelmed. 30 minutes for 4 small drinks.

Enjoyed the ice cream, honey cake and beer but what I didn't like is that we were bit forced to pay the tip (even though there is no tipping culture in Switzerland).

Everything was fine. Nice to sit outside and take a break. Maybe drink a refreshing beer. Price-performance is good.

Sausage cheese salad garnished = a lot of greens and very little sausage and even less cheese. The summer salad also doesn't correspond to the description. tourist trap?

We only had time for a drink. It took over 10 minutes before we were even served. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for the cola and iced tea. The owner had no understanding of our reaction, although he probably simply forgot the order. Maybe hire a little more staff on a beautiful Sunday with a packed terrace?

It's actually sad that almost all cafes in Chur are closed on Sunday. One man's bad luck is another man's luck, so we found the Arcas Café, whose fantastic outdoor area now welcomes us every Sunday for coffee and croissants.

Arcas is a simple café in Chur's old town. The range of food and cakes is good. Customers are particularly pleased with the cakes made in-house. Friendly service.

Quality of the food was okay (except panna cotta), nothing more. Prices are way too high for the portion. 7.- for a 4mm thick slice of meat cheese, 3.- for a fried egg and another 7.- for 20 fries are too expensive! Portion far too small for the money and in short, a rip off. Ordered dessert panna cotta, smelled very strongly of cheese and was far from the mark. Plus ready-made sauce from the wholesaler... We will definitely not visit the cafe again.

The location is nice, a little hidden in the old town and therefore nice and quiet. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and you can always find a shady spot. I had a mango smoothie and a crunchy summer salad with feta and fruit. I never thought strawberries would fit in salad. But it was great!! By the way: The schnitzel here costs less than half as much as the one at the neighbor's. Prices absolutely ok.

Very good Caesar salads, but really not very generous for the price, and without the croutons.... We ordered 4 for a family of 5. We were charged for the extra plate but we still only received 4 slices of bread, which we had to ask for. Server not very friendly, but OK. Pretty terrace. In the end expensive for little, but very good.

Waited for the bill for half an hour

I ordered a coke, the glass was very dirty. It was then replaced with a clean one, but the cola, which was already in the glass, was not replaced...

12 CHF for 40 fries! I don't even get so little for so much money on the ski slopes! The ham cheese toast was also among everything. Classic tourist trap

Café and restaurant located in the old town of Chur between Obere Gasse and Arcas Square. There is a good selection of food and 4 to 6 home-baked cakes. The service is very friendly and helpful and the coffee and cakes are super delicious. The price of the coffee is 4.50 CHF and for 4 adults and a child, coffee and cake are available for around 45 CHF. The interior rooms are narrow and winding in the old town house, but very romantic. The toilets can only be reached via an elevator. All in all, absolutely recommended.

Long waiting times, overwhelmed staff

Too expensive, the pasta portions are tiny compared to the price. Also, they served us the wrong dish and refused to change it... Never again...

The ancient city of Chur is really small, so we finished the tour quickly. We just went to the square to have a cup of cake and a piece of cake, but I actually ate the weirdest punch & cheesecake in my life. First of all, I didn’t know that this orange punch is hot! 👉 Although there is really hot punch orange in the UK, but I really find it too weird. You know, orange and lemon actually have a bitter taste when heated. Personally, I don't think it's a good drink - except that it can warm you up. Secondly, it was my first time to eat warm cheesecake, and it felt so watery. It's warm and watery. To be honest, the taste is really bad 🙄. 🔹The advantage is that the environment is very comfortable and +1 gives it a geographical location.

Nice place, great service. Partially charred spaetzli (cheese spaetzli), which made the whole dish taste good. This can happen, but should never, ever be sent to the guest. And an absolute "no go" the claim from the boss that the dish was completely OK. At least the plate was finally replaced without any problems...

After a strenuous bike tour, you can replenish your energy reserves with a delicious cake on the square. In addition, Arcasplatz gives a bit of an Italian feeling in summer.

Stingily small portion (spaghetti that cost the host almost nothing!) - and when it was mentioned, the comment was that you should have ordered more or something different. Very disappointing, a shame.

Very fine cake and nice ambience

Waited 35 min for lunch to be served. When I commented on this being a little slow, the server snapped "It's not my fault" and walked away... Especially disappointing because the food (Gemüserösti mit Spiegelei) was actually quite good, though hard to enjoy in the 5 mins I had left.
