Argentina Steakhouse in Winterthur

I never write reviews, but this was without exaggeration, the best steakhouse I've ever been to, and the best restaurant I've visited in a good while. Staff is super friendly and patient, portions are extremely generous, and the selection of dishes makes you want to come back to try something new. The price is average for a steakhouse (around €40-60 for a meal without desert), but you are getting an experience similar to restaurants with a price range many times over this one. Will make sure to come back next time I visit Switzerland.

For small or larger hungers in between. The Argentinian wines are highly recommended, but the menu is also something special. Located directly at the train station in Winterthur. Good price-performance ratio.

Don't let yourselves be fooled! The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right! The portions are really very modest and the prices are astronomical. The food tastes...okay...(for the one star) but that's cheating on the whole level. The seemingly friendly service tries to suggest to the guest that they are in a posh establishment (reality: it is on the level of a middle-class sports bar), but anyone with a little sensitivity and social intelligence can see through this quite quickly. You feel emotionally blackmailed after eating and you go home hungry. Not recommended and certainly the last time in this establishment. Don't let yourself be ripped off and go to places like Molino (at least you get something for your money there) :)

Disappointing. Spare ribs were fatty, streaky and not really edible. Entrecote was ok, but nothing special. The salad was very tasty, as was the greeting from the kitchen. The reception and service was friendly - but the billing was incorrect - which we only noticed when we got home. The drinks from another table ended up on our bill... well - our bad luck. In my opinion, prices are far too high for what is offered. We won't be coming back and can't recommend the restaurant…

The meat was excellent, but the side dishes could definitely be improved. I was at the restaurant on a work day/lunch. The flair of a steakhouse was slightly missing (ambience). It was a mix of a bit of a steakhouse and a bit of a regional pub.

The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. The hot stone was fantastic and the savory piece was as juicy as you would imagine. We would love to come back and look forward to the next time.

A little disappointed. Soup of the day was bland and way too much as a starter. Rump steak driven through the steaker and still very mixed with vision. No Argentinian delicacy. Side dishes for 40.- are poor. Fine dips for baget bread. Friendly service. Nice ambience, background music too loud, disturbing.

Real Argentinian restaurant with a South American flair. The meat was very well prepared with various sauces. Greetings from the kitchen were very tasty. The beef tartare was excellent. The staff extremely attentive and extremely friendly. Will definitely come back.

The food was very good and also convincing. The small, well-stocked menu is up to date and recommended. Also the explanations and level of knowledge of the employees. Unfortunately the waiting times between courses were too long. We were there as a registered group during the week. The restaurant was about a third full and we were the first guests. The beverage service still has a lot of potential. Any tricks involving serving a beer glass on the back of your hand don't make up for forgotten drink orders.

The meat eater gets his money's worth here. Since many guests prepare their own meat from the hot stone, the smell in the restaurant is disturbing. The reception was very friendly, the service was attentive and quick and we didn't have to prepare our fillet ourselves. The kitchen is therefore somewhat flexible.

If you like steak and want good service, this is the place for you. The staff is very child-friendly. The entrécôtes and steaks are particularly recommended from the menu. The steakhouse burger with beef hoof strips was okay, but we weren't as impressed as we were with the classic steak dishes.

I had a 200 g sirloin steak (medium) with Potetos fries. The meat was briefly seared on the outside and tenderly pink on the inside. It was perfectly grilled and the price was okay. I highly recommend it.

Food was pretty good, not exactly authentic but close enough...for example...Argentinean salads don't have curry flavour...and steak is usually served with chimichurri.

Well, what can I say here, rather average, price performance right on the limit, I would say I would have to eat there again so that I can really say top or hop. Service is rather inattentive and has to be called for everything. The food was good and the portions were large. Criticism of the boss: If you want to be an Argentinian specialty restaurant then advertise a little more at the table. The bottom line is yes, I'll come back and then see if the last few stars are deserved.

Had dinner there again with a friend yesterday. Delicious as always. And the waiter is unbeatable: friendly, prompt, attentive, and also entertaining. Gladly again.

We went to Argentina Steakhouse today for a business lunch. It was definitely the last time. The waitress used everyone's word without even knowing us. Since there was a significant age difference, it came across as a bit strange. Otherwise it was moderately well organized. Given the prices quoted, I would expect a different service. The whole thing continued with the meal: The bread was most likely a “baked baguette”. For rump steak I got two small grilled "schnitzels", less than 1cm thick. So there is room for improvement here.

The restaurant is nice, service was good and plate were, it's true, quite good but not exceptional. When you pay your plate 72CHF(300 grams beef + side veggetables + fries + sauce) you could expect a little extraordinary something in front of you :-( Beside this, braed comes with 3 litle "tapenade", which is pleasant.

We ordered statehouse hamburger and chicken breast. Both were really bad and not tasty. The waiters were not friendly. I do not recommend this place

Great Argentina themed restaurant! I loved the name of the dishes in Spanish in the menu. It'll be cool that the workers know Spanish as well and some tango music maybe, but everything was excellent!!!

Fine and decent restaurant. The restaurant itself isn't spectacular, but the service is efficient and the meat specialties are impressive. If a restaurant is full on a Saturday evening, then it is a good restaurant. Because Saturday is by far one of the most important days of the week. Then you won't just let yourself be spoiled by bad food. The steakhouse keeps its promise. The sauces for the aperitif are delicious. They taste fantastic with bread. I could tell that the restaurant offers good meat from the good quality of the beef tartare, spicy, well-seasoned, delicate, with a delicious salad. The risotto was not spectacular, but fine, especially with aromatic porcini mushrooms. All in all, a very home-style restaurant where you can have a good night out on Saturday evening. Next time I really crave meat, I'll try the rump steak.

If you like meat, the Argentina Steakhouse is the perfect place for you. There are typical Argentinian starters such as empanadas, chorizo ​​or morcilla. Beef in all variations and sizes. My favorite: Bife de Chorizo ​​(rump steak). If you still have room for a dessert, you will find Crema Catalana and other fine sweets on the menu.

War vor einiger Zeit im Argentinas in Winterthur mit meiner Familie. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und das Personal freundlich. Ein gutes Steak genau so gebraten, wie angegeben. Zart und lecker! Kann ich ganz klar weiterempfehlen!

Gut angepasst an Corona-Situation

Das Steakhouse ist geschlossen. Im Internet sind dazu leider keinerlei Informationen zu finden.

Sehr fein, tolle Spareribs, gutes vielfältiges Gemüse, Pommes tiptop, Steaks waren auf dem Garpunkt wie sie bestellt waren und feine Sauce in der Sauciere dazu. Es gab ein Gratis Dessert wegen Geburtstag in der Gruppe, wurde leider komischerweise direkt nach Abräumung des Hauptganges serviert bevor wir alle überhaupt die Dessertkarten bekommem haben. Creme Brulé war extrem fein!

Sehr nette Bedienung. Essen kam schnell nach der Bestellung. Das Essen selbst war sehr gut, aber beim Coup Dänemark den ich zum Dessert hatte war ein bisschen zu wenig Schlagrahm und Schokolade dabei. Ansonste sehr gut. Nur zu empfehlen
