I thought because of the high ratings I'd be blown away by the experience of Korean dining here. The stars aligned. The reviews were right. The photos made me feel optimistic. Ultimately, the portions were small, the food meh and everything else mediocre. Sorry, not sorry!

Had a great Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife. Food was delicious, service nice and prices are good. It’s super well located and there are plenty of parkings around. Food is Korean fusion, it has Chinese inspired dishes mixed with Korean and it was pretty good. We really enjoyed it.

A sure value, in terms of flavors and freshness of food. But. The service leaves something to be desired: no possibility of reservation, we are served in a chain, the plate is placed on the table without hearing a "bon appetit", and barely placed when the sommelier already looks elsewhere... As for the price, the plate at CHF 28.- (bowl of rice, handful of salad and chicken in sauce), it's a bit expensive for a weekday lunch dish... and no possibility of falling back on the menu of day because there simply isn't one. Note that the restaurant is very noisy and the tables are very close together. So avoid the business meal or the romantic moment... A tip for eating there at lunchtime during the week, without waiting: show up around 11:40 a.m., not after!

Friendly, attentive staff - excellent food served quickly - everything freshly prepared - great atmosphere - decent prices! CONCLUSION: completely satisfied, full in the mind and in the stomach😉! We'll be back....👍

A great, fresh kitchen. The staff is great! A perfect organization and extremely customer friendly. The menus are prepared immediately after you order. It was amazing how quickly our menus were served to us. The place is not very big. It's worth making a reservation.

One of the best Korean restaurants in town. The dishes are very well executed and the prices very competitive, both for lunch and dinner. Please note, no reservations possible, come before noon or after 1 p.m. to easily get a table.

Food and service are good. But is that a reasonable price for a rice dish with cola? Bibimpa with meat, a very small kimchi, cola = 50.50 francs

The food is tasteful and just perfect! The service is friendly and good. It is almost always full and can quickly get loud. Unfortunately it has no parking spaces. The portions could be larger for the price charged.

This restaurant offers very unhealthy food. One of friend fell sick after having food here and I also got stomach pain after having food here.I would not recommend this restaurant.

Worst chicken noodles i have ever eaten. Hugely overpriced for a substandard low quantity. Never coning here again. Did not even have enough options with noodles on the menu and said has to be ordered separately, as if it is some gold that one is ordering.

Good choice and good quality but prices a little higher than average

The employee told us that they were only open until 9 p.m., so the warm welcome was not there. The menu is a bit lean, few starters and there are still some main courses, but you can easily add a few dishes. It has enough drinks. The starters and drinks arrived quickly, the main course was also ready in no time, the food was bombastic. The tables could be cleaned cleaner. All in all very good restaurant

Good Korean restaurant in downtown Bern. The service is quick and friendly and it’s waking distance from the main train station.

It tastes like the stone pot bibimbap I had in my home country.

People in wheelchairs cannot enter here, so please go to another restaurant. Even though it is Europe, it is not Europe for people in wheelchairs.

Very very delicious food! I've been eating here again and again for several years. I still love it as much as I did the first time! The dishes are very delicious - my favorite is BULGOGI with pork! Plus the salad with the fine sauce; simply delicious. The staff are very friendly! I was a little disappointed with the drinks. I thought there was something very special about cold Korean tea. It was Korean IceTea from the Pet bottle and I didn't like it at all. I would prefer something neutral. Unfortunately, prices have risen somewhat in recent years and portions have become somewhat smaller. All in all highly recommended! Will continue to eat here!

No, the atmosphere is less suitable for a romantic meal. However, the food, freshly prepared, makes up for this minus. Absolutely recommended, a culinary highlight every time.

The food is okay, although not overwhelming for my taste. But what particularly bothers me are the opening times. Officially you can order until 8:30 p.m. (which is already very early to close the kitchen!). But we were turned away twice shortly after 8 p.m. with the reason "the kitchen is already closed"... If you want to eat there, you should definitely arrive before 8 p.m., I haven't seen that anywhere else in Bern...!!

Food was ok, but very basic. Salad with almost Italian salad dressing just doesn't go well with dak bulgogi. Price performance is not right.

After living in Switzerland for 3 years, this place represents the worst price to performance ratio (priseleistungsverhaltnis) of any Swiss restaurant I know. The quality of the food is not worth the price they charge. A vegetarian bibimbap for lunch should not cost $40, even in Switzerland.

It was really good food, more than full (reservation recommended) but it was a very noisy restaurant and had a more fast food atmosphere.

Very tasty Korean cuisine. Service friendly. Waiting time was reasonable despite the restaurant being full. Volume level a bit high. Opening hours could be longer. Most prices are ok. The seaweed, which you can order as an extra, is nothing other than the same portion of nori snack that you can buy in Coop and Migros. Simply almost twice as expensive. All in all, a good restaurant that we would visit again.

I really like the typical Korean food at Arirang... the beef bulgogi is delicious and delicious. The waiters are very friendly. While eating you can look into the open kitchen, the food served is fresh.

Good Korean food 😋. Lunch service was polite and fast. 7 minutes from the train station. Toilet is in the basement so not wheelchair accessible. Will definitely go again.

My rating refers to the selection of vegan dishes. Apparently there is only one vegan menu: dumplings. They are good but only 6 pieces. Much too little. I was still very hungry afterwards. It's a shame that no other dishes are vegan.

If you like Asian cuisine, this is super delicious. Tastes very authentically Korean. Been to Korea a few times myself... You definitely have to try it...

Restaurant to quickly eat a plate. Very crowded tables and noisy place. Food ok. Be careful, there is a quick queue on weekdays at 12 p.m. and you have to climb a few steps to get in.

The food was good, but honestly quite expensive. Almost 40.-- for Bibimbap with egg and beef. I'd say it was a generous portion though.

Highly recommended, I had fried rice with vegetables (vegi), which was excellent. Usually very busy at lunchtime and therefore waiting times.

It's just fusion, so it's Korean style... If you want to eat bibimbap, make it and there is no kimchi stew. And... it's not a very friendly restaurant. It's a Korean restaurant... so-so. I went that day without making a reservation, so it was cold. Anyway, bibimbap is ok, but if you add bulgogi to bibimbap, be sure to check. Later, when I told him that he didn't give it to me, the waiter frowned. The review ends here!

Very good service but the quality of the dishes varied greatly. We had fried ravioli as a starter. The texture and taste strongly resembled low-end industrial ravioli. At 16.- entry, hard to digest... As a main course, once the Bi Bim Bab with an egg. Rice cooking not optimal and not very tasty. On the other hand, the Bulgogi was excellent. So next time we'll just have a Bulgogi

Very good food, service friendly, price very expensive (probably due to location) - there is potential for optimization when paying (since takeaway is queued at the same place as the guests, who are, however, allowed to "advance". It is recommended at lunchtime either before 12:00 p.m to show up or make a reservation - the place is usually full of people - I'll be happy to come back

still very tasty, but the prices are now outrageously high and have exceeded the pain threshold. 30.50 for a Boul Gogi with a mineral is excessive and borders on usury for me.

Not typical authentic Korean foods but it wasn't bad at all. Really enjoyed the lunch with their special Gochujang hot sauce. Jaeyuk, spicy pork and stir fried vegetable with chicken were great!

The bibimbap is definitely too expensive for what it is. Above all, the CHF 9 surcharge for approx. 20 grams of beef is simply absurd. In Zurich, definitely not a cheap place, something like this could never be sold at this price.

It was the first time for everyone of us eating in a Korean restaurant. Under a friend of ours’ suggestion, we opted for Kimchi, Bibimbap and Bulgogi. We have been welcomed from various waiters with a big smile on their faces and they have been very kind and exhaustive in explaining our dishes , except for the bibimbap sauce which was a family secret recipe. We enjoyed almost everything with the only exception of kimchi but it’s not restaurant’s fault , just we didn’t like the taste. Price is average for being in Bern, but I don’t think it’s that high. Suggested

As a Japanese person, from experience I avoid Asian restaurants because Nooch, Namamen and whatever they are called are simply not good and are very expensive. However, the quality of Arirang is outstanding and the service is extremely friendly.

Reception: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (simple and straightforward); Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (very friendly and attentive); Cuisine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (short waiting times, small but great menu - personal highlight: salad dressing and Yon Oe); Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (absolutely fair value for money). I'll keep coming back :)

Good quality. But nothing special. We paid a very high price for a little salad with tuna and salmon. Waiting time OK. Service was sufficiently friendly. All in all a 3 (Google) star restaurant with show kitchen.
